    Fingers crossed!

We'll keep each other updated on the result. Even if only one of us passed, the rest can seek legal help to appeal.

Perfect!!! I am excited you are on board too!!!

Let's cross our fingers and say our prayers so that everyone of us with our pending I-130 get filed properly and approved as soon as they can approve our cases.

also, you should want to meet him again anyways. i mean, who wants to marry someone they havent seen in 2 years? IMO that sounds pretty crazy!
he needs to come visit you. no way around it and no waiver will ever get approved. if he can not come and visit you, you wont get a visa.

USCIS will allow to use Dates for Filing for Adjustment of Status for March 2018.

Ok, so we are in the same boat basically. The i-485 instructions state that you are allowed to file before i-130 is approved if a visa is immediately available. But there is not a definition for that. Let's keep each other updated!

Just got back from the interview after driving a total of 7 hours through insane Chicago traffic.

We got approved! The officer said I have a great amount of evidence and he said we're definitely approved. He was a very nice officer, who made jokes and was very cool. However, DO NOT try and hide anything from these immigration officers because they're incredibly good at their job and they will ask you everything you hope they don't, so just be honest. Luckily we had already prepared our answers to those questions!

We didn't want him to ask us about who attended our wedding, if our parents know about our marriage and if we sleep in the same bed, but ALL of those topics came up. We were just honest and explained the situation and he was cool with it. I felt like the interview didn't go too well, but apparently the officer thought it went great, so we were approved!

Super happy! He said I could apply for the 10 year card in 2 years and he said id most likely be applying for naturalisation before my 10 year card arrives because there's a HUGE backlog on the 10 year cards right now of about 10 months after applying.

Good luck to everyone else who still has their interview, just remember to be completely honest and you will be fine

Hi! PD Dec 19, 2016, almost neighbors, i130 still pending, and considering concurrent filing too.

For exactly what you are asking, no. She has to wait for her AP to be approved for her to travel and her application not to be considered as 'abandoned'. If there is an emergency, she can get an infopass appointment and get an expedited AP filed and issued in a matter of days, but only for emergencies.

Now, to file for adjustment of status you have to wait until March, and depends if USCIS approves the use of chart b (I think they will, but you still have to wait, link: https://www.uscis.gov/visabulletininfo )

Now, about the concurrent filing, it is allowed by Uscis on several conditions, being the third:
"When permitted by USCIS (as described above in “Acceptance of Adjustment Status Applications”), your priority date is earlier than the cut-off date listed in the “Dates for Filing Applications” chart for your preference category and country of chargeability."

So, technically, you can file i485 and combocards, but have to wait for AP, and even approved AP, I would suggest to avoid traveling unless it is an emergency, because reentry is not guaranteed, and only as "paroled", Idk what that means exactly.

thepanda reacted to Michael2017 in Potentially bad news for Visa Bulletin Movement
I had a couple of hours free this weekend and started to read USCIS statistics.
While I could not find statistics that show I-130 petitions by exact category, the stats show data for Immediate Relatives and Other Relatives for whom I-130s have been filed.
Guessing that the distribution of petition remains approx. the same over the past year. I had to find out that in 2016, about 18% more petitions had been filed compared
to 2015 (or 2014). The VB was stable for F2A in 2016 compared to 2015, so where petitions. Chances are that e.g. F2A visas will slow down by about 20%, meaning,
I predict a fiscal year movement of only 8.5-9 months for the full year. It seems that the election year caused a large spark in petitions.

    The numbers are as follows

    2016 I130s
    Immediate relative 632k
    Total 933

    2015 I130s
    IR 541k
    TT 785k

    2014 I130s
    IR 522
    TT 770k

Hi Karen22M. 1st of all, congratulations! My gf and I just got married last March 16(she's also a permanent resident). While she was here, we prepared the Forms I-130 and I-130A . She returned to US on Apr 1 and filed the petition on Apr 6. She received the Notice of Action (Form I-797C) on April 21, 2017. I now have my priority date but still waiting for NOA2 or Notice of Action again for the Approval but as of now it takes more or less 1 year. And around 2 years for F2A applicants from the Philippines for their pd to become current base on the current Visa bulletin.  But this is not always the case. It could move forward quicky or it may retrogress.

When you got hold of your NOA1 you can check your priority date on the website below for your pd to become current. It is usually updated every 10th of the month.  Visa bulletin for Oct 2017 priority date for F2A (Philippines) is 22Oct2015.

7 hrs I sent an email to CSC a week ago about the approval of 2016 and 2017 filers. So they said: "According to our records, your petition is within our current processing time for pending applications in your I-130 category. Cases we received prior to September 29, 2016, are presently undergoing review."

Finally, a forum that gives me hope. It seems like they are further than August 23rd if cases from September 2016 have been approved. It moves slow but it is moving. I also can't believe that Visa Bulletin moved forward.

If anyone got a NOA2, please let us know.
