Not be threatened by a disclaimer because you dont plan to participate in any criminal activity that would prevent you from using your AP to return to the US?
No I have not because I just got it last week but everybody does. That's what it's purpose is.
Thank you! We will proceed booking our tickets then

You will never be 100% safe until you receive citizenship but that's what AP and similarity the GC are for: authorized parole into the US.
It's simply a neccessary disclaimer.
As long as you have your AP card in hand upon return and it is still valid, you will be questioned like everyone else who tries to enter the US and paroled back in.....unless you have given the CBP officer any reason that you should not be allowed to return.
I see.. I don't know what to do now lol
Have you travelled outside with AP?

Hello! Today I received my actual combo card EAD and AP.
I am concerned when I read the paper saying, even if I have this card it is not a guarantee for admission when travelling back to the US. We are about to book our ticket to the Philippines but reading the statements makes me nervous if I'm going to be allowed to come back. It even says parole upon your return to the US is not guaranteed.
Is it safe to really travel outside the US with this kind of precautions?

Today I received the approval notice in the mail for EAD and AP, I thought the card is with it LOL. I didn;t know it's going to be mailed separately. How long does it usually take to get the actual cards?

I don’t trust it until I see it in the mail box lol😂
LOL this is true. That's why I'm not 100% confident in buying the ticket yet

“Card/document production” updated on 15th Monday, 16th changed to “Case approved” and today “Card mailed to me”
that's nice!!

My updates where the same. “Card being produced” & then “Case approved”.
Just got an email and SMS with status “Card mailed to me” a few minutes ago.
What are the intervals of your updates?

I would think you should be well in the clear to book tickets for the end of July! Technically USCIS has 30 days to send you the documents, but you're well within that cautionary range.
Coming from someone who missed a flight due to USCIS being unpredictable, I would highly suggest getting trip insurance for your flight and/or booking a changeable fare. This will relieve you of A LOT of stress if, god forbid, you don't receive the document in time.
Hope this helps! Have an amazing trip!
Thank you!

Thanks, will do this

I actually received our AP about 1 1/2 weeks after approval. We only got the AP approval but no EAD yet. We got the AP approval and then a week later an update said the document was produced. After that update we received the document 3 days later. If you get an update to say document was produced than I think you should be safe. That is my experience but who knows with USCIS. Everything is usually up in the air with them. Hope this helps.
Thanks. LOL but my updates are weird, it actually started from "card is being produced" to "case approved" so who knows. I guess I'll wait to be sure

Hello again, my husband and I have been waiting for my AP since we are planning to go out of the country by end of July, now that my AP says its approved on the website, but it's not on hand yet, is it safe to buy the ticket now? the longer we wait, the higher the ticket prices are going up. I assume between now and end of July I would have the AP on hand ?

You will have to be specific with "old" and "new".
I run my scans on egov.uscis.gov.
Those statuses/timeline of statuses are from there.
egov.uscis.gov. - this is where i saw the case was approved for both EAD and AP.
in the new site, which is https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov this is where it says new card being produced for EAD only

The "Case Approved" status is a weird one. It should go (according to my research through scans of the I765):
New card being produced.
Card was mailed to me.
Card picked up by USPS.
Card delivered to me by the post office.
And then finally Case Approved for some weird reason.
I think somebody(s) is just new.
This update is actually from the old site. The new site still says card being produced for my EAD and no update for AP.
Hmm...I hope this is not a problem or mistake. That's why I asked here because I've never seen a case approved after a card being produced.
Thank you @K1visaHopeful

Hello, just a question, my status for EAD and AP changed to "case was approved" from "new card being produced" - does this mean they are going to send it to the mail?
based on the comments here in VJ, i thought it would change to "new card being sent to mail"

CONGRATULATIONS.
I guess VJ timeline prediction is working for some people.
Thank you
6 minutes ago, C💏A said:AP status rarely updates as I have seen in other cases. Mine hasn’t changed either. As EAD &AP comes as a combo card, it would logically mean AP is approved same time as EAD.
I see, thanks. It actually updated on the old site and not on the new site. new site still says case received.

EAD and AP are just processed in NBC is this correct? That's where the basis of 5-7mos processing? I saw other service centers with faster processing times.
-
My VJ estimate says my AP is past due and EAD is any day. Now I know this is just a rough estimate and not 100% accurate however when I was going through the K1 visa, the estimated timeline was actually correct. Should I be following up with my case or just let it be? Based on the new USCIS site, they received my case December 17. My biometrics was January 9.

I just checked the old website and it says "case is ready to be scheduled" I know it will still be a wait after this. I heard from friends that it still took them months before actually getting an interview, but thank God for the update, really helps lessen anxiety LOL, I wish everyone for updates on their cases as well

I am contemplating on whether I should expedite my EAD and AP. Some people say expediting can also lengthen your process, some people say it works to expedite.

EAD card is being produced due to expedite. All I did was submit a work offer letter ans signed privacy release forms to my congressman. They did the work for me. Took only 2 weeks.
Hi, question, so a work offer letter is the only requirement for a request to expedite? What is the process? I have had 2 job offers but I couldn't take it since my EAD is not here yet. Biometrics Jan 9 and no update yet,

We had our AOS Interview today. It was very easy. Interview officer was very friendly and professional. She just verified every question of the form I-485 and asked us how we met. We got a letter saying "recommended for approval" and 15 minutes later checked the USCIS web page and status changed to "new card is being produced". This process could not have been easier or faster. Just be honest and everything will work out perfectly.
70 days between filing date and Interview.
Congratulations on your fast process! Me still waiting with no update on the old and new website
Biometrics was January 9.

Traveling with AP question:
Passport name is still single name but AP is married name. Will this be a problem when i travel abroad?
