Guys it’s happened! It’s in TRANSIT ! 
now the wait to change embassies begins ! 

My fiancee called the USCIS today again and spoke with another rude tier 2 officer... anyway this one was useful and told us our case had been sent on January 10 to the NVC. 
 

Still nothing today. This is so frustrating. 

Same here. Every step it takes it’s supposed to be faster a little but then it’s just slow I’m so sick of it. NVC is taffed and answering phones until midnight so you can call and ask still. 

I'm on the same dates as you and same situation; 11/21 NOA2; ours arrived at NVC on 01/11; and we are also Canada! Our packet must literally be next to yours, lol. I called a couple hours ago and still no case number. Its definitely strange because others who arrived on NVC on 01/11 and -even- some on 01/12 received their case numbers already. Based on all my research on timelines on here it's kind of normal for that to happen. Some people get lucky and get it right away, and then wait a week for the NVC to ship it. Or it ships right away. Others like you and I may wait a week for our case number, and then it'll ship the next day, or something. Kind of all over the place.
 
On the plus side, NVC did tell me that Canada K1 petitions are all done electronically, so they are "shipped" (electronically) immediately after the case number. Hope that's true.

I should have asked her about it on the phone, maybe I'll call back again and confirm. It hasn't even been a week since they said they got it but I've lost all my patience from the USCIS wait lol. Hopefully some progress will be made this week. 

Yeah, NVC Research seems to be sending crazy emails out and about to K1 filers. I and another poster on here got the same email saying that our case was received and ready to accept fees, forms, documents. When in reality K1 filers don’t do any of that at NVC. I called NVC all day today and someone finally told me to disregard that email that it was sent by mistake. 
 
If NVC says they have your file, my guess is your email was a mistake too. 

Congrats. That means you have your case number and can now check ceac to see when it gets to the embassy, schedule interview and medical. 

Yes, they told me that it was received on the 11th. And USCIS told my fiance it was mailed on the 5th. But then I got an email yesterday from nvcresearch saying it was still at CSC. Hopefully that was just an error. 

No NVC number yet, just said it was there. And USCIS told my fiance that they sent it out on Jan 5th.

I’m sure it’ll  be fine tomorrow and you’ll either get your number or find out it’s still at USCIS but NVC is saying, “give us their file”
 
FYI, I got emails for cases that were not mine on more than one occasion.

They are probably just following up with the initial email, or its just automated. i got an email from USCIS on Friday stating they forwarded to NVC but the following day on Saturday i received an email from NVC stating CSC still had it. I think tomorrow when they open up, everything will be sorted out.

Finally got to schedule my interview in Montreal Canada today.
 
Case was READY on Dec 31 so I sent my packet 3. Got an email back saying at this time we are reviewing your case and don't need you to send it just yet. On Jan 9, I seen my case last updated date update on the CEAC website (so figured they were working on my case) so i sent packet 2 again lol. They also worked on my case yesterday and today i seen the case last updated dates change. Finally recieved the packet 4 today with my interview link. For my fellow Canadians, all interviews are held on Wednesdays only. And there were available dates for Jan 31, and every Wednesday in Febuary and March. So your time will come guys.. All the best. lots of waiting but it'll come.  

How did you get a date for your delivery? As we called and asked for a tier 2 and he said he had to put in a request with CSC to find anything out for us , even though we thought they would have all this on the system lol! It just keeps getting worse and worse 

My original NOA2 was 9/18/17 and expired last week.  I had to have USCIS send me a new NOA2 just so my case wouldn't expire before it got mailed to the NVC.  I have been waiting since 9/18 for my case to get MAILED to the NVC.  I feel your pain 

HEE HEE....we have the same timeline except you got NOA2 a few days earlier than us. I know they scan these files and can look at the computer and see right where it is. They just refuse to tell us. I am doing the same as you....I call the NVC 3 times a week, submitted a query to NVCRESEARCH (what a joke)..."we don't know anything either"- Carlos....I also submit those online queries that take about 3 days to be told to wait 6 weeks.....whoooaaaaa....way over 6 weeks here a*sholes.....starting to get bummed again. The high of getting NOA2 was over in a few weeks...now gone completely.

It does make sense. However, I will put my two cents in, on totally different note. I believe this comes from the top, very top with the orange hair. Order was "slow it down", or the order was a good old "audit". They all had to stop what they were doing, and for a month go through millions of papers and such, just to show they are doing what they are doing. After it was done, it was "ok, carry on". And it will happen again. Very well it could be a point where they wanted to stop 2000 - 5000 people from coming in to US in this calendar year, so they can show their voting base "look what we did this year, we cut it down so much, like we promised in the campaign", and then they all celebrate like they did something.
 
For all US citizens here, there is one vote you take, and be very wise about it. If you live to age of 80, you will have about 15 opportunities to vote (depends when you turn 18 to be able to vote). I am apolitical, do not belong to any Party, nor I ever will, but I do vote for the most qualified person at the time. Please, use your 15 votes wisely. There are levels of Government, so you can show how displeased you are on lower levels too. Do your job, do your civic duty, help this great country stay just that - great.    

Holy #######, how are they so unreliable?? The backlog I can understand, but there is no excuse for not being able to provide accurate and consistent information to the people paying for this shitty service.

We called USCIS again today to make sure the other tier2 didn't lie to us about our petition getting sent. 
 
Shocker. It wasn't true. Our petition hasn't been sent yet, NOA2 Nov 7th.
 
I am SO mad. They literally lied to us!!! The guy took 10 mins to check something and then LIED about it.
 
At least now we know we won't be getting our case number any time soon.... Great.

Hey guys, I have a not so great update from NVC: 
 
I called today and gave them my receipt number, and as expected, they said it's not there and to send an email to NVC Research. I said I already did that, and that NVC research hadn't replied to me yet, but that I did my own research and finally found out USCIS mailed out my petition on Thursday, December 14th. She then said "it can take up to 6 weeks for NVC to receive the petition FROM THE POINT USCIS MAILS IT TO US". 
 
Not sure if she's a broken record, or if this is actually true; however, I think it's probably not true since in the past we saw people getting case numbers about 2 weeks after they were approved, and I'm guessing these cases were shipped out shortly after they were approved... 
 
UGH I seriously want to punch something I'm so incredibly fed up with this horrible process.

I have been approved!!! Found the NOA2 approval letter in the mailbox today  It was approved on December 11th.
 
Online status did not update still shows received, oddly enough it did not show up in my informed delivery email notifications also.

@Naes You were right it would just show up one day without updates.

I'm worried that since USCIS is waiting so long to send the cases, it'll create a big backlog at NVC when when finally send everything over. They act like they're doing us some kind of favor instead of respecting the fact that we are paying customers who deserve some kind of standards with the service they provide. I was so relieved to be done with dealing with USCIS for now when we got our NOA2 but now they wanna hold our cases hostage. I've had it up to here with their incompetent, inconsiderate asses.
