That is good to hear. Do I need to do anything special? If USCIS emailed me status updates, does that mean NVC will have my email address too, or do I need to provide it to them separately?
They will have the same email they had for USCIS. Once they receive your case I believe you can call and give both the beneficiary's and petitioner's email addresses so you both get notifications. Are you going to be your own agent?

Hi everyone,
Our case was just approved at USCIS on 8/29 after more than 9 months of waiting so about to start on the NVC stage. I have a question.
Where does the very first notification from NVC get sent? Is it to me as the I 130 petitioner or does it go to my wife as the visa applicant/beneficiary?
How is this sent? By mail, by email? I don't have any confidence in the mail system in the Dominican Republic. I am hoping it is mailed to me here in the USA. Could it be emailed? USCIS have my email address, does that get given to NVC so they can send me an email? I am also moving in 2 weeks to another address, so I am worried that we don't get the initial notification from NVC.
please help
thanks
It is sent by email. They send it to the petitioner.

The agent i talked to at NVC told me they will be going faster because the backlog is getting caught up.

They seem to be moving quick, unless it's an expedite/country process. I hope they are speeding up so they can schedule our interviews faster.

Hi everyone! Just a quick question. I received a checklist early this morning for my 2016 tax transcripts pr income tax returns. However I was not required to pay taxes for that year because my income was under the required amount. So with my I-864 I included a letter explaining this, Social Security Statement of Earnings and my Irs Transcript of non-filing. On my coverpage I checked the box that said that I included IRS Tax transcripts because I included the Irs Transcript of non-filing. Was this incorrect? Is the Transcript of non-filing not considered a Tax Transcript?
If it is incorrect do I have to send another coverpage alone?
Also my scan date is the 21st of August, does getting a checklist mean that our case is in review already?
Thanks so much! Excited to be hearing back from them so soon.
If you specifically received a checklist for tax transcripts/returns only, then yes they are reviewing already. And that's impressively fast considering your scan date was August 21st.

https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx#
This site is to check when you case says "at NVC" for CR1/IR1 visas this usually means case complete. Until then it will stay at " submit documents"
https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx
This is where you will check if your A.O.S has disappeared which is another sign of case complete for this visa class
Unless you get a checklist requiring to send in more documents then they won't change you will just get the checklist email.
Understood. Thank you @Adreamer

So what are the different stages on the ceac website? I hear people talking about AOS dissappearing, showing at NVC, etc.
What are the different kinds of "status" from the time you get a scan date?

Hi,
I called and asked for an update on our case and the officer stated it went for review yesterday.
I checked online today and our case is complete!!! Status shows "AT NVC"
GOD is Great!!!!
So it only took them a day to review? That's nice, congrats!

Hi Leah09
I've send my pacakge on this past Friday with USPS overnight and it got delivered today the address that I used was
National Visa Center
Attn. CMR31 Rochester Avenue Suite 100
Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914Just wanted update with the address that I've used and it got delivered.
Thanks. It must be something with the delivery guy because the address was confirmed with fedex and they got it right.

That stinks, I'm staying with my beneficiary most of the time so if I'm not home I'm going to have to send DHL or Fedex.
Did you have an option to mark it as a business? sometimes it asks that so they know to deliver during certain hours.
Let us know when it gets delivered.
Its the very rare instance where its actually better to use USPS
oops that was meant for @Leah
Every step in this process has such unnecessary complications. Fedex says nobody was there, NVC says they are open. So Idk what the deal is. All we can do is wait til tomorrow, again... I hope it's not the mail guy going to the wrong place

so a fee of 165 for poe and 220 for uscis fee
By immigrant fee I thought you meant the IV fee paid at the NVC stage. I'm not sure how much is the fee to be paid at the point of entry. What stage are you at?

are the poe and uscis immigrant fee the same
No.. one is for the application and the other is for the green card. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear this
Based on the instructions you shouldn't have had to send a new one it sounds like
so now you're in supervisor review again??
Hopefully that speeds up the process so you're not waiting another 9 weeks
I think NVC results are a matter of who reviews your case. They have such contradictory information. Good luck @Segun1988
-
AOS and IV fees show paid. IV application ready to fill out. Documents sent already. Al 6 steps completed in a week.
NVC does get speedy sometimes

Thanks just paid through Safari and it shows as "in process". How long it takes to unlock IV?
Once they review your DS-261. You can call them and they can do it over the phone.

Thanks Leah. I will try again tomorrow.
They also recommend using internet explorer. Although one of the fees I paid from my phone using safari, the other on a pc using internet explorer.

You can call them after 10 days I would say to see if they have your case # and invoice #. If they do, you can get started on the ceac website before they send you the welcome email.
Yes, you use the USCIS case number until you get your NVC case number. Their number is (603) 334-0700. They work 7 am to midnight weekdays. Calling 7-8 am and after 10 pm have shorter wait times.
