Husbandandwife reacted to Lil bear in I-131 form
The OMB 2018 in the top right corner is an internal US government date .. not relevant to you as a user ... the accepted form is the version located on the USCIS page you visited. Download that and the information PDF and you are good to go

From your link: "Other immediate relatives for whom there is no limit in the number of available green cards include parents and children (under 21 and unmarried) of U.S. citizens."

don't immediately sign the divorce papers. get a lawyer and explain your situation, your lawyer should be able to delay the divorce until you take your oat.

Yes I131 and I765 are free with I485.
Sorry I was wrong about the I130a. That's for alien spouses only. You wont need that.

Today I became an American Citizen.
The oath ceremony in Los Angeles was so beautiful and excited. I waited a long time for it and I couldn’t hold my tear.
Did you have any update on your case ?

Thank you so much. It’s a relief.
On feb 7th USCIS sent me an email that said the oath as scheduled. After 3 or 4 days I received the letter scheduling it for. Feb 20.

My Phone was about to blow up a couple of minutes back with flooding of so many Text Messages and Emails about status updates for both ROC approvals and N400 approvals/In-line for OATH Ceremony. My Interview was 2 days ago (02/12).
One last hurdle to cross.

Had my COMBO interview today. Pretty nice officer and was quite thorough. IO Collected Updated Documents from me to prove ongoing marriage and told me that i would not receive new green card.
6 questions asked:
Governor Of California
President of the United States
Cause of Civil war
House Of Rep Voting Members
Number of Senators
President during WorldWar 1.
Read:
who can vote:
Write:
Citizens can vote
Got all 6 correct but still got a "decision could not be made" which was the first thing IO said to us when IO called us in for the interview because of my pending ROC.
Back to waiting.

Husbandandwife reacted to Santos12 in Divorcing between N400 and Oath
Stay calm. Don’t trust everything you see on the internet. Especially those comments from attorneys online. They try to scare you with the worst case scenario so you can hire them. Everything will settle and hopefully you’ll have your oath ceremony very soon.

Husbandandwife reacted to Santos12 in Divorcing between N400 and Oath
Policies have changed. You need to be married until the oath ceremony, but not in a marital union. Meaning you may still be married on paper but not living together.
USCIS has posted a memorandum. The marital union is required only at the time of application. Check this link:
https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/Updates/20181012-MaritalUnion.pdf
You’ll be able to be naturalized since divorce cases can take months to finalize so by the time you take the oath of allegence you’ll still be legally married.

Husbandandwife reacted to Norajoe in N-400 April 2018 Filers
So I just wanted to give you an update on my case...I applied for naturalization in April 2018 based on the 3 years rule, and I had my ROC still pending. I had my interview in LA California last week, my husband couldn't come with me as he was working out of town, the officer didn't ask about him at all...she was nice, and I passed all the civic questions, and the English test. She went over all my application again, and then I gave her my marriage certificate, and my son's birth certificate as she was asking about him, and the tax return of the last 2 years and she made copies of all of these documents. But of course she couldn't make a decision on my case as the ROC was still pending( I applied in May2017) but she said she is gonna give my case to her supervisor so they can expedite my ROC, so she can make a decision on my n-400, I asked her how long it might take? she said anywhere from 4-6 weeks. As of yesterday I got the approval for both the ROC and my n-400 naturalization. It just took them a week to finalize them both. I'm still waiting for my oath ceremony letter. Good luck everyone.

Husbandandwife reacted to Haji delco in N400 Oath Notice
Relax my friend nothing to worry about. You have done the hard part. If you’re clean and have nothing to cause them to open a motion against you for ineligibility then you’re fine. Sometimes when IO gives you approval recommendation, the supervisor that will review your application may be in leave or busy so until he gets a chance to see it you will have to wait.
1. files when you are being interviewed are at the local USCIS office and they don’t schedule oath ceremony, NBC schedules oaths and until the local office forwards it to them you will not be scheduled.
2. There is a scheduling queue, millions of other applicants are applying for immigration benefits so even if the local office forwards it early, depending on your office’s jurisdiction that performs the oath ceremony and their frequency, that will determine when you will have your oath.
3. USCIS is a bureaucratic organisation and they are in no rush whatsoever, and WE as applicants are privileged to be granted citizenship, it’s not our birthright. There a statutory requirements (120days) when you get done with interview to when you get your oath ceremony. Until that statutory period elapses, there’s nothing you can do to make them expedite your case.
4. Worst case scenario Sometimes IOs finish with your case and store them either because they are on leave or some reason unbeknownst to me and they might forget about your file.
youve come a long way. I know the end is near yet faraway and want to hold that passport in your hand. Just continue to exercise patience, pray if you believe in prayers and sit tight, it will come very soon cos it seems like you’ve only been waiting for a month.

Husbandandwife reacted to thilimaa in N-400 April 2018 Filers
Hey!
Yeah, now you're in line for oath ceremony and the time frame varies. Just have to wait and that's it
Mine said something like "you showed up for your interview" then "case was approved" then "in line for oath ceremony" and then "oath ceremony notice was mailed" but all these 4 stages took 17h.
The ROC changed from something regarding the interview to "New Card Is Being Produced".
We are almost there!!

Husbandandwife reacted to thilimaa in N-400 April 2018 Filers
You mean, from "In Line For Oath Ceremony" to "Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed"? If you are in line for oath ceremony they first need to schedule your ceremony and then they will send you a notice with date, place and time but only then. I did not get any document (online) regarding the "In Line For Oath Ceremony" only for the "Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed". It took them 17h to move me from "In line" to "Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed" but because I got the last update today, the letter hasn't showed up online yet.
I believe that the time frame depends on the local offices so it varies. It took me only 17h but I've heard of people waiting like 10-15 days or more, but like I said, it really depends.

Had my combo interview (ROC + N400) yesterday around 9:30am in San Jose, CA. In the end, I got a letter saying that they couldn’t make a decision because of my ROC, that they would have to take car with of that first.
On my way back home from the interview, around 3pm I got an update saying that I was in line for oath ceremony.
Around 9pm I got another update saying “Card in production” for the ROC
8am today I got another update saying that they scheduled my interview. Now I’m just waiting for the interview letter to pop up online.
All that happened in less than 24h which is awesome! Super excited here, haha!
