  1. Hey, did you check ceac case status? we got a specific email with the subject “Notice regarding your Immigrant Visa Case becoming Documentarily Qualified“ and a message on the portal along with it we didn’t get an RFE, but I’ve seen on this forum that you get a message telling you what they are requesting from you - so no message doesn’t sound like RFE to me
  2. Unfortunately not…. And yes for Frankfurt as well… I contacted the Frankfurt consulate today and they responded saying they can’t do/see anything while the case is at NVC, which I guess is normal since NVC schedules the interview. i hope you receive DQ soon and am glad that your senator was able to help at least with this part!
  3. Oh no! That sucks! We did not email anything to NVC, only uploaded on the ceac portal on 7/24, and got DQ 9/22 (but unfortunately still haven’t gotten an Interview letter). sorry that’s not helpful for you, but I wonder why different people have to do different things. Did you file I-130 on paper? We filed online, maybe that’s why? wishing you a speedy approval!
  4. Well, October is almost over and we still haven’t heard anything, since our DQ on 9/22/22. I contacted the Frankfurt embassy today asking if they had even received our case yet and they responded within an hour saying they can’t do/see anything while the case is still at NVC. so I guess there’s nothing left to do but WAIT….
  5. Congrats! we were DQ’d one day before you and haven’t gotten our interview invitation for Frankfurt yet, We are hoping to hear any day now… But that made me think: do you guys think interview letters are maybe only sent out every week or every other week? Because it wouldn’t really make sense for the consulate to send NVC new time slots for interviews every day, right? anyway, we had scheduled our medical for Oct 27, sounds like we need to cancel that since the Frankfurt Dr requires the interview letter to do the appointment
  6. Yeah that all sounds good! we also wrote a sentence saying it was always our intention to move back and my wife only moved to Germany so we wouldn’t have to wait apart during the visa process, as sort of the cover letter to the rest of the evidence i would include everything you have, also contacting colleges. i figured the more the merrier
  7. Hey, my wife lives in Germany with me, so we also had to add proof of domicile. We uploaded the following: - proof of owning a house in the US - upkept US bank account - statements of US credit cards - upkept US life insurance - upkept US retirement account - upkept US drivers license - US voting record you could also add things like job offer in the US enrolling a child in US school renting an apartment in the US basically anything that shows your ties to the US
  8. Hey everyone, we are hoping to receive IL this month, too! we were DQed on 9/22 and will interview in Frankfurt, Germany. hope we will all hear from nvc soon!!
  9. I’m happy for you that you finally got it after having waited so long! I didn’t know you could even ask for a sooner appointment, hope it works!
  10. Wow, that’s a long time to wait. I thought it would be quicker to get an interview in Frankfurt. i appreciate you taking the time to respond to me thanks! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you, too!
  11. Hey @glenn0 , I was wondering if you have received your interview appointment yet? We just got DQed yesterday, and I don’t know if I should go ahead and get a medical appointment yet or not. how did it work out for you?
  12. We got DQed from NVC today! 🥳 No RFEs along the way, and now we are hoping to get an interview soon. 😊
  13. We just got our DQ email two hours ago!!! We are so happy! We had submitted everything on July 24, no RFEs :) we did get the expected notice of possibly needing a co sponsor, because we are using assets only to sponsor, as my US wife lives with me in Germany currently. wishing everyone luck who are still waiting to hear from NVC!
  14. I don’t know the answer, but I’m interested in the answer as well hope someone knows
  15. Hi everyone, Thanks for creating this thread! We submitted everything on July 24, 2022! wishing everyone good luck!!
  16. We actually filed the outside of processing request (accidentally) incorrectly, but USCIS didn’t seem to care. We put i-130, Texas Service Center and Permanent Resident filing for a spouse, although my wife is a US Citizen. It was really an error on my part when the design of the processing times website had changed, I didn’t read the choices correctly. I’m glad it didn’t backfire, they accepted the outside of processing times request even although the category was wrong and at least acknowledged the long processing times.
  17. Hey! Our I-130 took 14 months to get approved. We filed on March 27, 2021, actively reviewed on August 27, 2021 and then nothing. The chat representative had told us twice the application got moved to Texas on the first day and had been there ever since. We filed the out of processing times request a few weeks ago and last week got the response that they acknowledge our case was outside of normal processing times and apologized for the inconvenience. Then finally today we got the email saying there has been an action on the case and checking online it said we got APPROVED by the Texas service center on May 26!!! Finally! I am crossing my fingers for you, that your application will get approved soon too! 🤞
