Wait you sent it to NBC directly and not Chicago lockbox?
My mistake....I sent it to the Chicago lockbox.

According to the USPS, the NBC received our application on 7-5-18. So far, we have not received our NOA and the check has not cleared my bank...

Does anyone knows this:
We have got an email from nvc that our case been sent to consulate, but with strange text.
The US Embassy/Consulate General in Warsaw, POL approved your request for expedited processing of your immigrant visa application. The NVC sent your immigrant visa application to the US Embassy/Consulate General in Warsaw, POL for their action.
We didnt expedite anything.. is it everyone gets message like this?
I received the same email today...I am pretty sure it's just standard verbiage. Since mine is sent electronically, I'm not sure how they could expedite it...faster internet...bigger wires? This is the first time since my NOA2 that I have received any notification from anyone.

Sorry guys but I’m new here and I’m sure this question has been asked and answered somewhere but how long does it usually take from the time you get your NVC number till the time your status says “ready”?
From what I can tell, it depends on whether your file is electronic or old school paper. It would help if you complete your profile so people here have more information to try and assist you. Good luck.

I just called the NVC and spoke to a very pleasant lady who informed me that they received our documents from USCIS yesterday and that they are currently processing our file. Yay!!!!!! Does anyone know how long it takes for the NVC to process and send to the Montreal Consulate? Approximately? Do wait times depend on which NVC is working on the file? Ours was sent to NVC New Hampshire
I believe Portsmouth New Hampshire is the only location. Congratulations!

I don't think my sarcasm comes through very well here...I don't believe there is any way it will take that long to get the information I need...it's just the company line. Gilbert should hope it won't take that long or maybe we will get close as I plan on calling every evening.

Well, I just made my first call to NVC...spoke to a young man named Gilbert. I don't think Gilbert had a good day...he advised that it could take NVC up to 8 weeks to receive my paperwork and then another 6 weeks to generate a file number. I thanked him and thought to myself that I hope someone else answers tomorrow because I don't think Gilbert and I are ever going to be close.
I did find it interesting that while Gilbert was checking my case, he noted that the last entry was when they received my case back in October. Do you think I should have given him the new website address so he could check there....lol

Can someone tell asap me the cheapest and best way to send mail from the US abroad ? My fiancé wants to send me everything I need for the embassy interview. I live in Germany! THANK YOU ALL
btw I had sweet Lucy on the phone today @Swissmiss82 😝 Case hasn't been received yet tho 😕
If I am mistaken, I hope someone here will correct me, but my understanding is that the only documents that you might need the originals for would be the Letter of Intent to Marry and the I-134 because they need original (wet) signatures. I believe everything else can be emailed. I hope so, I have the same NOA2 date that you have and I just mailed everything to Ukraine on Friday via USPS with an eta of 7-10 days. None of this will be needed until the interview and our docs have not even reached NVC yet. I am planning on attending the interview, but in case there is an unforeseen problem, I want her to have everything needed. I will email her the remaining docs. Like I said, I welcome corrections if I am wrong.

i wish they contacted my petitioner instead...now I had to somehow reach them right after I get my case number to update my home address..
Naes...it is SOOOO good to see you here. You have done so much for everyone on here and have been so patient as it seem to take so long to receive your own NOA2. I wish you all the joy and happiness in your future and thank you for calming so many nervous people and helping us with great information. We appreciate you.

Hmmmm that's interesting - why would the petitioner get the package 3? Isn't the beneficiary the one who has to get everything together for the embassy ? 😅
That is what I thought, too. It seemed to me that the I-129F was primarily completed by the Petitioner and the DS-160 and other documents in Package 3 was for the beneficiary.

Hello, who typically receive the email for package 3? Is it the petitioner or the beneficiary?
While I am still waiting for my NVC notice, I believe the package 3 will go to the beneficiary as it is their application at this point. In my case, the Embassy puts everything on line. It is mainly a list of what the beneficiary has to do. I would check the embassy website for your country.

Kat123, I stand corrected. I actually found the information on the first page where you sign in to start the DS-160 online. It says, "Other people can assist you with your visa application. Note that under U.S. law (22 C.F.R. 41.103) you must electronically sign and submit your own application unless you qualify for an exemption. Even if someone else helped you complete the application, you (the applicant) must click the “Sign Application” button, or your application may not be accepted."
So, it would seem all the beneficiary has to do is click "Submit". I have already prepared the document, so all I have to do is save it and then have my fiance sign in with the password I have created...then, she can go through each page and verify with information with me on a video chat and click the submit button when she is finished. The way I read it, that would satisfy their requirements. What do you think?

Photos should have been taken within the last 6 months.
-
Yes, passport style photo...5 cm x 5 cm. Check your specific instructions...we have to get 6 photos, 2 for application signed in English on the back and 4 for the physical. I'm sure each country is different.

I saw it somewhere on the web,i saved on my computer, ill check it out when i come home
Please let me know...I don't want to make a mistake this late in the game. I've already filled it out online and saved it...just waiting on the digital photo from my fiance. I know I saw on the I-129 where it asked if someone filled out the document for you, I may simply have forgotten it on the DS-160.

I know that is a question when you filling it out asking who is writnig petitioner or beneficiary,if i do it from US should i put petitioner,im asking because i just want to be sure
I just went over the entire document again today and I have not seen where it is a question as to who filled it out. Maybe I am missing something...can you tell me where you saw the question so I can check again. Also, the DS-160 is signed electronically, not physically. Please, if I am mistaken, someone please correct me...I am here to learn as well.

The questions are all about the beneficiary so maybe you could try fill it out together while on a video call or something like that.
I copied all the questions into Word and then translated it for my fiance. I sent the document to her to verify the information she gave me on Viber and then I entered everything into the DS-160 online for her. When we get ready to file it, I will go over the questions and answers on Viber with her and then file it from here. It was just easier to put them in writing so we could have time to get everything correct. Hope that helps.

It is so nice to be joining this thread. I haven't posted much on the October filer's thread, but have spent many hours keeping up with everybody. Now, my question is...what do I do with my evenings since I won't be sitting at the computer searching for the latest approvals?

I just got off the phone with them....they received my AOS packet on July 5th and just sent the NOA out yesterday. They were able to verify they received everything over the phone.
