  1. Hi Everyone, apologies for not posting for a while...I have been lurking though 😂

I'm currently in the U.S. with Matt, we went to Vegas for a vacation first and border control just asked how long I planned staying and then let me through.  Took a domestic flight to Atlanta and we are together until the 5th Jan  Yay

Anyway ...I just popped on to wish you and your loved ones a very Happy Christmas / Holidays

Next year we will all be living our happily ever afters x

When do you let your employer know about the process?

Is there anyone else who is moving with kids?

My employer knows ....most of my co workers start their calls to me with "any news yet"

I'm so rubbish at keeping secrets 🙊

I  can imagine some employers would be less so. If you have concerns then check your employment contract and give them the notice required.

Amen.  When I started this journey I had already decided that I wasn't going to be the richest man in the cemetery.  I am putting both of my kids through college and I will gladly do the same for Aira and AJ.  There are more important things in life than money.  I am visiting in December and If I have to go back in January and bring them all home I will be poorer in finances but so much richer in life.

You've made me tear up John what a wonderful man you are. I truly hope you, Rose and all your children have your happily ever after very soon.

I am going to visit them in early December.  They have all been great.  There is stress but when we all talk on FaceTime it is all fun and laughter.  We all text everyday.  I call to wake them up for school (3:15 PM for me, 5:15 AM for them) and they call to wake me up for work (7:50 PM for them and 5:50 AM for me).  I dont know what I would do if I didn't see their faces first thing in the morning and last thing at night.  I know we are getting close but the wait is killing me.   I will be with them in 25 days so I am very content and happy.

Aww Thank goodness for FT it's certainly a great help we've even played battleships together lol. Such good news to hear you are seeing them soon. I fly out in 23 days and hopefully stay until Jan 5th. So for us having an in between countdown hopefully helps with waiting for the long game.

Still I can't wait until the day we don't have to say goodbye anymore ...I keep walking through airport security to go back to the UK looking like an extra band member of Kiss! ...waterproof mascara...ha

I really hope it goes quicker for you than that but who knows?  When I filed I was expecting an early September NOA2.  Now I am hoping for a very late November or early December NOA2.  There is a part of me that believes January is possible due to the holidays.  It is a small part but it hurts every time I think of it.  I'm on day 161 today and I don't feel any closer to NOA2 than you do!  Expecting Christmas together and now realizing that Valentine's Day is a long shot really hurts.

My heart goes out to you, looking at your family photo you can see the love there.

At times it just doesn't seem fair that there is such a long wait. I refuse to put the tv on  Valentines week we've tried face time dinner for two ..but the novelty is wearing real thin now.  I wish we could make a deposit payment so we could be together while the visa process went ahead 😞

my last trip through Charlotte, I had a broken lock. LOL. I never had it before.. I am assuming because I had 1 Kilo glutamate with me. well I am Asian and we love  to put some glutamate in our food xD

James said maybe t hat was the reason they opened my luggage as glutamate looks like meth xD

James only shook his head when I took out big bag of glutamate that enough for 7 years off my luggage :D:D:D

    Hi Christy & J

I laughed at your post because I love two things from the UK ...HP sauce and PGTips tea

Can't tell you how happy I was when we found a store with both ....Matt now has a pantry full of the stuff 😂

My worst experience has been Houston. I had to wait for three hours for a secundary screening. After that i decided to apply for a B2 visa instead of the ESTA. After that i havent had bad experiences anymore at POE's. I entered New Orleans and Atlanta.

    Thanks R1mario,

    3 hours!!!!🙈🙈🙈🙈wow that's awful.

Well I guess we will see how it goes with Vegas, I wish I could just say ....have you met my Mum ...there's no way I would get married without her ...my life wouldn't be worth living 😨🙈😂

From everything I have been told on here and read on free legal advice websites you are perfectly able to travel while the K1 in pending but it's really up to the POE officer whether he/she plans to return. I feel like if you've never over stayed your visits, have return tickets, and you'll have a case number to show you should be fine. Me and my fiance have been together for three years and he has made several trips within that over here. They always ask him why he's here, they always rifle through his luggage and break his locks but never have denied him entry. He's already planning a trip in January to stay for a few weeks during it pending. He's just going to carry the copy of our petition just in case they ask to see it.

Atlanta in our opinion is no where near as bad as some because he does a lot of lay overs to save money. He's done Orlanda, New York, New Jersey, Boston, and Atlanta. New York is by far the worst. Good luck to you!

Thank you, Brittani, I haven't had locks broken yet ...but goodness me I won't be going anywhere near N.Y after your advice, would dissolve into a complete mess with the stress of it all 🙈

Good luck to you guys too x

  9. Just dropping in to say hello to everyone I have been about but mainly lurking in the background.

So glad to see we've made it to November 🙌and most of the NOA1's are in the bag whoop whoop

Oooh and while I'm here, quick question if I may

I'm meeting Matt in Vegas in December as he has a work event.

Has anyone flown into Vegas as a fiancee? Are the border people as scary as Atlanta ...it reduces me to a shaking wreck and i end up sounding like Elmer Fudd🙈

I have flights booked to go back to Atlanta after a week then a flight back to the UK the first week in Jan and also a train ticket from the airport to my home city so with all the tickets and a letter giving permission for the holiday from my employer I'm hoping it will be enough evidence.

Hi!! I'm an October filer too. It's good to know we're not alone is this long journey...

After reading in different threads, I learned that there are a couple of interesting and useful tools, which are the apps to track the case (that you all probably know about already) and the USPS Informed Delivery service, very useful especially for PO Box owners. I was wondering if any of you know about any other interesting tool I might have missed that can help to get more information about what's going on about the process, like how many cases they process a day, how many cases there are left for each month, etc.

    Thank you!

Welcome Daniel, I can't help with other interesting tools I'm afraid. Just want to welcome you and  wish you Good luck on your visa journey

Hey new fliers, congrats! I'm a May flier 154 days waiting for my NOA2 so its nice to come onto the October thread to see so much positivity and optimism. You guys can download the case tracker app on iphone & android to get a better idea where USCIS is with cases with similar NOA1 dates. Stay strong during the waiting period and keep yourself occupied. I would suggest your beneficiary getting documents they will need for medical & interview. In Jamaica you need 2 copies of birth certificate, passport, 6 passport size pictures, immunization record and police certificate. Good luck everyone and let's all pray the uscis adjudicators move with haste and get those approvals going out.

Thank you, Good Luck to you too, hope you see your NOA2 soon x

I think this whole process is going to test my nerves!

Oh my, now im worried... we didnt reference & sign all our support evidence (we stuck stickies on bank statements showing i withdrew money in his town at an ATM) but for passport stamps, boarding passes etc. we didnt make references, i hope this doesnt cause us a set back :(

    (((Hugs Meisha)))

...we didn't reference and sign everything either, I think the evidence you have provided shows you guys have met and the fact you have a few shows you have a relationship

Not sure if it's highly thought of on this site (apologizes if not) but we got a book from Nolo it's a bit out of date but it explained the process really well.

If you buy online in a digital format you can download on a couple of devices and spend your evenings like we do ...face time with the nolo book in hand😂. Ahhh the romance!

Thank you!! same goes for you, good luck :D

That would be a real small world haha! I can't wait for that part of the process, it will mean light is at the end of the tunnel, abit of a wait now i guess

Yep ...I am getting a little worried as our I -129F registered as delivered on the 5th ...but they haven't banked the cheque yet so keeping our fingers and toes crossed that we haven't messed it up already!

Anyways great to have you here🙌
