its been 21 days since our approval date... so I should be hearing soon ( I hope)

Thank youuu!!!! Finally the long part is over 😩 I'm praying for the other couples to get approved as well! This is such a mental battle for us all!

WE FINALLY GOT APPROVED TODAY!!!! MAY FILER here!!!! I'm sure other people may have been approved today as well! Go check! I'm so happyyyyy! 

They claim it was not expedited.  Not sure if it was actually an RFE or if they are trolling but there is a November approval that shows up in the scans.  They seem legit but it is so hard to believe (yet so believable).

They received ours january 17th, assigned case number on the 19th and it was ready at the embassy on the 25th. I've heard for some people it can take a week or 2 for case number though, it's random.

I suppose that since you know it's been received, you could call daily (or multiple times a day like some people here ) . My fiance and I decided to wait a little. I decided to call today, just because I can and was rewarded with our case number
 
The "old" advice (prior to the 6-8 week timelines) was to give it roughly 1,5 - 2 weeks, so it seems like we're back to that. Meaning USCIS is doing great in terms of forwarding petitions to NVC!

From this forum, I'm getting the feeling they are currently changing their system...... and that currently its pot luck if your case is on the old system or the new system....  This is JUST a feeling from hints I've gotten on this forum from people mentioning their person who answered the phone saying that their case is 'electronic' and a 'new system' and that they haven't yet been trained in it.....  I have no idea which mine is in, if thats even the case, but thats a possible explanation?

We got our NVC number today via email. NVC recieved 01-18 NVC numbed assigned 01-30. Hoping for an late feb POE or early March.

After  you get the NVC number He needs to fill the DS-160 and then go to this website and fill his information ( https://ais.usvisa-info.com/pt-br/iv) once his interview is available to be booked the website will allow him to pay de fee ( via credicard or cash) and he will be able to choose a  date and time. As far as I could see they had Feb 27th March 6th, 20th and 27th available. I think they have like 5 timeslotes per day. not sure 

They changed the processing times to "as of Nov 2017" and June 27 2017.

I was not posting much since i was focused on different topic (NVC) more.
Im glad to see that @vocaledge got approved in the meantime and that all of us are closer and closer to be fully happy.
 
My case is at NVC but as soon as I got case # I scheduled medical (available in less than a week so Im going this Wednesday!) 
At this stage I know I'll be packing soon..just few baby steps more..  

I keep my fingers crossed for missing NOA2's! Hope it will be over soon Guys! <3

Just manage to book my interview for Feb 27th 08:00 am local time  
 
They had available for Rio embassy Feb 27th, Mar 6th, 20th and 27th. 
 
Will schedule my medical now. 

My status still says 'At NVC', so once it changes to 'ready', then I can book the interview but since the medical is valid for 6 months, I went ahead and got that booked in, especially since I dont want to wait any longer than I have to... I think we all agree we've all waited long enough in this process.

Rest assured, as soon as that case says 'In Transit' (hopefully today or tomorrow), I'll be trying again, and then as soon as it says "Ready", I will be on it so fast haha

I have a printout of NVC case number from the CEAC website showing the status - the lady on the phone said that was fine.

SHUT UP ! in 14 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  @vocaledge  do you see this... brother our time is SOON SOON SOON SOON

@vocaledge  isn't this awesome.. I was settling and happy for fiancé arriving in June.  but now the chance of april is very very plausible.  so excited

WHAT! THIS IS AWESOME!   mine has GOT to be there and just not uploaded yet..... I called this morning. I'm going to call in another 2 or 3 hours (I'm jan 10 Noa2)
