Wohoo! Congratulations! Hopefully, they'll start looking into 21000 cases, too.
Hi fellow San Franciscan! I hope your turn is the next!

Anyone here with case status service center listed as YSC? (The old D.C. prefix) See you next June.
Thank you!

I stopped checking the progress and just take a little peek here from time to time. I'm busy with work and I'm loving my American life with my husband now. The last time I checked, it took 11 months in CSC. I don't mind getting the 10 years GC quickly, but getting it on time is also welcome 😊

Was able to get my background check report yesterday and all checks are passed, was providing everything such as job ref letter, university transcript and grad certificate, I cannot believe all checks are done on or before 4/15 but the report is released in 4/22
However I still cannot receive any feedback from my employer yet, I don’t know what kind of stuff they are still looking for or to be discussed internally (maybe I only have ead and am not lpr yet IDK) But one thing I can be sure with is I cannot expect the efficiency here is the same as Hong Kong.
Your prospective employer will contact you to discuss further in the onboarding process like I-9 verification or they might want to ask more documents. Believe me, the hiring process here can take a looong time. I applied on October 2021, got an interview on December 2021. The offer and background check didn't start until January this year and was completed for three weeks! I was finally on boarded in February.

For the background check for my recent employment, they asked me to provide them with my employers contacts for the last 10 years in Indonesia. It took them about 2 weeks to say they couldn't verify my info. So my employer asked me to give them the contracts or any proof of employment and proof of termination. Ten years is a long time ago. I didn't have all the documententation they asked, but I still have the letter of appointment and slip of wages with my position and name on it. So don't worry, your prospective employer will inform you if they need more documents and if the background check company can't verify them. Good luck with your job hunting in America!

I moved here with K1 and it took me 3 months to get the EAD/AP. After I got my DL, i started to seriously looki for a job and got many interviews with tech companies. No luck with EAD/AP. I received my GC 8 months later and then covid restriction started. Many people were laid off and it was more challenging for a new immigrant like me to even get an interview. I got my first real American job 11 months after I received my GC or 19 months since I received my EAD/AP. My first job was an analyst with a tech company. I moved to a better position (wage is 2 times higher than my first) with the same tech company within a year. Now I'm a localization project manager with 6 digit income.

My prefix is WAC. I hope they're going to waive my biometrics soon too although I'm preparing myself not to hear from them for months. But I'm crossing my fingers!

We received the NOA extending the green card for 24 months. Does anyone know how long until there's a decision on whether they will reuse existing biometrics or there's an appointment?

I also received mine today. Waiting time begins now.
Please consider to fill the spreadsheet for November 2021 ROC filer and yes let's the wait begin!

Just checked it now and yes it changed to 7-22 months hahahaha Time to enjoy the wait. I always think dealing with USCIS is like cooking rice. Once it's submitted, stop checking the status until it's out of normal processing time (which may change from time to time)
