Hi there my friends!!!
I was a mess this couple days, happy to see a bunch of people getting their approvals and knowing that the process was finally moving forward but sad that mine wasn't at the approval gig. And today I decided that I was not going to look at anything related to K1, even did some meditation, cleaned my room and my soul and in the afternoon my love send what i have being expecting for freaking 192 days!! We finally got our NOA2
NOA1- August 8
NOA2 - Feb 16
Best of luck for all the fillers that are still waiting
Now the NVC waits begins...
p.s. I already updated my timeline, people update your timeline, pleaseeee

Nope those are not last digits. They are just ID numbering in order to make analysis possible, its given with the same order of wac numbers.
So you cannot actually check your case status there.
If your case got approved in USCIS website, then it is approved. If not it is also not approved on that list.
oh I understood! Thank you

Hi @Naes,
First really appreciate all the work and help that you have been providing for this community you always give us some answers and clarity through this process.
I'm wondering if I really got this right... I checked the link of the K1 updates spreadsheet, from the list of the WAC numbers(I presume that the last 3 digits are the digits for my case), our case got approved (02/08/18) but we didnt received a online update or the mail. So it may be on it way??
Thanks in advance

Hello Augustines,
I posted something similar when July started, and it seems to get lost in between the lines.
As I took it on me to scan and inform you about August cases, and as a September filer I will also be doing it for September, believe me when I say your wait is my wait. However, I have one favor to ask.
Please remember the things I'll write here.
I saw 4 months roll so far, and I was here every single day of that.
I saw how the months flow and there is only 1 thing that hurts me everytime.
it is that, people easily say that "why are they doing cases after me?!"Your case is ahead of someone else's is the thing to remember, in order to stay sane for yourself, to not get negative for yourself first; but also to support each other, to respect people the previous months.
I will be happy when September starts, not because it is my month; but because it shows they are trying to solve the situation for following months.
Not because it is my month, but because I know that's how they do it and it is not abandonment of August or July cases when it happens. So that being said as my wish to you all, a few things to remember along the way:
1) They started August, this means while August will move forward, July will be the main month they will flow at least for 1-2 more weeks.
There are people in May and June still waiting, please show support as they did to all of us till now, and ask questions about August in this August topic.2) Your case may be jumped over.
And it probably will be jumped over. Try not to stress over it too much. They will come back.
USCIS does not go in an exact order. Some cases will need more time, due to background checks being different, or getting a hit that results in additional background checks, or simply just stays in another pile.
How it usually works so far is; They will go through the month touching every single day, while at the same time approving and sending RFEs here and there. once the month finishes overall,
they slowly move to the next date on the next month; and while doing this they will go all over your month backwards again and continue approving.3) They do not update the system for most approvals.
We have more approvals not updated than what it is. There is a huge possibility you will only see RFEs on some daily scans, especially for dates with no approvals online, it means Approvals will come in the mail.
And even RFEs too. Please if it is available in your area register to USPS informed delivery (google it or check my signature). So even a day looks like it has many more virgin cases the actual situation is way better than that.4) Anyone can use the apps to check these cases by themselves.
We usually have 1 person doing the overall, in order to keep servers from slowing down. However, whoever checks from wherever the data is same, the info is same.5) Check your personal case status by using USCIS website's case tracker.
I do not provide personal status for anyone. If it does not update in USCIS, I won't know it either. And I don't have a crystal ball (although I did work as a fortune teller when I was young.. like really seriously)6) Please stay positive, or get angry and frustrated but don't be sad.
Sadness will only bring you and your partner more sadness. Nobody is alone here, everyone is going through similar problems, we are all waiting.Don't forget Sad faces scares away NOA2s!! Good Luck to All!!!

I found that 8/9 case, obviously it was 8/8
(I have no idea if it was an expedite - if it was sad that it just came in)
On another note;
When a "name was updated" shows up when no one actually asked for an update, it usually means there will be an approval on that case the next day...
I saw it happen a lot!
08/01/17 2/5/2018 Your Current Status: Date of Birth Was Updated 08/03/17 2/5/2018 Your Current Status: Name Was Updated 08/08/17 2/5/2018 Your Current Status: Case Was Approved
Thank you Naes for the hard work and for the very precious words!!!
Congratulations for all the Augustines approved so far and best of luck for all of us at this insane journey to be with our loved ones!!!
Im truly happy and hopeful right now and just sent a text to my boy saying to him to remember that he loves me because now i can go really nuts checking for updates and talking like crazy about this hole process, next steps and all.

I'm wondering taking in consideration those approved cases of November, without an expedition, can we all open an inquiry at USCIS for it ####### service that says that they follow the order of the cases that were received, but in in the real world we have people waiting over 250 days and other getting approved sooner??
Happy for those getting the approvals, but I'm really piss with USCIS

Hi MK,
I can share my experience with you.
We started the K1 process on October 2016. On November 2016 I came from Brazil to US with a B1/B2 Visa. At the port of entrance, the officer asked the traditional "What are you here for?" I explained that I was here to visit my boyfriend. Than she asked "For how long?" It was 2 months. She checked the computer and saw that it was my third time here as a tourist in the same year. She asked if I don't work? Who was supporting me for the trips? I told that I have my savings. Buy the end she stamped my passport allowing me to stay legally here for 6 months. Ufa! I didn't create any fake situation.
I can tell you that it is legal and you can come with your B1/B2 as a tourist while waiting for the K1. As you are going to do training at the university, check first if it is necessary another type of visa.
I hope that I could help!
Thank you for your response. End up that I had to gave up from my training and future job opportunity! My actions could be misunderstood by the immigration and jeopardy the hole process
-
Hi,
Go right away and submit it! The K1 is currently taking 6 to 8 months to be issued and will be enough time to everything. Just make sure that your fiancé send the documents on her end (letter of intent to marry, the 2x2inch photo, copy of passport and other proofs that you have met in person)

@Daniel P and @Naes are so helpful, informative and life savers on this whole process. Many thanks to all of you guys to help this desperate for information human being!!!
Our process is today at 120 days and counting!!!
I'm even getting crazier because this slow process is making me lose time with my love and a fantastic job opportunity that was my dream job because Im not going to be in the US in January anymore
But lets keep our hopes up and pray for the Xmas miracle better believe on that than let my stress destroy my soul hahahahahahah

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to figure out how to proceed with this dilemma that I'm facing and would really appreciate any insight that this great community could give me
Im the beneficiary. We got our NOA1 in August 8 and are currently waiting for the NOA2.
Right after we sent it, a professor/friend of mine offered me a job at his University Lab under a J1 visa. Since we had sent the package and had got the NOA1, this great community helped me to realize that the best option was to see if he could wait until I got at the US, since after the K1 application a J1 visa approval would be very unlikely and could bring me issues in the future.
He said that he could wait until January, what in August was good, because the whole process were taking 3-5 months and it all would work out. But now that only the NOA2 is taking 6 mo I dont think that I will be in the US before March/April.
This 2 mo delay put the project that my professor is working on in a major problem, specially because he need time to taught me all that I'll have to perform and how he want the whole laboratory work. So we wonder if I could go there now, while waiting for the NOA2, get my training and get back here for the medical exams and interview.
Im under a B1/B2 visa and it would be a unpaid training for now.
My concern is if this could raise any red flags when I ask to expedite my WP after the AOS (since he will get me a proper job offer when i get in the US) and also at the interview for the green card, as they could think that i worked without authorization.
Again there wont be any salary now, I would only get the experience and training under the protocol and analysis of the data at this research project.
Thanks in advance and I hope that I didnt make this whole text too confusing

Sounds more like a J1, why could you not take that?
For what I researched, since the final intention over the K1 is to immigrate, once you get married and so forth I couldnt apply for a non immigrate visa, such as the J1, that has an established time of 2 years that can be renewed for few more years, but that is strictly a non immigrant visa.
Hope that I could express this in a non confusing way

Is this a J1?
No I have a B1/B2 visa that I used in 2015 to do a training in a governamental company in Atlanta and now Im seeking this new training in Cleveland. He offered me a J1 at the beginning, but since I had already filled for the K1 I couldn't take the J1

Hi everyone,
I'm with a dilema and would like to know if anyone here have experienced that or have any advice. My currently situation is:
We got our NOA1 in August 8 and are unde 115 days waiting for the NOA2. I got a job offer, right after we sent our package and the boss was on board to wait for me until January. But since the whole K1 process is so delayed I dont expect to be in the US by January anymore, probably March or April.
Because of grant issues and deadlines the boss can't wait for me past January and we were talking about the possibility for me to go there now, start the training over all the process and get some things done, as an unpaid internship. He is a old professor of mine and I would stay at his house during this time and when we receive the NOA2 i would come back to brazil to do the medical and interview.
I'm concern if this could jeopardy my K1 process, since as soon as I get my WP I will be hired by the University
Can anyone help me with this???
Thaks in advance

The longer it takes more money u can save
I know that is a great amount that we will have to pay for this, but I rather have to deal with the money than with this hole waiting!
Im closer to the amount that we need for this next set up than I'm from this NOA2
-
Damn the VJ timeline just got pushed for 10 days! Ughhhhh USCIS need to speed up this processing time! I want processing times as last year that was around 2 months!!! This waiting isn't killing me

I just wish I had more insight into the delays.
Questions such as, is the backlog expected to continue? For how long? Will conditions return to about the same as last year when I-129F petitioners were receiving their NOA2 after ONE MONTH? Will the DHS budget be approved? If so, how many USCIS visa processors will be hired? How long does it take to train them and get caught up with the backlog? Is the emergency Haiti visa issue still causing the backlog or is this mostly due to the surge in H1-B petitions before the suspension of premium processing? Is this just the regular summer slow down?
Maybe I shouldn't think about it, but having answers provides peace of mind, right?
I wish it was like last year!!! I would be waiting happily for my NOA right now!!
Patientguyinlove you are way deeper at the research around all than I'am! But I saw as well that they say that after august things speed up! Hope that this is true

I used to think I was patient.
I added that both for irony purposes and as a reminder of what I need to be throughout this process. My fiance is a lot more patient than me.
From what I gather, that status will show for the next three months, until there is an RFE or an NOA2. If someone believes otherwise, please inform us.
I had to stop checking USCIS constantly. It wasn't helping my mental health.
ughhh i wish the USCIS was more precise within the updates, they show that they are currently processing Feb/2017 applicants but there is people from april that already got the NOA2
But at least is a good info that u provide because i was worried that was something wrong going on!!! I gonna try to control myself and only check once a week hahahaha

I've downloaded the I-134 form and it comes with the instructions on how to fill it up. I saw that there's a list for evidence to submit together with the form. I just want to know if all of those are necessary? like for instance the letter form the company and pay check stubs as we can submit the tax return? also how many years of tax return should my fiance need to provide.
Hi MK2017 I've read that the form has to have your fiance's original signature
Thank you!!
1 hour ago, patientguyinlove said:Anyone else glad it's September?
Hahahahahahaha Im glad that time is passing fast, but I'll be the happier person ever in december when the NOA2 get in, lol !!!
I'm already going crazy anxious around all this process and patience is not one of my strong virtudes.
While I'm checking the USCIS constantly and the VJ all the time, my fiancé is super chill and he is like,,, "don't worry! when you less expect it we will get the notification"
One thing that I would like to check with you guys, our case status at still shows the same message since August 8 when we got the NOA1, that they received it and so forth. Does anyone here get a different message?

First, not all j1 visas come with the two year home stay requirement. It depends on the source of the funding. But if the visa does have that requirement you are very unlikely to get a waiver. In that situation you are really in a bad position.
You may be able to get the j1, but honestly I'm guessing that it wouldn't be worth the hassle, given that you are already in the process of getting the k1 visa. I think that ff's suggestion of asking if the professor could wait till you are there is best. When you apply for your ead you can use the job offer to request expedited approval of the ead. Then you won't have to worry about the home stay and the professor doesn't have any hassles regarding a visa.
8 hours ago, f f said:it will be bear impossible for you to get a non immigrant visa with a k1 pending. unless it allows for dual intent.
if the professor is willing to wait that job offer would be valid for expediting the ead once you arrive on the k1 marry and file for aos.
Thank you ff and EG&XY. Good to know that the job offer can help me to speed up the process at the AOS and the permits. Gonna check with him if he can wait, hope that he can

Hi all,
I'm facing a dilemma and wonder if this great community can help me once again.
My fiancé applied for our K1 in the beginning of August and we are currently at the crazy wait for the NOA2. Meanwhile that a old professor got a position at his university and offer to sponsor me with a J1 to work with him at his University in the US.
First I thought about doing both process at the same time, but I saw that J1 is strictly non immigrat visa. So I guess that I couldn't do that because the USCIS has already my info that I want to immigrate. Is that right? And there is the 2 year rules that would put me back to Brazil even if I was married with my boy, right?
Is pulling back the K1 an option or now that they have my info if I pull a J1 it's gonna sound suspicious and they will deny me a J1 because in the end I want to immigrate?
I appriciate any help and suggestions. Thank you all

I am the petitioner , I plan on only doing the affidavit of support form, tax return copy , letter from my bank and employer. all you need is proof your working and can meet the poverty threshold requirement. Tax return is MAJOR proof. keep in mind not all VO's ask for income proof, just the support form.
Thank you!! when you plan sending all this to your beneficiary?
1 hour ago, Mike and Wilma said:Also, visit your fiancé more than once! if only 1 time then chances of a "no" is very high! they will think "why he/she only visit you one time?" I went to visit my fiancé twice already and have evidence to support it and I will be there for the interview period as well, so when they ask her "how many times he come to Taiwan to visit you?" she will say "3 times and he is here now waiting on the decision of this interview
"
Yes, fortunately we have met each other a few times since we started dating. He is not coming to the interview though

Hi everyone! We submitted our I-129 last 9th August and they receive it last 11 August. We receive the original NOA1 in the mail last 21st August dated 15th August. While waiting for the NOA2 my fiance wants to prepare the documents that he needs to send to me with the Affidavit of Support. What else should he sent to me aside from the tax return? Can anyone help me?
Im with the same doubts! For what I saw is tax returns, a document from the back with amount of money that he has and a letter of the employer (what he works on, when he started working there and this kind of things. Is really that?
Plus Im curious to know when to ask him to sent that, since want to get everything ready to finish this process as soon as it arrives at my embassy. I saw somewhere that it doesn't need to be original on this that it can all be scanned and sent by email from him to me.
What you guys think??

Obrigada meninas

Very nice trend!!!
First we weren't planning to do anything but both moms got the puppy eyes on us and got to be very persuasive that in the end we shouldn't let this hole process take off the beauty of this next step of our lives.
The plan is get married as soon as we can when I get in the US at the courthouse and later 2-3 months have the hole ceremony and reception stuff (as someone point out it will keep me busy as I wait for the WP and Parole). I know that we can find things really easy in US but here i knew where and how to find it, there will make a hole new world for me to get supplies and caters and all that.
Pinterest will be my closest friend, I presume as my search is really getting focused on simple and on a budget wedding.
