  1. Hi everybody! :) I got my case shifted to Dhaka embassy as I moved permanently.. I left Dubai on 21 Jan and did  get my police certificate along with me but that's only valid for 3 months. Will that be okay for NVC?  We just paid both AOS & IV fee and have to fill d260form then sort docs to be sent to NVC for review

I'm just wondering if I also need to get a PCC from Bangladesh for NVC?  I'm a Bangladeshi citizen and only visited Bd earlier for vacations only.. I will certainly take one for my interview in future but I want to know if it's advisable to get one for NVC too??  Please guide me!

  2. Hello Everyone! :) We got our case number from NVC and completed the first step of choosing Agent few days ago. We Chose my Husband as the Agent. This morning when i checked Ceac site I saw the both pay button for IV fee and AOS fee is active now. I'm wondering which one should we pay first? Pay AOS fee OR should I first fill IV Application and pay IV Fee?? Any advice will be highly appreciated!!

Had to wait for almost a year for the approval letter to come :( so now we're just praying we don't make any errors from end and cause any further delay at NVC Stage... Please guide and advise me friends!

Your case is already at NVC so forget USCIS.

Send an email to NVC to change your interview location to embassy in your country mentioning that you moved back to your country. Attach a copy of your passport page and probably the plane ticket or itinerary too for proof. You will get a new case number and then you may process all paperwork.

Hi :) oh so you mean I need to first get the NVC case number changed... That makes a lot of sense...i tried calling NVC and they said they proof that Bangladesh is my country and that I'm a citizen of Bangladesh. Alright so I'll send them required details and also provide my email address for faster notifications. Once I get a new case number maybe then I can proceed with step 1 of choosing an agent

  5. On the other hand  we had also requested USCIS in Dec 2017 to shift my embassy address from Abu Dhabi to Dhaka as I've moved back to Bangladesh permanently and plan to appear for my interview here in Dhaka..  So my question is should we wait untill the embassy Address is changed and then proceed  with form filing, payments and sending documents? And what about my NVC case number and ID... Even that needs to be updated? OR is it alright to go ahead finish the required steps for NVC

  6. Hi everyone. I received the welcome letter in my mail box in late January. Currently my and husband working to get the required documents ready that have to been sent to NVC.  But we're very confused about ONE thing that why does the NVC Welcome letter that was addressed to me tends to suggest that I the beneficiary will have to complete the 6 steps online. So is it this way? Who is supposed to make the online payments? Can the petitioner fill in the details and make payments ? Please advise...just trying to figure out what's best way to approach this stage

  7. Hi Everyone,

I am the beneficiary and My case got approved on 22nd November and got a notification that case was sent to Dept of State on 28 November 2017. I was travelling in Dec so did not contact NVC immediately. Moreover I am moving back to my home country so my husband also filled a form and submitted to NVC in Dec itself requesting to change my consulate from Abu Dhabi to Dhaka. Just yesterday I received NVC Welcome Letter by Post but strangely My Husband did not get any email or mail. NVC has stated all instructions how we should proceed but as per the letter My chosen Location is stated as Abu Dhabi Embassy which means its still not updated or changed to US Embassy of Dhaka. Any advice as what we need to do now?

Maybe it will be easier to fly to the interview to Dubai?

Thanks for your advice! :) I did have that thought in mind but here in UAE Bangladeshi nationals are finding it quite difficult to get visit visas so im not sure if that'll work out for me or not...plus i don't know what NVC has to say on this. I'll call and check with NVC first and then see what to do.

Changing address or Embassy it always take some time if you going to transfer your case to Dhaka then i don’t see your interview date before September  2018.Best option to get useful information to Call NVC and tell them your situation.

i think you can appear in the interview in Abu Dhabi on  UAE visitor Visa but you need to  confirm with NVC.

you're right transferring the case will delay the interview date..anyways ill call and speak to NVC and see what they have to say and if its possible for me to fly back on visit visa to Abu Dhabi for my interview. If it doesnt work out then ill have to try to get transferring process underway asap

    Hi TCY

If your review is completed by NVC then it is not easy to shift your case to Dhaka .If you want transfer your case to Dhaka then  you have to wait for 6 to 9 months and plus you have to pay transfer fee.

you can get your PCC in 2 to 3 days it will be valid for 60 days or 90 days.I am not sure about validity in Dubai but once you submit the PCC to NVC or US Embassy then it will be  good for one year.

Hi. Thank you for your reply!. Nope im still waiting to receive welcome letter from NVC where they'll request me and my hubby (petitioner) to send more documents. We've planning to change my post mail address and of course my Embassy address before NVC receives and completes reviewing our package that we'll have to send upon their request in the upcoming weeks. Do you think this will save me from a longer wait?

my visa will expire in end of December so ive already applied for PCC and mentioned that i need it US Embassy of Dhaka (though my case is yet to be transfered to Dhaka)

  11. Hi All,

I've lived in Dubai all my life but will be shifting soon back to my country Bangladesh with parents so i'll have to change my embassy from Abu Dhabi to Dhaka for scheduling an Interview. My

case has already been sent to NVC and currently i'm looking to obtain police certificate from Dubai and will get one from Bangladesh once i go there.

Can someone guide me about the process of obtaining a PCC in Dubai? how long is it valid?

Just do the LEGAL TRANSLATION from any translation services the legal translater is approved by MOJ ministry of justice they will charge you around 40-80 dhs depends

Hi. I actually intended to get another original in English if possible but when i went to Al Baraha Hospital (part of MOH) they said rules have changed some 2-3 months ago and now onwards they'll only provide legal translations for old BC. So yes as you suggested i did get it translated from a ministry approved translation firm that operates inside the baraha hospital (part of MOH).

I also told them that originally my Interview was supposed to be in Abu Dhabi but now im moving back to my country Bangladesh so my embassy will now change to Dhaka US Embassy so they advised me to get the translated document attested from MOJ and M of Foreign Affairs.

As long as the translation service can attest to being fluent in English that is all that is required.  You do not need  to get it directly from the Ministry of health.  You could even do it yourself if you if you wanted and simply sign a statement of your fluency

Thank you for your reply :) you mentioned about sign statement of fluency....hows that done? Oh i see...just to be safer i might still send it to translation company to get it done in English...so will they voluntarily sign a statement mentioning their fluency in English and that translation is accurate etc etc? or do I have to request them to sign that statement and mention it as it's required for NVC

  14. Hi guys! I'm the beneficiary and My i130 case was sent to department of State on 28 November. Though I'm yet to get that welcome letter from NVC but I'm trying to be proactive and now working on getting the documents ready required at the NVC stage.

I need to get an English translation of original birth certificate which is in Arabic. So may I know if it's okay get translation done from a firm that provides such services in dubai and then attested from ministry or shall I directly get translation done from ministry health itself.

My only concern is NVC checklist and I want advice as to which option is better to be on safer side.

Highly appreciate any advise or tips😊

Yes we filed both I-130 and 129f. And nothing yet. My hubby called USCIS this evening, a lady picked it up. Is that tier 2 or he suppose to still ask for his call to be transfer to tier 2? Bcos nothing from the Lady since, Still the same old story( under processing). I really need to unite with my husband soon. This pain is too much. Tired of crying my eyes out

No that's not tier 2 officer...youll need to request the person to transfer your call to the tier officer...at times they keep you on hold for long time so I guess you guys could try to call them as soon as they are open so that you don't have to be on hold for too long.
