That is awesome 😁, I believe my fingerprints were also applied on 10/15/2020, atleast that is what the online notifications says. Lol. 😃
My case is also at Nebraska Service center. Hopefully they will process our cases soon. I am still waiting for my notification letter in the mail though.
Just got my approval today. Maybe you did, too! Fingers crossed 🤞

That sounds good to me. I will keep you posted if anything changes here. I have sent my application in mail on 08/22/2020 and I got the 18 month extension letter with a notice date as 08/27/2020. How about you??
Yay! I sent mine on 08/06/2020 and NOA 08/11/2020.

Yay! Let’s keep each other posted! It sounds like we’re on the same track. When did you send your application in?

I didn’t put my A number on any of the attached documents. It’s included in my cover letter and on the application itself wherever it’s asked for specifically.
Mailed it out yesterday and fingers crossed there are no issues!
Will update my timeline accordingly
Good luck everyone!
Sent mine out yesterday, too!
Hoping for no RFEs and quick adjudications for all!!!

Hey all!
I received my EAD/AP card a week before my green card interview, so it really was of no use to me. Weird that it took 6 month for both!
A quick update on the interview:
we had ours on Wednesday. It was very informal. He barely asked us questions. Just went over the AOS form, looked at our pictures and cracked a bunch of jokes.
One important thing to note: he did not approve us on the spot! He said he had to go through the info and would let us know if we were missing anything. He said that we would hear back in a month at the latest, but when I checked the USCIS app 3 hours later it said “card is being produced” and then yesterday the status changed to “Approved”.
When we left the interview, I was panicked because we were not approved on the spot! Every portland review said that couples were approved at the end of the interview and told to expect their cards in 7-10 days. I guess all
interviewers are different!
Best of luck to all!

According to the USCIS website, the wait time reported for AOS at the Portland branch is 8.5-15.5 months, so I guess we got lucky!
Just now, Yasser&Neveen said:That's why you already received an interview date maybe we need to move
I dunno if that’s entirely accurate. I think we got lucky hahaha

Hi all,
I received my interview notice yesterday!!!! (My NOA date was May 11th)
My case status on the app changed to “case is ready to be scheduled for an interview” 8 days ago. Still hasn’t been updated to reflect that I have an interview scheduled.
Still just says “fingerprint review complete” for my EAD and “case received” for my AP, but I guess I won’t be needing them if all goes well!
Fingers crossed for the rest of you!

Damn all these misinformations in the entire forum! I ended up booking a medical in half an hour, and I was a K1 with a prior medical, now preparing for my AOS interview.
So now I am hearing I don't need it after all?
Please do let me know if you find out any info!
I had my medical in January 2018 and my interview is October 2018, so I am under the impression that I don’t need to have another medical done, since it’s within the year mark! Fingers crossed, as I just found out about my interview and have very little time to have another medical done!
Thanks!!!

HI guys,
I may be having a blonde moment here, but did anyone else's case number on tracker on CEAC give this message? It's under immigrant visa and I wasn't aware they assign an interview date;- is that correct??!
Hang in there everyone who's waiting for their case number at NVC, took us 7 weeks to get ours!
Holly
Mine actually said that too, even though we actually have to book our own interview in Canada. Not sure about your consulate though.

How long did you wait after getting NOA2 before you started calling NVC?
I waited about a week because I had heard that some people get it in 10 days or so. But it was not the case with May filers sadly. Looks like it took 6-8 weeks for all of us.
So, we pretty much called everyday for almost 2 months (except weekends hahaa)

hey when did u got your case number and howvu knw your case received by your consulate. u said u got ur case number yesterday..?
I called the consulate everyday after 6 pm their time. After 6 weeks, they asked me to
send a scan of my NOA2 so they could look into what happened to my file. I never heard back from them but I still called everyday. About 5 days later we called and they told me they received the case and to call back in two weeks to get the case number, but that we could call everyday if we wanted to. We called the next day and they said they hadn’t assigned a case number yet, then all of a sudden we got an email from NVC with our case number stating that our file was in transit.
Hope this helps!

Did you figure out the answer to this? I just entered my case number into the tracker, but it doesn't show up yet.
Did you enter it under immigrant visa? Cause that’s the one that worked for me.
Also, I didn’t use my WAC, I used the new number that is specific to my consulate (starts with MTL for Montreal Consulate).
I’m sure it hasn’t been inputted yet. You could call NVC tomorrow to inquire maybe.
Best of luck

Question for my VJ family , does anyone have a rough idea about how long it takes from receiving Noa 2 approval to interview!
It’s really hard to estimate because past cases often made it to interview a lot faster than most recent cases. I used to rely on those cases to understand my own timeline, but things really started to get delayed for May filers.
To use mine as a timeline, I received NOA2 on a October 26th, it arrived at my consulate today, December 20th. So approximately 2 months to consulate and then not sure how far out my interview will be, but I’m assuming late January to mid-February. So, it’s seemingly like 3-4 months from NOA2 to interview, at least for me.
I hope that helps

Thanks for the clarification. I am relieved that it is only checklist. Can you schedule medical and visa interview after it reaches consulate (say in 20 to 30 days) or wait till you send packet 3 checklist or packet 4?
For some reason, I can only find packet for online for India: https://photos.state.gov/libraries/india/521916/K1 pkt info/K1 pkt 4 July.pdf

Well, I'm coming to learn that the Packet 3 requirements are Consulate specific, so you may have look up Packet 3 for yours!
For Canada, we have to wait till we received packet 4 from the Consulate before we can schedule anything.

This is the link for Packet 3 in Canada: https://ca.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/27/2016/07/Packet3Instructions-K1.pdf

Oh wow! It's completely different at my embassy! We need to send a shitton of stuff to them before we get packet 4 and before we can schedule anything!
Ah, I didn't realize it was embassy specific! If you google "Packet 3 K1" + your country (I googled Packet 3 K1 Canada) a specific one for that country should come up.

Yep, I wonder what changed and what made them decide to hold on to approved petitions for more than a month...And I also wonder if te timeline will keep getting worse or if it'll be better :/ It's just really upsetting having to wait 7 months for NOA2 only to be met with 2 months of waiting for NVC...
I complete agree ! My fiance and I both felt more discouraged during the NVC wait then the NOA2 because we had already waited SO long and then weren't expecting it to take another 2 months from there. In fact, at the 6 week mark, the people at NVC said they were surprised our file hadn't arrived and that they might have lost our file. They asked us to send a scan of it to them. Then, when we called, they told us they had no record of our NOA2 anywhere. We were in panic mode.
So glad that it's finally arrived in Montreal, but I will not feel at ease until we book the interview!

Did you print the confirmation page of the DS-160 and scan it or it has an option to attach it to an email?
There was an option for them to email the confirmation page to you, so I did that, then I just dowloaded it and attached it to the email I sent the consulate.
You can also save as a .PDF when you're finished or print and scan it.
