    Hi guys!

I received an email from the NVC on the 17th, that they will now forward the petition to the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine. This is what I see when I checked the status of the application on the CEAC tracker.

What does this mean for me? What is the next step? I don't think my fiancé has received any correspondence form the Embassy yet, but is there anything productive we can do until she hears from them?

    Thank you!

    Kyiv has instructions online

    Hello,

I am at the stage in the K1 visa process where I just received an email from the Nation Visa Center with my appointment location. Prior to filling out the DS-160 I need to complete form I-134, but that  is where I have a few questions.

I just recently graduated from college, so I don't have a job at the moment. I am currently living with my parents in a household that has a total of 6 people. I have some work experience + my tax returns from the last few years, but each of them are less than the amount needed to support me and my fiancée. I can get a job relatively quickly and borrow some money for an apartment so that when it comes time to fill out the I-134 form, I fall under the $22,000 minimum requirement to support me and my fiancée. My question is, is that the best way to go about it? Can I work at job and still fall under the $22,000 minimum requirement since I will be responsible for myself and my fiancée or will my parents have to co-sponsor since I am living with them?

Thank you for taking the time to read/help!

You will need a qualified co sponsor.  Doesn't have to be your parents but certainly could be.

The advice we got was to wait 2 weeks (at least) so that they have enough time to input his K1 and arrival info into the SAVE system. Never have we been recommended to apply for it immediately after arriving, especially on a K1. Not only that, but when he called, there were no appointments available anyway until June 24th so we would’ve had to wait anyways..

Waiting 2 weeks was when CBP was a paper based system.  They are electronic now.

To be honest, I'm not sure if I should do the EAD form for him? Y? Because I saw the same ssn option on the new edition of the i485 form when reviewing it. I haven't submitted the documents as yet however I did fill his EAD form out just in case.

If you're not concerned about when he gets the SSN, then EAD is not needed as the GC will make him eligible.

Philippine CFO is asking a proof of no marriage from me, the US petitioner. I have never been married before and when I contacted my county clerk, they had no idea what I am talking about.

Some quick googling, I found a template for Single Status Affidavit Form that I have to get notarize and apostille.

Has anybody done this before? What are other forms of proof of single status?

I didn't.   The USA has no such document. CFO should know this.

FYI.  This is better asked in the Philippines regional forum

In the case that the change of venue were not approved, or if the case gets sent to Johannesburg before the inquiry is processed, what is the timeline for requesting a case transfer from Johannesburg to South Korea?

Typically 2 to 4 weeks after acceptance by the consulate.   However,  each consulate has there own local process, so your actual experience may vary.

    Hello,

My fiance is a dual French/Mexican national. We applied for the K1 visa in France, and the case was approved, and the interview is slated to take place in France. Now my fiance is in Mexico (long story). I called USICS, explained the situation, and the agent replied as if this was no big deal. He said he would file the interview transfer request (to interview in Mexico) on my behalf. A few days later I received an email notice to file an I-824 and pay about a $450 filing fee. The agent never mentioned this on the phone. Has anyone experienced this? Any advice? Thank you!

Why did you call USCIS?  Where is the petition currently?

hi, i kind of asked this in another thread but i want to be sure so i'm starting a new thread. In the I-485 instructions it says

    11. Certified Police and Court Records of Criminal Charges, Arrests, or Convictions

You must submit certified police and court records for any criminal charges, arrests, or convictions you may have.

It doesn't say what to do if you have none. My wife has no criminal history or any kind in Thailand, US and everywhere else.

What should we submit if anything?

    thanks

    Write "None" or N/A

For the OP...  has your friend ever met his fiancée in person?

If they have met in person is it just that their last meeting was more than two years ago due to COVID travel restrictions?

I am in the second set of circumstances.  Long relationship with Colombian fiancée with multiple in person meetings. But due to COVID lockdown it has now been more than two years since we have seen each other in person.  Case is stuck at NVC pending the embassy calling for more cases to be sent.

If it is an issue then I will figure it out. May be a brief and expensive long weekend trip.

The OP hasn't filed a petition because they've never met and therefore not eligible.   You were eligible at the time you submitted the petition.  Your situation is drastically different.

My fiancé is in a situation right now where he doesn’t have permanent housing. He lived with his parents when filing the I-130 petition, but is not at that address now. What should he put as that address.

An i130 is not the petition for a fiancee.

Is your fiancee the alien or petitioner?  Has the petition been approved?

    Hi all,

We are getting ready to mail the I-130 to the Frankfurt office.  However, we were told that only US cashiers checks , US dollar money orders, and bank checks issued by a German bank in US dollars drawn on a US bank are accepted..  none of these seem easy in Germany, short of having someone mail a cashiers check/ money order to us from the US.. Would appreciate any tips anyone has on this one. Thanks in advance!

There are quite a few members with recent DCF in Frankfurt,  did you consider contacting them to see how they dealt with the payment process?
