Lisa & Jorge reacted to Geo_nerd82 in I-129F June, Part II
I have a very perticular set of skills....
I will inadvertently find that nerve, and I will press it....
A.) I was not accusing anyone of hypocrisy. I can see how it could come across that way but that wasn't my intent. You were all excited when they got onto June before finishing a lot of May, but I didn't say people did that in an insensitive/vindictive way.
2.) I'm trying to create some perspective here. I understand being frustrated but this is hardly new and we all (at least should have) known this was coming. It's very possible I'll get passed over, too. I've mentally prepared myself for that, though as best I can and am still psyching up for that.
D.) Don't get so hung up on my use of the word "all". For some reason you thought I was referring to an all-encompassing set with no exceptions or outliers. I was using it obviously in the common colloquial usage which means "a lot of people".
So, let this be a cultural lesson for all the beneficiaries on this thread: don't confuse "all" with "all-y'all".... 🤣

Yeah 5 hours is hard. Basically when his work day is done, I'm ready to fall asleep cos its 4.30am... and when i wake up in the morning, he's asleep, so when he wakes up theres just an hour or so before he starts work when we can converse. Because of that, we make sure to schedule days off so that we use our time wisely - weekly date night, for example. And we sleep together every night so that even if we aren't talking, we have that intimate time of falling asleep/waking up, and just being together. But its hard for sure. Can't wait to be on the same time zone haha

I get to eat dinner with her while she has her morning coffee. All told, it isn't perfect but it isn't that bad either!

consider online private/homeschool for that year to make it easy in both situations? there are a ton of options (if the speak English) and some are very affordable. just throwing it out there as an option since its a tricky situation. :-)

He said to them well our friend approved on June 29th and has had theirs in the post last week so how is that possible they just said I’m sorry but we are only working on June 1st. Can I call them as the beneficiary?

They’re on to us running scans everyday haha so they’re just messing with us! Honestly, not sure what’s going on with the lack of online updates and hoping it isn’t anything that will impact us...the good news is people have been receiving their NOA2s in the mail so that is reassuring

I did the same. I put in the The Hague as that's where the embassy is, but after filing I found out that only the consulate in Amsterdam processes visa's.
I've been assured by other members here that they will automatically send it to the embassy/consulate that handles visa's. So, no need to worry.

I've shrugged and facepalmed so much that I have arthritis in my shoulders and a permanent handprint on my forehead.

I have given up trying to guess... This is the second day in a row now... but... what I dont understand is...
(I dont have an NOA1 in front of me)... but doesn't it say specifically to track your case status online....? I dont understand how they can direct you to do such a thing, and then not update it comprehensively and say "the online status is a privelege for you, not a requirement for us"......?!?!?! Take it off of your NOA1 official documentation then FFS.
(I'm getting more annoyed by this department EVERY day.)

Do you think they will give us back the difference in fee increase for waiting this long to help us with our, now more expensive, summer flights? 😂😂😂😂
Ugh. Today sucks. Really feeling it today.

Happy for those June 1 and 2 people, but where's the rest of June 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and just everything under June 29th? Hmpf!
I really hope they finish more June before moving on to July!

Hello June Filers
NOA1 - JUN 9
DEC 12 - WE received RFE
DEC 13 - WE sent Response to RFE
DEC 14 - They received Response to RFE
JAN 02 - They sent Approval Notice
JAN 08 - We received Approval Notice
We could say they approved our case 15 days after they recieved the Response To RFE. Our case status still says ''Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received''. They haven't updated it yet. So my friends, even though you don't see approvals on the daily scan, don't lose faith. Your approval notice may be on its way right now.

Ok people! Here we go again. We all know (or hope) that eventually the bottleneck will free up and we will start seeing real numbers from USCIS.
I also hear that a CR-1 September filer got their NOA2 in December. We know someone is working at USCIS. Maybe it will start being our turn now.
Day 217 and my VJ timeline did not change this morning! Still December 21. I will take that small victory.

I think you will be very happy with that decision. I couldn't imagine adding the stress of a wedding on top of waiting for NOA2. We are also going that route. A small courthouse wedding with just a few friends and family then a big reception later when we actually have time to arrange everything.
-
Lisa & Jorge reacted to Tony and Tillie in I-129F June, Part II
Yup. It's better to do the courthouse than be in the doghouse.

Seriously, it is a great sign that they looked at all. The files with RFE seem to be kept separate so when the satisfactory answer is received, it is approved right away. Congrats...

Yep, those are about my calculations too, even though the US consulate in Amsterdam is supposedly a fast one.
My fiance and I had tentatively set our wedding date for April 29. We decided yesterday (after many discussions over the last couple weeks) to cancel those plans and to just do a courthouse wedding after POE. We'll decide on a reception at a later stage.
All this uncertainty and still no NOA2 is driving me nuts. I don't want wedding planning stress because of a dumb visa. Not good for the peace in our relationship, hehe

That is what I am hoping. I was also told that there were no June approvals yet so I don't trust a Tier II as far as I can throw them...
