Before the AOS interview or after?
It would be before.

Hello all,
Is there anyway to inform USCIS of my job status change as a Sponsor? I'm still making above the limit but everything else is different.

@mysticdolphin95 did this too and they had a long wait afterwards. Maybe send a msg to them.

Not sure about Sydney, but yes, we did have an unfortunately long wait (about a month) after the interview for the visa out of Auckland. My partner did his medical before the interview, too (3 days prior) so while it wasn't there on the day he interviewed it arrived at the consulate the day after. Very frustrating as it just seemed to sit for a few weeks, especially since they said it wouldn't be an issue. I'd say to email the consular staff, but we found them to be very unhelpful - just kept telling us to keep waiting!
Thank you both for your replies. Waiting is definitely on the table. Hopefully we'll hear something soon.

Hello everyone,
My fiance had his interview last week before his medical. Apparently that was okay. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to process the medical when its done after the interview? I'm getting anxious. He, my fiance, is chilling out, but I'm getting antsy. Any comments are appreciated.
Thanks!

Anyone know how long RFEs take? I already sent mine back. I'm waiting on pins and needles.

To show 2 year meet I just sent in pics and labeled them. They were mostly of us when he came to visit me in the states and me visiting him in Nigeria. I also sent in our itineraries and boarding passes.
Oh perfect. That will work for me. Thanks so much!

Hey, so I got an RFE for additional evidence for the Two year meeting requirement. What did ya'll submit for it to be approved? Did anyone submit affidavits of friends or neighbors or is that going overboard?
-
When did ya'll get your RFE in the mail? I'm sweating over here and checking informed delivery every few minutes.

Oh, we don't need a co-signor. As for listing the immigrant as an occupant, you can't do that. I was over 18.
Your story is complete and total bogus. As a college student, I was able to get an apartment without much credit. You're able to get a bank account with a SSN at the lower banks. The person you married could have easily gotten an apartment whether you were an immigrant or not. You could have been added onto the lease as soon as he got it. You do not need to have perfect credit to get a bank account or an apartment. It may be in the shadier parts of town but you can get an apartment without a credit check or six months financial statements.
Not knowing that you would need accommodation when you came to the US is not lack of planning. That's like saying you wouldn't know you needed to eat food. There's no such thing as a housing sponsor unless your husband does not make enough money. Even if he didn't, as I said there are ways around it. You can get your SSN two weeks after you come into the US. So, as I said. Your story is complete bull.

A copy of my signature will be enough?
Look at the form. If there isn't a place for him to sign then there's no reason for him to not just bring a copy.
-
Fill it out. sign it. Take a picture of it. Send it to him in an email. Have him print it out.

Guys, they did 122 cases yesterday, and my estimated days went down twice! Whoo hoo!

I have a quick question. With the Visa Journey timeline. It says my 129F will be adjudicated by May 5. Does this mean the NOA2 or the actual time the interview is done and all of that?

Hello everyone,
Wish I would’ve discovered this site earlier… I’m an October 2017 filer (received my NOA1 Oct. 23rd, Notice date is Oct. 20th, Received date is Oct. 18th).
The wait is killing me… My fiancé and I booked our venue for June 3rd because they had a great deal going on if we booked before the year ended… the good thing is that we can change the date if needed! I’m thinking we will most likely have to push it back .
So I have a question, where do you guys get your time estimates?
You can make a timeline on here and see what the estimated time is.

Octobros sounds good to me.

Even without the last name problem I saw some couples not being able to get it because they were married and the status of k1 were no longer valid.
For me as I'm going to change (there's no way anyone can write my name correct in US.... it already means seafood in Japanese and went through this ridicule for a good 10 years... can't wait to change 😂😂😂) so I'll just get my SSN as soon as I can! Now if only I can get that approval first...
Good luck! I hope you get your NoA 2 soon!

Most security offices won't give you because your visa status won't be k1 anymore, as you will be married.
and last name won't match the visa.
this is a big problem that happens (and apparently thought of before. However many people who tried that way ended up having to wait till ead because of it so it's up to the person to try their chances with it.
Yeah. It would be difficult for those taking the immigrating partner who takes the other's last name. I'll be taking my fiancee's so its not that big of a deal for us. The last name would match.

Could (and not exactly should but better do! )
otherwise will have to wait till EAD
That's a tad long. It'll help with the evidence for the AOS. So I'll see about getting it started when he gets over here. As a side note, its free to apply for!

Try googling "AOS step by step k1 visa journey" first and go through it. After that ask me in detail. I'm certain unless there is a problem with your case, these can be done without a lawyer.
Most simply the steps after k1
1) enter US
2) get SSN
3) get married and obtain certificate
4) apply for AOS and ead/AP
Long time lurker here. I didn't know that my fiance could get an SSN number two weeks after. That is awesome news. Thanks!
