No Idea, that is just want I was told. Most likely it is what everyone is told when they call for a status update on their case.

Maybe its because our case is complicated due to her work situation and that is why it may take longer? Again, no one really knows why things happen the way they do here.

Yea i think so.. that's why they say it's case to case basis.. some people get it early some get it late.. just stay positive.. who knows..u will have it this week..

I just called their customer service number to get an update on the case, NOA1 received on July 13th here.

I was told the processing time will take another 1-2 months for my case. Hopefully that is not true and just a number they pulled out of their butts since people here are posted conflicting news with their NOA2 approval.

Just wanted to rant....hopefully I hear good news this week.

Oh how come it would take 1-2months.. we are the same.. mt noa1 was july 13.. i got approved january 19.. 190days waiting.. how come u will wait 1-2months??

No, the US citizen having the single DUI isn't going to automatically result in a K1 visa denial, unless there was grave bodily harm to another person as a result of the DUI, children were in the car at the time, etc.  What was the final disposition of the case, do you know?

A USC is only barred from applying for a fiancee or a spouse based on the Adam Walsh acts that relates to child abuse.

By the way, a DUI is a criminal offense.

Ok sorry I didn't know about dui that much.. but thank u now i know it. he was the only person on his car that time.. no harm to another person.. there was a check point that time.. I don't know what was the final disposition of the case but i'll ask him as soon as he wakes up..

but i have another question.. if someone had a dui that hasn't been settled is that person still had a permit to drive? Or not?

Who has the DUI, the US citizen or the foreign fiance?

Did it happen in the USA or another country?

What was the final disposition in the case?

    Is it their only offense?

    More info please

    The US citizen..

    it happened in the US

and yes thats the only offense

dui of alcohol.. 2011 and 2012 i think.. no criminal records.. just the DUI

Nope! My NOA1 didn't have my middle name and I used it throughout the I-129F application. It did have the petitioners middle name on the form though.

Nothing to worry about. As long as you've stated the middle name in your application and its on your beneficiary's passport and/or other gov't identification you're good! My Canadian passport doesn't contain my middle name but my gov't ID's and birth certificate does so I added it to the petition.

    Good luck to you!!

Yea i added my fiance's middle on the I-129F and she got middle name on her passport..

    thanks for the help.. :)

goodluck to u as well 🍾🎉

Thank you to everyone that has been encouraging and helping me! My petition arrived to Dallas on July 1st and on July 17th it arrived at my mothers house with a letter saying it was rejected because the check had the wrong date written on it. I live in Cambodia so I had to mail the completed forms to my mom so that she could include the check fee. But she wrote July 28th instead of June 28th. I'm disappointed but happy to know what was wrong with it. She will mail the documents for me again this week. Thank you guys! Best luck to you all!

Aww sorry to hear that 😔
