  1. Hi all,

My husband and I got married within our 90 day window for his k1 visa. Unfortunately with an unexpected move and loss of a job and then covid and nother loss of a job, we were unable to file due to not having the financial backing to say I could support him and our son.

Our AOS is in route to the lockbox and should arrive on Tuesday, however we are hoping to be able to travel within the united states after receiving the i-797. He has not worked, we have not travelled and I am hoping that his overstay is not going to be a huge deal, however I do know that he is way out of status. Has this happened to anyone else? I am curious to see what the outcome was? We have been together for 6 years and have a 5 year old together that was born in the US.

I have all the proof needed to show that I have not been able to prove my finances to be above the required amount over the last 2.5 years. We now have a cosponsor since I didn't make enough in 2020 and 2021, our cosponsor is my father who qualifies x100 but I am nervous about what will happen if anything at all.

We would also like to see if we can expedite his EAD, not sure if that's even possible.

    THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Well we sent it on a Monday.  They received it on the Tuesday and then the visa went to issued on the Wednesday and we got the visa in hand that Friday.

Im sorry I dont know myself as i havent got to the interview yet, I just wanted to ask if you dont mind, does your fiance have his middle name in his passport? Just asking cos my middle names not on mine either cos its not on my passport so now im a bit worried...

If it's not on the passport then that is okay.  The passport just has to match the police cert

  5. Hey there,

    We need some info quick!

We just had our interview and we didn't get approved yet. The Garda didn't put my fiance's middle name on his cert.  They said we needed to get  a new one and then mail the new on and his passport back.  We plan to do that either today or Monday.  How long does it take for them to issue a visa after that is completed?

    Any info is appreciated.

  6. Hi everyone!

Is there anyone that has had an interview at the Dublin embassy lately?  We sent our notice of readiness in on Wednesday and got 2 emails back but no interview date yet. What's a rough estimate of when we will receive our interview dat and/or interview?  I'm hoping to have the interview dine by the end of the month.  I will be out in Ireland with my fiance until July 18th but will extend if I need to.

Any and all help is appreciated.

  7. Hi everybody

I am looking for a bit of insight from aome of you knowledgeable filers.

I was just offered a new position at another company with much higher pay (I already made the income requirements before). My question is we got our NOA2 on March 23rd,  I will be starting the new job in about 2 weeks. Will I need to get a co sponsor or will I be okay with my salary documentation from my company?

    Thank you in advance.

  8. I am so happy for all of you. Today had so much movement. I am definitely a bit jealous but so happy that everyone is finally going to the next phase!!  I made the new account and i had nothing. Ughh. Hopefully on Monday!

    Original noa1 received Sep 25th

    Updated noa1 Sep 27th

    Noa2 in the unknown

Good luck everyone with NVC and your interviews.

  9. I'm hoping they start touching the 25th this week. I'm so happy for everyone getting aporoved and I'm rooting for the rest of us.

I do have a strange question though. Do you think the embassy would require a DNA test for our son? My fiances name is on the birth certificate. I absolutely dont mind doing one but am wondering since it can take awhile if we should just do one to cover all bases.... Anyone have experience with this?

    Yes it's ok :)

copies are good to have but not a requirement.

just gather new evidence especially as it will be shown as the proof of ongoing relationship. And add whatever pictures you want to (old and new)

letter of intent can be written (this time to the embassy) and signed with a recent date. :) Actually it's better that's it's new.

That's great to hear because I was flipping out. You're the best @Naes 😊😊😊

  11. Hi there

I am possibly looking into switching jobs as the company i work for is trying to change my hours now and possibly move me back to the position i was in before i was promoted because they are short staffed. Our noa2 is expected to be done. This month. What happens if i change my job shortly after noa2? Im trying to hold out until my fiance can arrive in the US because i dont want to mess anything up. Anyone have any info on this?! Please help!
