Mine wasn’t written in English but it’s in Spanish the official lenguage where my wife will be having the interview so that means she doesn’t need an English translation ,so that’s why I didn’t submit a translation to NVC and they accepted ..!!

on ceac website there is still option to upload addition civil documents

if I upload now will it mess up the system or its ok to add original marriage certificate which is in Nepali language the official language of Nepal. or its not necessary now because I have already send that to USCIS when I filled I130

    thanks

Yes you have to upload a copy of your original marriage certificate, otherwise they will reject the document and will delay your case..and I don’t think you have to submit a translation of any document you submit to NVC ,at least I didn’t do it and they accept it..

its says All documents not written in English, or in the official language of the country in which you are applying for a visa, must be accompanied by certified translations.

  3. I uploaded all the civil documents on ceac site on 11/01.

regarding marriage certificate I uploaded only English translation  because where it says upload marriage certificate I can upload only one copy.. do I need to upload original marriage certificate too which is in foreign language?. I sent copy of original marriage certificate plus translation at USCIS stage while filling I 130 so hope they already got my files from USCIS.

or its not necessary  to upload now and we can take it at the interview stage.

  4. Got the NVC case number on 10/26 logged in as soon as I got the case number but all the fees were $0 so called NVC they told me to wait 24hrs for the fees to get generated. called today and they told me they send the email to supervisor and it might take 6 weeks to fix the issue which is CRAZY.

let me know what's the best thing to do or have you ever experienced similar kind of situation.

it takes about 1 month for you to receive the CASE number and takes another 3 weeks to process your AOS documents ( submit and case sent to Embassy). Then, looking at the current trend for Nepal Embassy, it takes you about 1 month to schedule an interview. You're looking anywhere between 2-3 months from Today. I think the earliest you can have your interview is mid December to early January ( if everything goes as expected).

    Sherbahadur Ji

I just received my case number from NVC.

did you mail the IV and AOS packet by mail or everything you were able to upload online. Please let me know.

    Thank you
