  1. so long story short Dallas field office takes forever.. wait time is 12-22 months I believe or longer. my PD is March 22nd

I received EAD combo card in July and I booked a ticket home for Christmas. I leave Dec 19th

today I received a text saying interview has been scheduled. now I know that's usually set 4 weeks roughly from when you get the interview letter.

problem: I will get letter this week obviously and will see the date im guessing its going to be within days of me leaving or potentially just after I leave.

I know you can re schedule but I will be gone for 4 wks and whos to say they wont re schedule for 1-2 weeks after original date (which I will still be overseas)

question is: obviously I still have a valid EAD combo card with advance parole. will this still be valid should my interview date be before I leave and go well??

if we get approved and card sent to my address.. on my return I will have combo card but will not have gc in hand.

  2. Hey everyone!! so excited! I requested an expedite on June 14th received letter for evidence on June 20th and faxed those off June 21st today I received an email and text saying new card is being produced. so it took 11 days. best of luck to those still waiting.

I didn't have a job offer just filed under financial loss. after waiting 300 days for my K1 I wasn't doing the huge waiting game all over again.

  3. I am so frustrated I received my letter requesting evidence. have been trying to fax now for 30 hours. 15 failed attempts.

even went to ups and they tried 3 times every time failed. on my app it sais no fax detected.

the number is correct. have called twice and even spoken with a tier 2 who was a complete smart ### and said oh well keep trying there's nothing else we can do.

has anybody else has this problem?? I even tried at 11pm last night and first thing this morning.

Hello everyone! I hope to get some advice here. Thank you in advance!

My fiance filed the K1 petition in Feb 2019 and received NOA1 in  middle of Feb.

According to visa journey, the noa2 estimate was to be received in between may 21 and may 28, but I haven't heard of anything yet.

Seems like most of Feb 2019 filers got their results in May and  most of march 2019 filers are getting their approvals already and it kinda make my fiance and me frustrated :(....

We are checking website, phone application, mailbox, and e-mail everyday, but there are no updates.

Did anyone come across similar situation before? Anyone have experienced received results way too late than visa journey estimate?

Please kindly advise or provide any suggestions  🙏🏻

Thank you for your help :)

extremely lucky. we filed Nov 2017 and didn't get approved till Aug 2018

  5. hey everyone I am a March filer. I called and made a request for an expedite last Tuesday. my status has not changed and I am waiting on a letter to request more evidence.

just wanted some info from people who have done this process... did your status change after the request and how long till you received the letter for evidence.

also anyone's time line for the expedite path would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

From what I've been seeing on the forum it takes around 6-8 days to get the texts! Taking longer seems to be the exception not the rule. Crossing my fingers you'll wake up to their texts tomorrow morning 🤞

    UPDATE

    Filed sent UPS 03/20

    Delivered 03/22

    Texts 03/27

You will not have an I-693 medical form signed by a Civil Surgeon (unless you failed to get all your immunizations signed off at your visa medical)

    .

You will have a DS-2054 medical form signed by a Panel Physician in your file.

The change seems to be addressing those who will 100% be required to see a Civil Surgeon in the US for a full medical. Example: those adjusting from work, student, or tourist visas.

    thank you

  8. In all cases, a Form I-693 signed by a civil surgeon more than 60 days before the applicant files the underlying benefit application is insufficient for evidentiary purposes as of the time of its submission to USCIS. The table below illustrates these scenarios.

Can someone please explain how this means we will not have to do another medical?

myself and a few others have interviews next week, sort of freaking out thinking we have to get POE...married..and AOS paperwork all done within 60 days of our medicals we have already had.

I know it said its valid for two years... but from my understanding that is only once AOS had been filed.

see below its saying our I-693 is not valid after 60 days

Form I-693 Submitted to USCIS On or After November 1, 2018

    When did civil surgeon sign?

    I-693 retains evidentiary value through

No more than 60 days before applicant filed underlying benefit application with USCIS

2 years from date civil surgeon signed I-693

After applicant filed benefit application with USCIS

2 years from date civil surgeon signed I-693

More than 60 days before applicant filed benefit application with USCIS

N/A – I-693 not valid at time applicant submits I-693 to USCIS

Hi @ArashD, my fiancé and I are in the same situation. Unfortunately there is no real timeline to give any indication on when your AP may be complete. The only thing you can really do is just wait and have as much patience as you possibly can.

how long so far have you been in AP? I was under the impression everyone goes through this after the interview but times differ obviously some for a day and some for months?

My fiancee got packet 3 on 9/11 and sent it back almost immediately.  We just now got packet 4 after having to contact support-australia, and her interview is now scheduled for October 30.

Looks like this is now the content of Sydney's packet 4 letter:

Others who have gotten Packet 4 lately, does this look right?

Yes i got the same today!

our case was received on 9/10 and marked "ready" on the CEAC website. We got the packet 3 email the next day.  You could try to contact them and ask what the hold up is. I got this from the US travel docs website.

Our ceac update is still saying returned to nvc from last time even tho it sais last updated on the 18th. I have tried contacting the embassy only to be told via automated message that you cannot contact them about these type of visas.

eveyone has got the packet three the next day and we haven’t. I have emailed them twice now and the just say u will need to contact nvc which I have and they say u will need to contact the embassy.

I dont know for sure, but just based on my own experience It seems that they only do K1 interviews once a month. My fiance got his interview scheduled for 10/30. However we received out packet 3 on 9/11. Since he had completed his medical and already had police check done we were expecting to get a sooner interview, but they stated there were no sooner appointments available!

Thank you. Yeah that’s what I thought. How long after the embassy received did u receive packet three? Mine was sent from nvc in the 7th sept and recieved 18th and I still do not have packet three. I need to secure oct 30 interview. I’m a nov filer and have been stuffed around by these agencies so much with this process. You can’t even call them.

  13. I am currently waiting on my packet three.

my understanding is that they only do interviews one day a month? can anybody confirm this and for anybody who has done one

do you know roughly how many interviews they schedule for that day? is it only K1 or CR1 as well.

really  hoping for an Oct interview and hoping I don't miss out.

I know, which is fantastic! With everyone's consulate and documents so different it's really refreshing to know there are people out there getting the exact same stuff as you are for the exact same process.

My head is already spinning, what now, what do we do, how the hell does the NVC/ Consulate stage work but at least I don't feel so alone.

we all here to help. its very confusing I agree.
