in my mothers case.. we got a rfe on 10/12/17 .. we had until 12/12/17 to reply back. BUT we sent the response back on 10/25/17 . ( they had requested updated medicals) they SINGED FOR IT...... we sent it using certified mail.......... 60 days passed and we put in a service request and on 01/02/18 we get a response saying they "never received the response" WHAT?! total BS.. thankfully my lawyer had proof they signed for it so we sent a letter explaining the situation BUT nothing has been said yet.....

You should send them again might be misplaced.

    Waiting might delay your case

    They asked for "Nikhanama"

My husband did submitted the English translation one, but they still asking for it.

Don't know , what to say

My brother laws application is same as mine. He got his approval few days ago.

    You should have submit both.

Your local language orginal one and english translation one.

And if any authority in your country issues registered marraige certificates you should be getting that too.

As i dont know about country rules but you should visit (uscis document requured by country website)

After almost 8 months of waiting I got a rfe yesterday.  It was so frustrating. :(

Please keep us in your prayers.

Congratulations! To all,  who received their NOA2

Its good now, they are working on your case.

Btw what they asked for in RFE?

And i was thinking texas service center is taking 6 to 7 months?

    8 month are longer time.

I was totally surprised today when I checked the mail to find our NOA2 approval notice! All communications from them before this have involved them giving me an e-mail/text update first, and then I receive the mail version after. So, I was totally not expecting the NOA2 in the mail yet as I hadn't received any texts or e-mails. I'm so excited :) and a little nervous about hoping to make sure we do everything else right and can be together smoothly asap!

    It's dated 02/06/2018

    Potomac Service Center

(We had an RFE so that's why it took about an extra month)

    Congrats

My wife’s deceased ex husband was petition by her sister for i130 with my wife and step kids on that ...if now I apply for my wife the I-130 will this effect the process or nothing will show ...

I think there will not be any effect of that as her ex already deceased.

This will be a new petition with new petitioner.

Moreover if needed you can show her ex death certificate at interview or NVC stage.

    Hi,

I have not applied DCF (TBH i did not even know about this until I just googled it)

I just hope that they are not requesting some kind of weird evidence.

No,RFE is common and possible they will be requiring some kind of missed document.

Might be Birth certificate copy,M.C,petitioner passport copy or any missed pic.

So be prepared and reply them ASAP.

Guys guys guys, so after 295 days today my case status has been changed to "REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL EVIDENCE WAS MAILED".. this is a goooood news for me but at the same time it is bad.. anyways.. guys with RFEs, how long the process gets delayed because of RFE?

    Hy Mdanish4

Its good that they are now working on your case.

I have just seen your timeline.

But 295 days is too much...

I think california service center is too slow

Have you applied DCF(direct consular filing)from pakistan or while in u.s.

You should be contacting uscis and secondly RFE delay is not more than 15 to 30 days after receiving in majority of cases.

New to this website! i find it quite confusing not going to lie ANYWAYS! Here's my "story"

So i met my husband overseas, i tried to get a tourist visa but got it denied

We're married now and im an italian/colombian citizen and came to Colombia to be closer to him since he got transferred to San Diego ..my husband is in the US navy and currently deployed since October '17..he filed a I-130 a couple of days before leaving and we have a lawyer helping us with the process and asked to expedite our case, with many months apart the least we would like is me being in port waiting for my husband. Now i obviously got the receipt 2 weeks after the forms were sent and my husband being so impatient constantly messages our lawyer if theres anything we can do to speed up the process. I'm a big traveller and know visas take a long time and work ..

On the USICS processing time page i find it so confusing to understand whats going on..Our lawyer sent our application to Texas Service Center but the receipt is from Nebraska Service Center

OCTOBER FILERS...do you have any idea when we could be hearing from immigration? also is there really any different treatment for military?

This process is a roller coaster i just can't wait to get off

    Hy

I am also OCT filer but my case is on Texas service center.

    P.D 10 OCT

According to V.J my estimated approval time is in the start of May.

I think you should have written a letter to uscis with your petition and give some reason for expedition, like financial problems or security problems and told them your husband is u.s miltiary personel.

Secondly nebraska is a very slow service center like taking 8 9 months.

So you should be contacting uscis.

    Hope this heLp you

I'm not sure how to explain my feelings right now as I was told to expect the NOA2 to come Mid June.

I just opened the mail and opened a letter from home land security with the crisp green paper with I-797 Notice of Action "The above petition has been approved"

WHAT? How can this be? 68 Days?

Can someone point us towards what to do now? How do we pay the fees? I understand that I should reach out to NVC two weeks after.

    Thank you!!!!

    Congrats

Please mention above you were filing I_129F and it was DCF.

Secondly for NVC state this might heLp

just curious .. you got your citizenship in 2001 ... how come you didn't file for your wife and kid at that time ?

were you living in Pakistan and just moved to USA recently ?

I once applied for them in NoV 2001 but later it was denied due to not proving RFE on time,as at that time english marraige certificate and family registration certificate ware not available from NADRA Pakistan.

I than decided to let them study here in Pakistan coz of financial problems.

I moved back in Pakistan in 2006 and later stayed here tiLL 2013 and than move back to U.S.

Now M.A they both are in medical colleges

You should read the information on the NVC website: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/collect-and-submit-forms-and-documents-to-the-nvc/step-5-collect-supporting-documents.html

It says that for police certificate:

    Unavailable

Comments: Pakistan has no nationwide tracking system for criminal activities. Police Character Certificates are available for a fee from District Coordinating Offices. However, they are not an accurate reflection of an individual's criminal record. An applicant who has committed a crime in one district may be able to obtain a clean Character Certificate from that district or another. Given the inaccuracy of these certificates, they are not required for consular processing.

    Hello everyone,

We were approved at our interview on the 29th. I keep seeing where you have to create a profile on UStraveldocs.com/gh.

Our online status still says ISSUED and I can not track the passport but just use the case number. Below is what I can see when I log in to UStraveldocs.com/gh

    Screen Shot 2018-02-08 at 12.24.01 PM.png

    You should contact embassy.

    Email them or call them

  14. Hy Guys

I know this may be early somehow but i dont want any delay in procedure so

I am early preparing documents and paperwork required for NVC and islamabad embassy stage.

I have applied IR 1 for my spouse and IR 2 for my son age 20 now and f1 for my daughter over _21.

TSC 10 OCT 120 days passed.

    They  are currently in Pakistan.

There are no red flags in the case.

Neither she was married before nor i was and i got citizenship through sponsering of my sister in 2001 and green card in 1990.

As i know the reputation of islamabad embassy and their delays.

So i want heLp regarding checklist for documents required for NVC stage according to country Pakistan for IR 1 and IR 2 as F1 will be processed later in couple of years.

Any heLp regarding the documents checklist for Pakistan would be appreciated!

Thanks for your answer and time!!

Our interview went very good yesterday 7th Feb, the councler said all ok but in the end he gave us 221g and put our case on administrative process and said to one of my son who is 21 and under cspa that u will get a mail around
2.00 pm reply instantly.. that email was all about common questions, about his social media details, if married then asked about spouse and kids.. phone numbers used by last 5 years... Anyone have any idea how much time it will take as my status shows if ur visa is approved you will get it in two business days..

    Hy Munaza

I have also applied IR 2 for son who is 20nd half now and case is still pending in USCIS TSC.

I am just being curious about why your son visa was not approved and why his social media details and phone numbers was demanded by them?

IsLamabad embassy had a bad reputation of putting people in AP ,even without need sometime.

Any red flags in your case?

    Thanks

And Good Luck hope you get approval soon

Hi, I am in the process of applying an immegration to the US, I have reached to the medical exam however, I recevied an email from the NVC that the medical test would be made at the US when I arrive because the congress had made an adjustment to the US immegration law. The office even asked me for 4500 $ for me and my family. I would like to know whether there is an adjustment to the law and that I should go to the interview first and then the medical examination would be at the US when I arrive, or there is such a problem and the emails I have been receiving since a month a go is just a hack?

    What really?

    This is not possible

    4500$

You should contact NVC again and discuss this matter
