Did you get approved yet?? I haven't been on here much lately but hoping you all are on your way to the next stage @BryceAndRebeca @Gem&Corey @ColdSpag&Pizza (any word after email? )@BandG (received or responded to your rfe or left for your trip? ?)@Mrsminchinnn

I am sorry I was away... I went to visit my mother and responded to their RFE right after I came back. They have received my response July 11. Now I am waiting again...

  2. Today, at day 238, after my Senator asked for expedited processing over a week ago, I have just gotten a text that they updated my case and they SENT ME AND RFE!!!! I sent in a huge packet with so much proof!!!! I have no  idea what can be missing!!! I am crying my eyes out! And I have to leave to Europe in a couple of days because my mother was diagnosed with brain cancer ( the third kind of cancer in 4 years) and I want to be by her side to support her. So now I won’t have time to respond to this RFE quickly because I won’t be in the country for a couple of weeks. So this is going to add way more than an month for my 8 months of current waiting. I don’t know what to say. When we started this process last year in October, we thought that his POE will be middle of June. Now we are looking at what ?September, October!? I am devastated.

Keep your fingers crossed and pray (if you believe in prayers) that you will not get RFE! I was terrified that I would and God knows I would've been upset... I think you should try to wait the 30 days and then go from there. I really don't think it takes very long to approve a case once an adjudicator begins working on it so NOA2 within the 30 days is still possible

Thank you! Yes, I am terrified to get an RFE. I can't even... and RFE could add another month of waiting to my current almost 8 months ... but there is nothing else to do at this point just wait.

Are there other October filers waiting to be approved?? The forum seems to be pretty quiet now...

    Yes, NOA1 10/17

My senator contacted USCIS on June 4th.

USCIS replied on June 6th that they are expediting our case and I should receive a NOA2 by mail within 30 days.

Last time I checked, on June 7th, my case was not assigned to an officer yet. I don't know what is the hold up now.

And I can still receive a RFE...

hi i noticed that the inquiry date now is october 18.has anyone tried calling uscis when they exceeded their case inquiry date? and got approved few days after the day they call uscis?

were uscis call center nicer on answering if your date is already out of case inquiry date? or they will say the same speil?

I have just did that. I talked to a Tier 2 officer. And no, they were not nice. The officer said that my received date exceeded the case inquiry date with 1 day only so I should be more patient. She said that although 10/18 is shown on the website,  they are working on 10/17 cases now. I asked if my case was ever looked at or assigned to an officer and the answer was no. She suggested to wait 2 more weeks before I call for an inquiry again!

I am calling my senator tomorrow.

Last night we did some analysis in the November thread based on available case data from Q1 2018, and we think they're running about a 30% "Silent NOA2 Approval" rate.  I was also guessing that about 50% get RFEs

Given 1172 known October approvals in the scans should be about "70%" of all October approvals, then we can guess there are about another 500 cases that were approved silently, out of the 1670 "virgins" left, plus perhaps there are some silent RFEs in that group as well... I'd guess October virgins is really somewhere under 1200, and possibly only 950 if we assume a 50% silent RFE ratio to the silent approvals as well.

Someone else stated the Case Inquiry date is based on a 93% completion rate, and the date is now October 17th.

We also are estimating they are completing (approving/denying) somewhere between 160 and 230 cases a day across all months, not including sending out RFEs.  I'm going to guess that for those of you still waiting, there's a very high likely of them wrapping up the month (apart from the 7% problem cases) in the next 3 weeks.

Hang in there, I know some of you guys have waited longer than you should have to! Stay positive, the wait is almost over! Any day now!

I love this and thank you for sharing it with us. But I have to add, that the Case Inquiry date is automatically updating at 8pm (my US EASTERN time zone) every day. Even on weekends, even days when they did not receive cases. I was watching like a hawk this weekend because I am 10/17. The Case Inquiry date went to 10/14 and 10/15 on Sat and Sun. So I don’t believe that they actually calculate it based the 93% completion rate. They just pushed the date back a couple of weeks from what they are actually working on.

    Assumptions guys. That doesn’t happen!

believe me many many many people who applied for expedite already got approvals! I even know an august filer who applied for expedite I think 4 times and rejected and now have the visa!

nothing goes down to another pile!

180 days under current situation is not even considered outside of normal yet.

Thanks @Naes I was hoping that it was  just an assumption but it’s going to be 190 days for me and my fiancé tomorrow and we are losing it.

I’m so frustrated with USCIS. So I called uscis and talked with a Tier 2 representative and he said I would receive a decision within a week. He put in the notes that he requested for it to be reviewed! He stated that our expedite request that we sent in January wasn’t approved (which they never told us) and they probably just threw it back in the January pile instead of October pile because it has been over 180 days and we should have heard something by now  😣

I have a very similar situation (10/17 or 10/19 NOA1 and rejected expedite request  in Jan/Feb). Did the Tier 2 officer say that your case was threw in the January pile instead back to October? Or you assume it? You scared me.
