I have just paid 120 AOS fee, DS261 was accepted over the phone ( thats what they said on the phone).

 

So whats my Next steps?

 

My in laws have overnighted me my wife papers i think.

so basically get her papers and put them in order as the check list and then put my paper behind it ? and mail as one package right?

You’re right, one checklist one package. Supporting documents is your wife, financial documents is you.

I got an email from NVC this morning and I almost got so happy but it was just the confirmation that my case was complete lol. Which I’ve known for a week. The waiting continues...

By the way, my scan date is 9-1-2017.

This is wrong. @levitude23 you have to check 1 in item #1 and item #2. You CANNOT check 1 in item #3 because it says if your spouse is NOT sponsored in this affidavit and he/she is. Then you manually enter the total of 2 on line #8.

When we get our interviews at least we will know how much longer we have to wait, not like now that it’s all in the air and we have to call those people everyday lol

I called NVC yesterday and they told me they schedule interviews during the first two weeks of every month.. apparently there’s no standard for this..

For those who had their interview, the appointment letter is to be printed from our emails or will they send the letter over the mail?

It’s not necessary. It’s just extra papers for them. Unless you have a very specific document that you’d like to explain something about, otherwise not needed.

I didn’t send any personal cover sheet or translations. The cover letter they give is enough. The AOS has to be the original signed by the sponsor, the rest is copies.
