Steven and Katya got a reaction from Lariviegas in AOS AUGUST 2018 FILERS FROM K-1 [merged threads]
Today we are on 128th day since NOA1, we were going to have our honeymoon on Norwegian Cruise Line on December 17th, leaving for Miami on 13th. I feel extremely bad to cancel the cruise, since it's not refundable even though my husband says loosing $1000 is not a big problem, but I know it's difficult for him since he is still at college. We hoped till today to get my advance parole but just yesterday I found out that if I leave the US without it, my AOS application would be abandoned and the whole immigration process has to be started over. So now we are thinking to cancel the cruise and stay in Miami. I am not completely sure if we still can sell the tickets just in case If somebody is interested. I just thought to ask if someone knows if that is possible

    Hello fellow berries!

I just wanted to update our case (9-22-2017) has been approved! Make sure to check your cases if you haven't recently as they probably have just posted some updates for some cases. Thank you for the constant support and high spirits everyone. And to those still waiting, your time will come and the wait will be worth it!

You need to have your insurance to have your spouse covered.

your fiancé cannot get any coverage till finding a job (not even travel insurance as this is not travel- and can't be a public charge either)

So as far as I know you will need to get coverage yourself.

this is a question everyone comes up with, yet unfortunately there isn't a good solution for that period till they get a job.

Those tend to be expedited cases involving active military. I did a lot of timeline searching of those short cases, and found that it is almost entirely armed service members.

I don't mind the wait, it's a very small blip in the grand scheme of things, but it just baffles me how they cannot give anyone a direct answer for anything. Where is the translucency? We shouldn't have to be writing in a forum about all the possible reasons we now have so long to wait. It should be something that's just a given to us all in a direct answer.

Okay, I don't know if I'm understanding this correctly or not, but you're saying it's a privilege to apply for citizenship, but a right to know what's going on with the process?

Because of the outrageous fee, long wait times, shouldn't we have to right to know everything that's going on? If someone pays me to make something for them, they have every right to ask me why I am taking so long, why it costs so much, why I can/can't make it for them, etc..

This is what everyone is angry for. I just want them to straight up tell the truth. Which is the problem cause all their members say something different. (Or if cornered by telling them what info we have they hang up the phone.

just want them to say straight up in the website "our average wait is now 180+ days due to backlog caused by whatever reason"
