  1. Hey everyone!

After our case has been approved on 6 November, the CO told me that my passport will be available to pick up within 5 business days. Friday was a national holiday, so we are still within the window. However, when I log into 'case status' check, I see an admin processing message (see below). I've read elsewhere on VJ that all cases undergo this message before it says 'issued' and it is an automated computer message. But, I can't help but to worry. Please let me know if this has happened to any of you before :)

    Have a great day!!!

@cameradiaryHere, if you look on the official US website, you will see that K-1 is listed under immigrant. There is even an explanation. Therefore, chances are, your visa wont be affected:

that is so sweet thank you ♥️♥️ I hope that will be the case. It calms me down. My fiancé said we can reapply to marry if it comes to the worst :(

I hope it won't. Found the English version of the statement.

  4. I need everyone's help big time :(

A piece of news on Turkish media that also is officially on the American Embassy in Turkey's webpage (although unfortunately only on the Turkish page at the moment).

I will try to translate the attached to the best of my ability:

"Explanation from the Diplomatic Mission of USA at Turkey

The latest developments have forced the USA Government to re-evaluate the safety of personnel at the Diplomatic Mission of USA at Turkey. In order to minimise the number of guests during the re-evaluation period, effective from now on, all non immigrant visa applications have been put on hold."

Furthermore, the news talk about how this period is unspecified. I have spoken to a friend who is a dual citizen, who used to work there. She told me that the decision is effective including the staff (i.e they will not be able to apply for a non-immigrant visa either).

My question is, do you think that the petition will now be on hold or will they transfer it to a different embassy?

Thanks in advance. I'm so sad...

Sorry to keep posting negativity but I broke down yesterday. Waiting for NOA2 is still driving me insane and I can't cope. No RFE request - no action since April 11 (NOA1). I dont know what to do. My fiance doesn't want to call them - last time (and only time) we got a NOA2 they called and told us to wait for the 6 month mark. He wants to just wait for that, because they'll have a note on our case that we were pestering and he doesn't want to give them any reason to deny but I literally cannot cope can someone help me out?

You aren't posting negativity. I can completely understand the feeling of hopelessness combined with missing your fiancé so much.

If it is of any help, I know of a couple who were on the same boat as you. Their NOA2 came through by around 6 months. Thereafter, the process was much easier for them. At the moment, they are happily married... (This will be you two, hopefully; this time next year ♥️)

I am so sorry I can't give you a practical tip, and can only tell you things that won't change how you feel but please please remember that it is so close now...You aren't alone.

Try calling at 6 months mark again I think, especially if he has called more than once?

Anyway, hoping the best for you...

  6. Hello and congratulations to everyone who's got their NOA2 and got even further with their journey!

Our NOA2 was 27 April and we still didn't hear back even though cases numbered after us did get their NOA2s...

My question at this point is: Would you guys recommend my fiancé to call a tier2 officer? Those of you guys who did, did you see the beneficial effect on your case?

I'm shying away from doing so in case it may hurt the case and cause further delays?

Any advice is mostly appreciated! Good luck 😊

I applied for my U.K. police certifcate July 2nd, I haven't received mine yet. I followed up with ACRO and they told me it was already dispatched on July 12th! I followed up at the headquarters of the post office here because my local post office doesn't know where is my mail yet and apparently the certificate is delivered to a different post office, about the distance between Surrey and France! Haha. Hopefully I'll hear something from them soon. I reckon that Philippine Postal system is a bit unreliable on this one. Ugh.

Oh, I'm sorry it has taken so long! :( I still haven't applied for mine, should really get on to it. I hope you won't have to travel all that way, and they will get it to you safely soon.

I'm in a bit of a panic mode now, just wondering what else is there that I should be doing that I am unaware of!

The lack of NOA2s for April filers isn't helping with my mood, either! Sorry to be such a whiner, hope everyone has a great Friday and wishing for some good news! ^_^

  8. congrats @rainbow.sprinkle!!! so happy for you!

@Estibaliz it was such a good idea to be organised! thanks to you, I discovered something! i am normally very last minute with these things.

I wanted to share this with all of you who may have lived in a different country for more than 6 months. We need to provide police clearances from those countries, as well. mine was from the UK, and the service (without the delivery time) takes 10 days and it costs significantly higher if you want it faster! i wanted to share this because even requesting that document requires documents that may take time to collect!

DAY 120 :( (Day 126 since Received) Nothing in Informed Delivery

Not much to say about this.  Frustrated and feeling down at the moment.  Unfortunately I am dealing with some other issues personally that I don't want to go into.  Hope everyone has a great Monday and good luck to all.

One Day More... One Day Less... One Day Closer... :jest:

I'm sorry you are feeling down at the moment. I am also going through personal things and I know it worsens the situation. It seems to always be like this, though. It will be worth the wait in the end. Last push and you will be there...

So now Ima spend my lunch everyday calling until I get someone that can answer my question.

When he thought I was just asking for case statues he says it's still being worked on and it's well within normal processing times as they are working on processing cases from the first of January. Figured someone might want to hear that part. But anywho. Rant over.

Oh, this sounds very stressful. I'm so sorry you don't get a response. I have no clue how to help you, or whom else you could contact at this point. Please keep us updated. I hope someone wise here can you give you a tactic! 🌟🌟 I hope you will hear an update soon...

  11. Hello lovely fellow April filers!

Despite the disheartening and fickle noa2 estimate times on VJ, despite what some friends say about how summer time processing can be very stagnant, despite the negative and almost conspiracy-theory like things I have heard about possible reasons as to our increasing wait times, I just HOPE that this feeling I've got that TODAY is the day we hear a NOA2 announcement from April thread is a real one 🤗😍🌻

Excited, frustrated, fed up & hopeful. My days have never dragged this slowly but im hanging in there. Next week is our week!:P

I know I will sound like Polyanna, but remember we could have been at this point 3 decades ago, and can you imagine? No skype, no whatsapp, no fb, NOTHING! I'm very grateful for skype, even if we have to sacrifice sleep a lot due to time difference, I get to see him every day! ^_^ Hang in there, you have a BIG reason to celebrate next week!

Thank you and good luck to you.  Although we are planning to do courthouse wedding as soon as possible and then starting the AOS process to get the GC, EAD and AP done so that we can travel and stuff.  You are right about finally being together and not having to do the long distance thing again.  That will be quite a relief.

Aww wedding is such a positive topic to think about!  Takes the mind off of the long wait and focuses us on the good stuff that are about to hopefully happen to all of us! Such a pretty pic of you two!
