sent off all our paperwork and was received by USCIS Chicago on the 18th Jan.

Just letting you all know I just arrived home and will be running a 'midday' scan from now

June 8, 197days of wait is over...  Happy tears!!!! Just got approved!! No txt, email or case status update. Approval in the mail with informed delivery. I hope all may june filers get approved before the new year starts. 
Thank you everyone for all the support and to keep me going thru this tough time. Thanks to everyone who did the scan especially vocaledge. Good luck to everyone. 

Hello another june filer here.. We sent the packet june 15, uscis recieved it june 19 and finally the noa1 came yesterday june 21  good luck to us everyone! 

You will need a waiver if you file a petition for your new woman as it less than two years since you filed for the first one.
But filing a petition after one meeting? What's the rush? Take time to get to know her better to avoid a repeat of the previous story.

1) Child is not a USC as the father was not a USC at the time of his birth. You can not do CRBA. Child must be included on the I-129F petition as K2. Then do the K2 visa with yours.
2) To petition for the K-1 visa you and your fiance MUST have met in person WITHIN the past 2 years. It will be a waste of time to do a petition without meeting this requirement.
3) Petitioner's income must meet the I-864P poverty guidelines, for 3 people that is $24,412 http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864p.pdf
USEM can be difficult with accepting a co-sponsor, but not impossible. #1 thing they look for when accepting a co-sponsor with the K-1 is that the co-sponsor is family, so his dad is excellent for being a co-sponsor. Being you are just being this process your fiance has time to establish his income with his new job.
** Number #1 on your list right now needs to be MEETING IN PERSON WITHIN THE PAST TWO YEARS.

i only used a giant clip and mailed in a giant stack of papers. one of those black metal binder clips.
sure everything was in some logical order, but i didn't use a folder, no binder, no holes, no paperclips, no staples, no glue, no nothing.
just a giant stack of paper and a giant clip.

The filing date must be within two years of the last day of the meeting in person.

Just got my receipt in my email and text today, sent it off on the 6/15/2017 got there on the 6/19/2017 and NOA1 today!
 

It's preferred to binder or paper clip your packet. The paper protectors will be thrown away after they barcode and scan your petition packet. USCIS really does not prefer for it to be put in a binder or sheet protectors. When you mail off your packet, it goes to the lockbox where they scan and re-package it to be sent to the CSC so that it can be reviewed and adjudicated.

They have to scan your entire packet into the system. It may be best to just send it as a stack.
