Hope for interview next month. Following thread
I noticed your case is also Senegal Embassy. What date were you DQ’d?

Yes my mom is under Dakar Senegal jurisdiction. DQ was on July 10th just a couple days before you and still waiting for an interview. Ridiculous. But mind you Dakar is a very busy embassy as they service Guinea Bissau (immigrant), Guinea Conakry (immigrant), The Gambia (all visa atm), Mauritania, Mali plus of course Senegal n it’s residents and previously Sierra Leone and Cameroon but not any more for those two countries for the past couple years. So yes Senegal US embassy is the busiest in Africa along with Ghana and Cairo and one of the busiest embassies for processing in the world.
Thank you for your response. At least now I know it is not only me. I agree Dakar Embassy is very busy. Hopefully we hear something soon Insha Allah.

My husband and I have had our case complete since June 20th for Egypt Embassy. It seems some Embassies take longer than others to schedule interviews. Inshallah we’ll all get interview letters soon. All we can do is pray, wait and prepare for whenever the interview will be. Today is US holiday (Veteran’s Day) so hopefully starting tomorrow interview letters will be received in emails from NVC. 🙏🏼
Hopefully we will hear something soon Insha Allah. The wait is just ridiculous. It took about two weeks for my brothers and sisters like two years ago from CC to IL for Senegal.

I have been following this thread for a while now. My DQ was on July 15th and I am still waiting for an interview. It is for my wife in Senegal IR1. I am not sure what's the hold. IS there anyone with a case for Senegal US embassy in here?

I received my NVC case yesterday. April filler. Case was approved on January and sent to NVC on January 28th. So about 7 weeks. Hang tight...

What do you mean you hope I hear something soon? I already have the approval. That’s what I wrote

Maybe not reset...I heard an RFE can hold you up about 2 weeks. In my case it was about 3. I know how you feel friend. It's coming soon. You will probably get a letter in the mail. Nothing on the either site or the app has been updated for me yet.
Mine will hit 4 weeks tomorrow and I didn’t even receive an update that they received my file

Yeah mine was an RFE where they wanted another one of my passport photos. I think the last one I didn't write my name on the back. Crucial mistake on my part.
I see. I think they reset the clock for mine then. That’s a bummer

Oh I'm sure of the difference friend
Yeah. Yours was a RFE not RFIE, right?

I got the update that it was received on 11/14.
Oh I see. Maybe they reset the clock for me because I received a RFIE instead of RFE. That’s a bummer.

I sent the RFE response 10/22 and they received it 11/14.
Did they send u an update that they received it? I know mine is delivered but no response yet. Almost a month now

Finally got approved. Notice was sent 11/23. Tears of joy. Potomac 4/11
Oh wow congratulations to u. I’m still waiting for a response. I sent my RFE response on November 2nd but still. When did they receive yours?

OH sheesh...so they asked you for your wife's too? They only asked me for mine. See they are inconsistent. Ugh.
They did. One of me and one of hers. On my original application, I included two of me and two of hers. Maybe it’s the fact that I did not write our names on the back of the pictures

I'm going to overnight mine so they get it quickly.
I have to wait for my wife to send hers before transferring to Potomac.

Just got the RFE letter today and despite me sending my passport photo, not my husband's they want another one of me and this time they give specific instructions on what they want. They ask for the Alien Registration Number that I wouldn't have had the first time I sent it. I didn't print my name on the back of the one I sent so maybe that's what the issue was. Ugh. I didn't put it in a glassine or paper envelope either so maybe my photo ended up in one of your guys' files. LOL...gotta laugh at it. Congrats all who got approved and good luck.
We have got the same RFE then.

That sucks that you have to send them again. Good luck to you too my friend and yes we will be fine.
Ikr? It sucks. Thank you and good luck on that RFE
