I don't quite understand ur concern. It's a standard thing to ask during any type of medical exercise if u smoke or use drugs. I was also asked the same at Q life.
If drug testing is part of the requirements, they have ur blood and urine so they will test on it and find out. So that's what you should be concerned about! Plus cigarette smoking is not a crime and not a reason why u would be denied a visa if at all.
Okay peachess thank alot..as for the drugs..I have never use them so I'm at safe side.

It's a usual question the physician ask immigrant visa applicants during their medicals but I think marijuana and other hard drugs are what they are against.
Okay then,I never take hard drugs or marijuana before, thanks Abies you are God sent

I dont understand? Is that how they ask people if the use drugs before ? With out differentiating what type of smoke they are talking about,if it cegeritte or marijuana?
-
I'm nervous because she didn't even mention any use of drugs or marijuana, she just asked if i have smoke before,if she would has mention drugs or marijuana I will have know what exactly what she is referring by smoke and i would have said to that cegeritte, yes but once since I was born.

Hello guys,
Please i want to know this,I came across a tread that was talking smoke and how if u say yes,it can read to one year ban..well I was asked at my medical q-life family clinic Lagos,Nigeria if i have smoke before and i said no and the doctor asked not even a cegeritte? And i said yes when I was a kid first time sometime something and it was not my thing and i never took it again.and she asked if i drink i said yes but not often,I drink with company..please guys I hope this won't any issue on my interview? Any quick response will be appreciate.

Yaaayyy!!! I got approved this morning at LAGOS embassy.
It went very well. The only "but" was the waiting time, got there at 6:20am for a 6:30am interview, went through all the security checks, biometrics, etc. And had my interview at about 8:30am.. the interview by itself wasn't up to 5 mins.
I took the oath.. Questions asked-
How long was your husband in Nigeria before he went back?
When did u guys meet?
How did u meet and where?
Has he been married before?
So he divorced his wife in Nigeria?
Have u ever been married?
What does ur husband do?
When did u get married?
Do u have any photos of your wedding?
(I brought out the album and she asked me to open it and flip through, I flipped just about 3 pages, she asked who were in the photos, asked if we were married in church and if we had a traditional marriage)
Your visa has been approved!!
Make sure u pay the green card fee before u travel, read about your rights in the US, pick up your passport when it's ready.
I'm so happy this journey is finally over.. thanks to you all at vj for being a great support system.. and good luck to everyone else still waiting.
Congratulations peachess
