Finally got to schedule my interview in Montreal Canada today.
 
Case was READY on Dec 31 so I sent my packet 3. Got an email back saying at this time we are reviewing your case and don't need you to send it just yet. On Jan 9, I seen my case last updated date update on the CEAC website (so figured they were working on my case) so i sent packet 2 again lol. They also worked on my case yesterday and today i seen the case last updated dates change. Finally recieved the packet 4 today with my interview link. For my fellow Canadians, all interviews are held on Wednesdays only. And there were available dates for Jan 31, and every Wednesday in Febuary and March. So your time will come guys.. All the best. lots of waiting but it'll come.

Just got off the phone with Tier 2 who informed me my case is still pending and that it makes no sense to submit another inquiry at this time and I should wait at least 5 weeks before calling and submitting another request. He said that the petition is reviewed by different officers who conduct the variety of background checks and he could tell me that my case has been touched but could not tell me where it currently stands in the review process. 
 
So at this point I have submitted an inquiry to the Ombudsman which takes 45 days for response which is basically 5 weeks. I'm really at my wits end and now have to share this disappointing news with my fiance when he gets home from work. 
 
I'm still left to sit here with no answers, still feeling uncertain and not knowing what's going on and what to do. 
 
Just want to say that I'm happy for everyone here that has further movement in their cases and a day closer to your love one. I'm gonna be mute for awhile because with everyone having so much excitement going on with the next steps of their cases, my case is stuck and now I'm starting to think this process was the wrong thing to do.
 
 

What’s crazy is some May Filer have been at NVC 2 months, some May Filers have made interview dates, some have even been approved and did the POE already and you mean to tell me, we still at USCIS awaiting security checks. @Trinab80 this is nonsense and a total failure on USCIS in handling our cases. I researched even if there is an issue most are resolved in less than 6 months. This is way too long and inexcusable. I’m trying to hold my composure because we at their mercy but I borderline ready to go OFF on Customer Service, Tier 2, everyone. Smh 🤦‍♀️

Well I just checked to see the status of my inquiry on USCIS site and it just got updated with today's date saying it has been assigned to an officer for response AGAIN (it said that on 12/27). I guess that means I'll be getting an email shortly and something tells me that it's gonna say the same BS that @Maria1989 just said.
 
I don't see this bringing me any closer to a NOA2 or RFE. So I guess I'll be contacting the Ombudsmen next after I get this response!!

So today marks 6 weeks since approval... I'll call and email them... Lets hope for the best...

Thank you so much im so relieved  someone got back to me!  my case says in transit and i got an email from the NVC saying they sent it and will contact me soon with information! Im shaking with happiness 💕💕💕👏

Well I call the NVC Friday after work and FINALLY, we got our case number which leads me to believe they had the case for a while and just assigned it the number that day. I called earlier in the week and they stated they did not have the case. My understanding is it takes a few days to get one's number following the NVC receiving the case. Hopefully, I can get by dear here within a month. I think we were at 56 or 59 days from NOA2 to NVC case number...hang in there folks, and yes, I have updated the spreadsheet. Good luck guys...keep the prayers or tears or whatever works for you comin', your time will come...this waiting is so hard though and I will never forget the inefficiency of this process funded by our tax dollars.

Yeah, I decided to have her take a pic when she wakes up and send to me so I can edit it.  I'll print them tomorrow.  The other photos I had were a lot smaller (like 1.5" x 1.75").  Surprised they didn't just say wrong size and not that I didn't submit them (of course so small likely missed seeing them ).  Just still a long road ahead while they relook at it and then NVC then everything else.
 
Yeah, I've come to care for everyone in here too!  Need like one big May Filers gathering with everyone there to celebrate, lol!  Be just crazy all the stories we'd all have about waiting and the roller coaster and how our fiancée's feel and everything.  Just hoping we all finish this month with NOA2s, it's been too long and a lot of us would be near the K3 route by this point.

I came back to the thread to see if you were going to just re-submit the same size photos or use the correct 2x2 sized photos. If you'd said you were going to re-submit the same ones, I was going to beg you to get the correct-sized 2x2 photos done, haha!
 
Because I'd hate to see you RFE'd again, or, heaven forbid, denied over some passport photos.
 
Yes just get through this next little bit...just grit the teeth and get through it. You guys will make it now!
 
Best of all, you're  nearer to the end than the beginning. All of the May and June filers are!
 
Over the last few months I've come to care for folks here, even if I don't always say anything. This whole thing has been one enormous, shared roller-coaster ride that I'm never going to forget

Yeah, trying to be positive.  Just really didn't expect something so simple after all this wait.  Expected an approval.  Just hope NVC gets fixed soon so it's not 3 months more plus interview and stuff.

Got an RFE for passport style photos!  Are you serious!!!!  I had them each in envelope separate behind the G-135A for each of us!!!  This is some BS!  The envelopes we're stapled to a blank sheet of paper!  All was in two hole punch so nothing would get lost!  They're making stuff up!
 
Can I use same pictures sent first time?

221 days since NOA1.My fiance submitted a inquiry still no answer,he called also,and they said it can take up to 60 days for them to replay on our RFE.As if we didn't waited long enough.The future doesn't look promising with the NVC extended waiting time.Who would have thought that this process can take up to 1 year?This is madness!!!😢😢😢

Hang in there we recieved an email on day 229 from Noa1 saying our petition had been approver.  We rang uscis to check and she said it's not updated on our system but then did abit of digging and said yes I can see the email it has been approved we just haven't updated the system. So we're patiently waiting for our NOA2 to come through via the post. Many people have said they recieved it in the mail and the website still said RFE recieved.  
Oh we got a RFE too btw they recieved it 21 December so it took them around 10 days to approve our case after that.

Day 229 FINALLY GOT OUR APPROVAL Noa2 email just waiting for the hard copy in the post. Now the NVC waiting game however I'm sooo happy
