  1. Hello everyone!

We filed our i-751 form on November 2021 and 5 days ago the status changed to "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken" Do you guys know what it means? I didn't get any notification regarding biometrics appt. How long does it take for the next update? Do you guys know what the next step is?

thanks in advance and you all be safe out there!

You don't need to tell them anything if you change

This is not a k1 issue,  you posted in the wrong forum

Yeah I know sorry. I didnt know where to post this so I chose k-1 instead

when i received my I-797 notice for my ead approval it says here that if my i-485 is pending within 180 days and I need to change my employer, I need to let them know and give them my new job offer.

  3. Hi everyone,

I have a pending I-485 and submitted my application last July 2019 and I'm still waiting for it. I was able to expedite my ead due to a pending job offer. Now, my question is, am I allowed to change employer as long as I have a new job offer? If so, how do I do it? Do I need to call uscis? Thank you!

Correct,  for those of us who experienced the May biometrics scheduling snafu,  some were getting RFEs before the biometrics appointment

Thank you guys for the quick response.

My status hasn’t changed at all. A week after my bio appointment it only changed to “fingerprint review was completed”. Now I’m so worried coz I saw a lot of people who were issued an rfe even though they’re above the 125% poverty guidelines. What i’m worried about is that When i submitted my aos, I only included my husband’s 2018 itr. We’re only a household of 2. And now I’m worried sick coz i got a job offer and requested to expedite my ead. I’m sooo nervous that this might affect our application.

    😭

  5. Hi @Greenbaum

I asked you before whether I need to create a new ds160 or not after noticing that I made a mistake after submitting it.

You told me that there’s no need for me to create a new one since i can just tell the CO myself to update it on my behalf on the day of the interview However, I was so bothered that I can’t sleep because I noticed a lot of mistakes with the dates that I entered.😭😭😭

What I did was I opened up my ds160 and retrieved the application and I clicked on create a new application and it just showed me my information that I already entered so I only updated the information that needs to be changed but when I submitted it, it generated a new confirmation bar code.

Someone told me that it’s fine as long as my interview appointment schedule is linked to my corrected DS160. But how would I know that it’s linked? Do I need to create a new acct and set an interview schedule again? Please let me know. I really dont know what to do and stressing me out. I’m aftraid that on the day of my interview they will just tell me to reschedule my interview.

Take the DS-160 that you have already completed with the error and inform the CO that you want a correct made to the unticked box that you now want ticked because you did received and read the IMBRA pamphlet. There is no harm in doing this. There are many who ask the CO to do this for them. Do not create a new DS-160 for this little error.

    Thank you @Greenbaum

  7. Hi everyone,

I have already submitted my ds160 and scheduled my exam on the 7th of march. just realized that I made some mistakes I was not able to tick the “I hereby certify that I have received a copy of the IMBRA pamphlet as part of my application packet”

and entered the wrong date of when I graduated. Will this cause a problem? It it possible to create a new ds160 and then bring the old and new revised confirmation page on the 7th?

    Thank you!

Although you can't make "corrections" you can start over completely and take the new confirmation page with you to the interview. As long as you dont have an interview scheduled already.

I already have a scheduled interview that will be on March 7. I only realized that I made a mistake after I scheduled the interview.

Does that mean I can go ahead and create a new one? I just have to bring the old and new confirmation page? Am I correct?

  9. Hey @Greenbaum

Our case number has been assigned on January 9th but we’re tracking it on ceac website and it’s still showing “At NVC”. What do they do after they assigned a case number? Are they still reviewing the case? Making some background checks or something? How long does it normally take for a case status to be “in transit?”

I really am hoping to have my medical done by the end of this month. Hope to hear from you. Thank you!
