  1. For those who submitted their DS-260, the vaccination question "Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law?" I have received vaccinations and I have records but I don't know if these satisfy "US requirements" or if the documents are considered official for immigration purposes (usually my country just gives vacunation cards, nothing fancy). Should my answer be Yes, because I HAVE been vaccinated although I dont know if I have every shot they need, or should I say No, and that everything will be completed during the medical exam before the interview?

I printed out these pictures in a photo printing store and had them all sent with the information written next to the pictures! I'm not sure if that's necessary to do but it looked more professional and official than a word document in my opinion :)

I did use a word documents for 3 months of our texts though.

I thought NVC only needed financial and civil documents? Do we have to prove the bonafides of our marriage again? I didn't even send pictures with my I130.

    Sorry about the checklist ☹️

Same thing happened to me and I KNOW we sent all pages to the NVC

Did you put your case number on each page you sent in?

our checklist said we did not send the correct documents but then the rep confirmed we had the correct one. The issue ended up being that they lost pages of our report, not that it was the wrong version. I guess they only have so many checklist options that they can email us, so it's confusing to say it's the incorrect one vs there are pages missing.

I dont understand how they can lose files like that. I hope I can do email processing. I've heard some people have that option. Seems safer to me.

I asked if they were equivalent not if they were the same. I know they are two different things. For USCIS the case acceptance is NOA1 where they confirm they receive it. I asked if scanning it is the same as confirming receipt. No need to be rude.

basically the same. Since nvc is not notifying when they receive it. We call it the "scan date" . But yes it's for the receive date..

    Thank you @Adreamer

NVC AND USCIS ARE 2 DIFFERENT THINGS. You have to prove to USCIS you have a bonafide marriage, nvc works with the paper work for your immigrant visa along with the us embassy.

The good thing with NVC, you manage your time with them. I received my Welcome letter on July 17, I made my payments within 2 weeks ( I did not have to deal with the payment issues that they had) also the ds-260 and sent out my paper work out as well, the only thing I sent my papers to the wrong suite 200 instead of 100 (I had to sent them yesterday again on 8/4). They will receive them on Monday august 7. I hope they scan them the same day. As soon they scan my documents I can start counting my 11 weeks to close my case. I made my 6 steps in 3 weeks due to i have to send my papers twice. :jest:

I hope everybody can do NVC so fast.

    Good luck everyone.

Wow that's amazing. That makes me excited. You mean they take 11 weeks to process and assign an interview date?

Use this link. It should tell you each type of document that you're going to need and which format, how old it can be, etc. NVC is more online yes, and you should receive a welcome e-mail from NVC once they receive your case from USCIS. This will have your NVC case number and invoice number which you will need in order to log in and pay your fees, fill out your DS-260, etc. The website for all of this is going to be ceac.state.gov .

You can also call the NVC for your case/invoice number, but from experience I've seen that you can enter, but can't actually pay your fees until you receive that email. Their number is (603) 334-0700 and I would recommend calling early in the morning. They're on the east coast and open at 8:00. If you call right when they open between 8:00-8:30 you won't have much of a wait. If you wait until the afternoon you'll have a hard time getting through and if you do you'll be on hold for a good 30 minutes.

Thank you. This is very useful information.
