Day 197. Was FaceTiming with my financé just now, decided to check the new USCIS website while on the call, and low and behold, there is was: "We received your case" 😤 I actually read it out loud to my boo, and mentioned I wasn't so sure it was going to happen this week. Fast forward 2 seconds later and a notification flashes on phone next to me, I recognize the USCIS logo immediately and make a face like 😵 The USCIS web page is still open in front of me, but it says Case Received. I'm so confused I have a hard time reading the email, my financé on the phone is completely weirded out, I whip open the Case Tracker app and there it is: case approved! 😍
 

 
Sorry for the dramatic storytelling, but it honestly was such a weird experience! I'm half convinced me checking the website actually triggered the notification email. Otherwise, it's a crazy coincidence. In any case, we're trilled! Did a quick scan around our case no. there's a few more approved and touched already. I got an email, my finance didn't get anything as the petitioner, no text message, no update on the new website.

Got NOA2! Had submitted RFE and got approval via mail before website updated.

Received NOA 2 the notice date was 5/3/2018. Sent it in 10/25. 
 
Posting more for the people who haven't gotten approved yet, hang in there.

Correct, only approved cases are considered. Also, as you said, silent NOA2's aren't included, but as discussed some months ago silent NOA2's happen the same way both in early and late approvals and so their presence wouldn't affect the average significantly.
 
It would be more correct to say "the average of all cases approved within the first 205 days (not 187, sorry, that was a mistake) of being filed is 182 days for October", so it's perfectly normal to have cases above and below that number.
 
This data isn't intended to create more anxiety, it's just merely informative, and so it should be taken just to have an idea of the tendency over the months. Even if a case is above average it's not time to freak out, the most you can say is that it got a bit unluckier than the majority.

Charts to compare July, August, September and October regarding the length of time from Received to Approved (as to 05/06/2018).
 
As a reminder, in the charts below I try to compare what happened within the next 187 days after the last day of July, August, September and October received cases. In order to see them clearer I put them together in pairs.
 
In that time, with a total of 596, 849, 923 and 1038 approved cases respectively:
 
July had a global mean of 195.56 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 5.22 days. August had a global mean of 189.94 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 6.95 days. September had a global mean of 187.57 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 7.68 days. October had a global mean of 182.92 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 7.00 days.  
As I mentioned in some previous post there clearly was a turning point from July to August, and it has kept improving consistently ever since. Notice that they did not only shortened the average number of days, they also approved more cases in the same period of time. Hopefully this tendency will continue! 
 
 

WE GOT APPROVED!!!!! God is so good! Old website sill says case received New website says approved. It must have updated in the middle of the night because I checked before I went to bed and there was no change. I'm about to update my timeline now. I'm still sticking around until everyone gets approved!  Have Faith your approval is on the way!

Omg! We just got the approval letter this morning! 🎉🎊My fiancé just called me and said that he got the letter at the mail saying that we got approved on the 30 of April!!! I’m sooo happy and excited!! We cried so had of happiness! Thanks to all this visa journey family for always supporting each other and cheering us up. @Brigitte84 @Kelly1987 @Naes . October 23rd filer and it was approved!
 
but on 27th April!?
I had no idea for a week because my case status has been the same the whole time "case was received".
But apparently my fiance in the US got an approval letter today saying it was approved on April 27th!?
and my case status still says case was received when the letter says it's approved and already sent to NVC.
 
Does anybody know if some cases get updated super late online or something?
Should I be worreid about it and make a call?
I am so happy but a lititle mad at the same time for not getting any notifications when I checked my case literally everyday for the last few weeks!
 

We got APPROVED!!!  I woke up 20 min ago, and started reading the forum, and I thought I should check the new USCIS website. I couldn’t believe my eyes!
 We sent our case on 26th October and they received it on 30th October. It was approved on 1st November. NOA2 is here, 187 days after NOA1!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Side note, and I saw someone else post something similar.  For those worrying about details, ours was simple.  One single Intent to Marry letter signed by both of us.  Just 2 pages of cut and paste photos (most with no notes) but one of those was a screen shot of my future sister-in-law's FaceBook post saying "welcome to the family" that had a group pic and time/date tag.  I also included a copy of my passport stamp pages, but just that page.  The ID page of the passport was included separately for the citizenship section.  I did not send every page like I've seen some talk about, just those 2 pages.
 
I was a bit nervous about the IMBRA stuff since we met through a dating site.  We put the name, URL, and certified that it wasn't an IMBRA, but didn't include a copy of terms and conditions of the site and all that.  
 
I'm also a PC gaming nerd and play a lot (lot) of CIvilization so one of the quotes is in my head:

I was cooking lunch today and chopping some veggies when I got a text from USCIS and almost cut my little finger off I was so nervous/excited! When I checked WE WERE APPROVED!!! 
 
I just really really really wanted to say THANK YOU to every single person on here! As said before this process is draining and just having this community to gain insight on what to do in different situations as well as have a safe space of people that genuinely understand this journey has been a blessing! 
 
I know that I don’t know you all personally, but I love each and every one of you and will continue praying and sending great vibes to everyone until we are all re-united with our loved ones!!!

I called today and spoke to tier 2 because everyone here said the website was having trouble showing approvals and then he told me we were approved Friday! 
 
NOA 1 : October 25th
NOA 2 : April 27th!! 
 
Just woke up my fiancé and she started crying.
