AOS 14 JuLy

IV Fees 16 JuLy

than website was down for 2 weeks.

Documents uploaded 31st JuLy,received checklist about joint sponser and irregular scan of marraige certificate.

Submit documents again on 4 August and got C.C today.

Hopefully waiting for interview date in september INSHALLAH.

Embassy is Islamabad.

Our visa was approved from the Islamabad, Pakistan Embassy on the 8th. We arrived at the embassy around 7 and the process started at about 8. We were called at the first window to get a token number after they saw our interview letter. Then we sat down and were called at the second window to submit finger prints after a few minutes. Then waited again for a few and were called to another window to submit key documents (Nikah Nama (Urdu), Nikah nama Nadra, birth certificate, passport, Passport photos). We were then called to a fourth window for the actual interview. The interview was straightforward and included a few basic questions. From me (Petitioner):

2: Where do you live in the US?

 

From both of us:

 

1: Was either if you divorced before?

2: Do you have any kids together?

 

After that she told us that our case was approved and to collect the passport from designated place in 2 weeks. However, its just been two days and I got two calls from the place you get the passport from today. I was not able to receive the calls but I am guessing that the passport may be ready.

 

I wanted to thank all of visajourney members for the help throughout this process. I hired no lawyers and everything I did was based on the guidance and help from the members here. We both appreciate all the help we got and wish all of you waiting for your cases to be approved the best of luck.

You will get passport in some days.

Be ready to pay green card fees after that.

We got case number in 25 days hope c.c and interview date will be fast also.

Unfortunately, USCIS makes pay us a huge price not only for our mistakes, but also for USCIS's mistakes as well. I suggest you to write down a letter and give it to the Officer during the interview. In the letter, you have to explain that the lawyer made a mistake and provide the correct info about your child. It may seem as not important right now (because the child is not coming with you), but later may become a problem.

Yeah you are absoloutely right!

Actually nowadays Lawyers are just charging a lot of fees and still making mistakes,why we need to go to lawyer if we still have to get problems.

So Guys today i uploaded all the financial documents and civil documents including joint sponser.

NVC rejected the first marriage certificate and birth certficate as it was not scanned properly,but hopefully now we get C.C soon.

In how many days after uploading all documents do NVC give C.C and than interview date guys?

Our fees was paid on wednesday and were going yo fill form Ds_260 on thursday.

But website under maintanence from thursday still now,4 days wasted.

Hello Everyone,

My husband came in to the USA last week, POE was JFK, New York (final destination was Missouri). He bought a one way Emirates ticket from Abuja, Nigeria and stopped over in Dubai for a day (got a Dubai visitors visa). Questions at POE were; 

*Double check his address on the packet to make sure it was correct in order to avoid mailing issues

* What kind of food he has (because he checked 'yes' for food items on the declaration form)

*What state he is going to

* To say his home address in Missouri

 

That was all. He went on to board a connecting flight to STL in Missouri. My Naija folks, all my goodies got home to me safely (ground nut, Ijebu garri, elubo, chin chin, Indomie, pepper soup spice, semolina, ogbono etc.) 😊

 

We are now waiting for his social security card to arrive in the mail so we can go for his driver's license application/test. We are not sure how quickly the green card will arrive but I will be sure to update when it does. Good luck to everyone on this journey and those who have been approved.
