    My Green Card expired February 19th and I still have no NOA. I just got the text message with my case number on March 2nd, check was cashed March 1st. I totally understand how you feel and I was worried as well. But I think as long as they have received your application before your Green Card expires everything is fine. 

    I was filing so late because my application was rejected the first time for sending it too early, even though the USPS receipt showed that it was in time....  I had to file again.

    Good luck and hang in there. It looks as it takes them around 4-5 weeks.

    Hello January peeps!

    We filed for the first time in November 2020. Got rejected for "failing to file within the 90 day expiring period" but our USPS Express Mail receipt shows that they received the application exactly 89 days before expiration date. It took them 2 months to send the application back. So frustrating. Anyway.... we´ve sent it again January 27th and are back in the waiting game...🙄

Ich also mitten in der Nacht alle wichtigen Sachen die mir einfielen in 3 Koffer geschmissen, morgens die Kids an der Schule abgemeldet mit traenenreichem Abschied von den Freunden (mann, hab ich vielleicht mitgeheult!):cry:, mich noch schnell abgemeldet, meine Banksachen geklaert, weiter gepackt und versucht von Freunden und Familie zu verabschieden, was leider nicht bei allen geklappt hat...

    Morgens um 05:00 Uhr sind wir dann an den Flughafen nach Frankfurt geduest. Dort war ueberraschenderweise garnichts los und vom Travel Ban nichts zu spueren. Wurde nur gefragt, ob ich in den letzten 2 Wochen in China war. Der Flug verlief auch unproblematisch und um 16:50 Uhr Freitag vor dem Ban sind wir dann endlich total platt in Philadelphia gelandet. Die Immigration Officers waren total nett. Auch hier war keine Spur von Corona Panik. Schaut jetzt wahrscheinlich anders aus....

    Nun sind wir schon ein bissel ueber 2 Wochen hier, verheiratet und haben nun auch hier in Lancaster County ne Curfew. Heiraten wollten wir ja eigentlich in Vegas, aber hat halt nicht sein sollen.:wacko: Durch die Aemterschliessungen und unserer 2 -woechigen Selbstquarantaene haben wir kurzerhand im Garten geheiratet. Wollten durch diese ganze Ungewissheit mit den Aemtern nicht unser Visa gefaehrden, da wir das Marriage Certificate so schnell wie moeglich in den Haenden halten wollten. 

    Das Lustige ist, der Mann meiner frueheren Arbeitskollegin arbeitet bei der Zeitung BNN und die haben mich dann interviewt. Standen sogar in der Zeitung. Mal schauen, ob ich den Link hier posten kann...

    Hoffe es hat geklappt. Das Bild mit Mundschutz haben wir natuerlich nur zum Spass gemacht. So schlimm war es dann doch nicht im eigenen Garten. 

    Joa, jetzt sitz ich hier, hab heute 4 Kids und bin jetzt halt erst mal mit Haushalt, kochen und Kinderbetreuung beschaeftigt. Wie schauts bei euch so aus?

    Es ist schade, dass ihr nicht so feiern konntet, wie ihr es euch vorgestellt habt, aber so schön zu hören, dass alles irgendwie doch geklappt hat.

    I had my interview on February 19th and my medical was over a year by then.

    The Lady who did the interview asked for a new medical. Our attorney told her that there is no need for a new medical because we filed my AOS long before my medical expired and that the medical only has to be valid when you file AOS. The Lady said she had to double check the law and wasn't able to approve us right away. 3 days later we got the approval letter and a week later I got my Green Card. Don't worry.🍀

    I don't have to redo mine because I´m still in time.

    To be honest, I´m not sure... I always thought that it´s valid for a year and you have to redo it if your interview is later. But if you look at what @LizM posted you are ok if you´ve filed your I-485 within a year.

    Wir haben im Juni 2017 das I-129f weggeschickt, im Januar 2018 das NOA2 bekommen, mein Visum hatte ich am 04.04 und am 21.04.2018 bin ich dann in die USA gezogen. Heute haben wir den Interview-Termin für das GC-Interview bekommen. Es ist der 19.02.!!

    Es zieht sich alles ziemlich lange hin, aber das Forum hier und die vielen tollen Mitglieder hier haben mir sehr geholfen. Man weiss einfach, dass man nicht alleine ist, in dieser Situation.

    Thank you!!! Believe me, this whole process has turned me into a kind of anxious and very, very patient person too. 

    I was in Germany for 3 weeks and yes, I was a little nervous about the reentry. But it felt sooo good to see everybody😍 No, I didn´t ask, but I will check online.

    Congratulations on receiving your combo card.

    I got mine in December and traveled to Germany for Christmas. I was a little nervous about the re-entry too, but everything worked out fine. I took all the documents with like marriage certificate and all the NOA2s. The experience at customs with re-entering was actually pretty similar to the initial entering with the K1 Visa. They brought me to a separate room, took my passport and my combo card and did some checks. They didn't want to see any document and didn't ask any questions. Very smooth. There´s no need to worry.

    I would try again to talk to a Tier2. You and I we have a similar timeline and the Tier1 I talked to didn't say anything about waiting for 30-60 days. I guess it just depends on the Tier1 you got on the phone...

     

    Edit: Oh, I´m sorry. Just saw that you´ve already got the approval letter...

    Ja, Du kannst Deinen Verlobten mitnehmen. Mein Schatz war auch dabei. Er braucht nur seinen amerikanischen Pass. Alle sind super nett dort!

    Anfang Februar könnte klappen, aber ich würde noch nichts buchen. Nach dem NOA2 geht zwar alles sehr viel schneller, aber sicher sagen kann man es leider nicht...

    Bin sehr erleichtert! Der Status online hat sich noch nicht geaendert,     steht noch auf "Interview was scheduled", aber wir haben von den Officers einen Brief mitbekommen, in dem steht dass wir approved sind! :)
