In this situation to be safe I would suggest for her to file a K1 or CR1 and marry in her country. Adjusting a status on a tourist visa  is very risky

So awesome i got approved quick too.. 5 months....so glad my case went to Potomac

My thing is how did she think it was an engagement certificate? It says on the top in big black letters "certificate of marriage"

no hole punch..use those big black clips

It taking up to 8 weeks for a case number

affidavits are good and better if u get them notarized but there are other ways but adding ur spouse to important docs to show co-mingling are the best

If she will have 2018 then bring it if not no worried cause u sent in 3 years already and the requirment is 1 year

My mom and brother signed affidavits and had them notarized it was a simple letter. As far as the bank accounts try to get a bank account jointly in his country but you wont be able to get a US account together.

nope then they are legally married so filing a B2 wont work because CBP will find out and if u lie then its a ban and it will mess up their chances with their CR1

If the certificate was green and white and long that is Ghana marriage certificate.  If they are married she will file the CR1 on the B2 if he has one CBP wont allow entry and if he apply for one without ties to his country most likely  a denial..seems he tricked ur friend

You will either receive a RFE or a denial. It depends on the adjudicator's discretion. If you are denied you need to pay the 535 again and refile. If you receive a RFE you just send in the documents they requested.

Just wait because you might get lucky and get a RFE. No point of paying again and resending and you dont know the outcome

My cousin came through Atlanta....easy breezy it just took forever because there were so many people CBP were inspecting

What are some ways not to have your documents rejected? Im still waiting on my case number and getting prepared

U dont need 200 photos..i sent in appox 50 from each trip (been there 3 times)

I had joint bank account info (his bank in Ghana allowed me to be added to his account)

hotel/wedding receipts

added to life and non driver on car insurance

added as authorized user on my credit cards

affidavit of support from my mom and brother letters

screenshots of him talking to my children and family

messages between him and my family and vice versa

airline tickets passport stamps

copies of his FB pages indicating me on his social media

phone records and FB chats from the time we first met ( I did 3 chats per month from the time we met...beginning, middle, and end of the month)

Received dec 6 ....nothing

Every embassy is different it it taking Ghana 3 to 4 months after case complete so you need to look at timelines from your country and ask people who have had interviews from that embassy.

If I receive and file my taxes for 2018 before my case number comes can I send in 2018 and 2017 taxes?

This question is for all who have been approved for a interview in Ghana what documents did you have to bring to the interview and what documents did the CO ask for ?
