Oh okay, so even our NOA1 dates are almost the same, so let's stay connected and help each other with any info that can be helpful in this process.

Yesterday my fiance called uscis they told that may request rfe in this case, and that they can't provide any timelines.

Just one more question, I noticed your case is also in california service centre, right? Whom have you contacted the congressman or senator? there are congressmen for every area, we have been adviced to contact the senator of California not LA, so need to understand which is better.

We contacted our local congressman’s office in texas

I totally understand your feelings, we are in the same boat.

What is your NOA1 date?  When have you contacted your congressman and have you received any response from them or to the inquiry?

Our case was approved, it was at NVC, then department of state (DOS) requested it back and sent back to USCIS. We have not taken any steps yet so I need as much information as possible :(

    Our NOA1 is Nov 1st.

Yes ours has responded she has some sort of contact there nothing special but yeah at least that person is actually at the service centre. Tier twos are useless when it comes to information especially with cases like ours. So try contacted them and explain they have direct emails to the service centres so it’s worth a try.

Has anyone contacted a senator or a congressman regarding a delayed case? Ours is not only delayed, but requested back.

    Any similar experience? Advice?

    Thank you!

Yes we did. But same thing kinda happened to us... got congress involved and she did inquiry. We never received approval or NOA2. Then Only to recieve nvc letter in the mail and then case got sent all the way back to uscis where I believe it still is and nothing since.

Exactly what happened to me when I called them. The officer just disregarded everything I told him even the part where I told him I got an official letter from the NVC with an assigned case number.

He just brushed it off and implied that I was making stuff up.

this honestly is complete BS!!! I knew uscis were a mess but this is a whole new level. im quite sure both our cases were approved, they had to be to be sent to nvc and then to our embassy's.

I bet they just skipped the part of imputing this into their system so of course to them it looks like we never  approved.

I feel like un approved cases don't make it from uscis to nvc and then to embassy.

its a joke and im so angry because according to nvc our case was approved on May 18th and they received in June 26th.

What? Do you know why it was returned to NVC? It could be a technical error I hope. Let us know

Nvc couldn’t tell me why they just do what uscis request. Fiancé called uscis and they basically said no your case has never been approved he prettty much ignored my fiancé when he said we had a letter from nvc. To make matters worse we did an inquiry mid June they still will not do another one.

Yes, a case can come back from the Embassy. It happened to us.

All the USCIS has to do is recall it and it goes back.

The CEAC status doesn't mean a whole lot because mine still says "ready" on it even though they no longer have it.

It's just as bad as the USCIS status site, never gets updated and if it does it's way behind. Heck, the USCIS old site and new site for me still says "your case has been received Nov. 8th 2017"

It's funny how statistically, what are the odds that my case would be the one that has all the wrong, weird stuff that happens to it?! Like 1 in a 10,000 and yet it happened.

So sorry this has happened to both of us. We never even contacted uscis asking for our NOA2... nvc letter came today and by the time I checked ceac website our case has already been recalled and no one can tell me why. To say I’m devastated is beyond a joke right now. This is a cruel journey.

I'm guessing with my answer, but I think there was something that USCIS missed and needs to be rectified before it can be sent on for the interview. This is going to take some time to sort out and I am sorry that your waiting time has just be extended which I believe it to be 30-45 days with how slow USCIS works. I would recommend that you call USCIS customer service and see what they say.

Soo annoying to.. as the beneficiary I was finally anle to talk to nvc about our case.... I’m just better at this kind of thing than my fiancé. And now it’s back to me not being able to contact uscis!!!

I don’t remember as such , there was one  person whose case got returned from NVC  to USCIS because they didn’t get a NOA2 and since he requested that his case got sent back. I think there was one more case.

Our case got to the embassy and now it’s going back to uscis and nothing we can do. If anybody has had this happen to them please contact me :( if really appreciate it.

Our case was approved in May... and we never knew it. Not that it matters now

My opinion is that you call both the US Embassy their in Aussie and also NVC. Just be respectful but don't get off the phone till you are satisfied with the answers they are giving.

I just got off the phone with nvc... apparently according to them our case was approved may 18th. We never recieved anything from uscis.. till this day both websites say case received even did an inquiry midway through June to be told our case was pending adjudication. Now it got all the way to us embassy in australia and iv just been told it’s going back to uscis ;( I am devastated.

What did the letter say? When you say you received a letter, was that a paper letter and not an email? Have you checked your "spam" email folder to see if the approval letter landed there? I'd recommend calling NVC and get to a tier 2 or supervisor to get this ironed out. If you feel comfortable please let us know your progress and any findings. This will get worked out but it going to take some time.

Yes I received snail mail dated 6th July from the NvC saying they were forwarding it on the the Australian embassy. . I have never recieved any emails. Both uscis websites still say case recieved... we did an inquiry mid way through June and they responded with pending adjucation & zero updates till this today. Pretty devastating to be screwed around by uscis and now this as well.

Have you tried to look up the NVC case number on the CEAC website to see what its status is?

I have heard of cases returning to USCIS from the NVC because of processing errors that were recognized at the NVC but I have never heard a case being returned to NVC from the embassy. It will he interesting to see what your status is on CEAC.

the status on ceac sais returned to NVC

  12. hey everyone Nov 1st filer here... we never got NOA2 or approval and until today had no idea we had even been approved  this afternoon i the beneficiary received a letter from NVC dated 3 wks ago.

    Hi all,

Did anyone preciously call USCIS for I-129F that was outside normal processing times? What happenend later

My case is 1 day after normal time so I called USCIS and the immigration guy did a special request for me and said in the coming 15 days you will receive a mail explaining why your case is still pending or you might get approval too.

    Just want your feedback

    Thanks in advance

Nov 1st filer here still no NOA2. No rfe either. Be patient you could possibly be waiting a while.
