I don't think so, I would try not to get it too early before the interview, usually the documents need to be recent.
Ok thanks, how did you get yours?

here is your country's portal - http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Mexico&cty=Juarez which I found by clicking on Mexico in your profile.
I just looked at it and under Packet 3 information - 5. tells you where to obtain your police certificate. it provides a website.
also you can also ask the question in your country's portal and someone familiar with you process can answer that question for you. but typically you would get it from legal/court office in your country.
Thanks for the info, didn't know i can click on Mexico lol

Hi Mexican beneficiary here as well, you need what is called " carte de no antecedents penates" it's pretty common some jobs here in Mexico ask for that sometimes.
Hey there thanks for the info. Are there any k1 visa specifics for getting one?

My fiance and I are trying to find out what we need for police check in Mexico. She lives in Tamaulipas. are there any specifics for getting a police check for a k1 visa?

You need a police certificate or certified police records for any country you've lived in for 6 months or more. This document has to be provided to the Embassy.
Thanks, my fiance is saying that there's specific requirements for a visa and I'm trying to convince her otherwise. Anybody from Mexico got a police check? How did you get one?

Was the RFE an easy fix?
you usually need your number from NVC before being able to book your medical. Each embassy is different.
Good Luck🙂
Easy fix, i didn't provide enough proof for the 2 year period before filling the petition so i got all my tickets and passport stamps and send it up with a letter explaining every year before filing and how my fiance and I visited each other. Thanks for the info, guess i gotta wait for nvc then

Hi guys, so got my rfe 30 oct, replied next day. I'm working on her ds160 now and affidavit of support, what do i need in order to get a scheduled interview date? Gonna try to be proactive to calm my nerves

I have had an RFE is not too bad to be honest. Delayed me by 15 days. Let me know if you have any questions regarding it when you find out what it is for! You should be receiving it in the mail soon.
Here is my timeline with the RFE:
September 25th: email notification and tracker update
September 28th: Received hard copy in the mail (mailed it back same day)
September 29th: email notification and tracker update that USCIS has received the response
October 10th: NOA2 notice date
If there is anything you can think of that you would have gotten an RFE for I can recommend preparing it in advance so you can send it back more quickly!
Congrats on the Expedite!
Thanks for the good info! And yes I'm doing that exactly, prepping everything so that I just pickup the hard copy and resend it. Are there any special instructions that i need to wait for including in the rfe hard copy?

My Congresswoman told me that USCIS told her that i got a RFE
better than nothing i guess. Where my rfe personnel? Any tips on this? Oh and I haven't received it, they mailed it to me on the 19th but it never showed on any updates. I guess it's gonna take a while living in Hawaii. Good news is my Congresswoman pushed to expedite my case due to military deployment

Correct me someone if I am wrong. But as you’re technically married(legally or religiously, doesn’t matter) the k1 visa essentially becomes the wrong visa to enter The United States in. You’re entering to get married. So, I would think it’s better to put it off until you get married first in the US. You can be denied at the POE too even with the visa in hand if they get to know you have had a church wedding because then you’re committing visa fraud.
Makes sense, better to play it safe then. Thanks

It is a sweet thing, but answer is NO. Wait until after the interview, as that act would be considered "lying" in your petition. It gets frowned upon, and it likely may be grounds for denial of your petition.
Yeah that's the intent, after the interview and we have the visa physically we will do all this.
-
Hey Ladies and Gentlemen, I have a question hopefully you guys can help me out. So I'm the petitioner and my fiance and I were discussing having a church ceremony in Mexico once we have the k1 visa, that way we have her family there, after we will cross and get married on the court in united states with my family. Will this affect the visa in any way?

Hey guys do you call the uscis number to talk to a tier 2 officer?

Yeah man its crazy, I see that your country is Philippines. I've been seeing more from there being approved than Mexico, i don't know if country makes a difference but it feels like it. Its all sporadic and i can't even follow their pattern.

I really hope ill hear something from anywhere next week. I hope the best for you and yours. I've been trying to get my fiance to the United States for a long time

No none yet, I really wanted to but he doesn’t let me. He has lost all faith but I tell him that faith is the last thing that dies. So I keep praying we here something soon. Oh I hope we get the interview date in December too ! I’m planning to spend the holidays out there with him so hopefully we get a response soon so we can get that scheduled.
Your in the military ? There isn’t a way that maybe you can get yours expedited ?
Yeah same with my fiance the only way i can help her is for her to not think about it anymore cause we planned a lot for the holidays. As far as being expedited, only if I'm on orders to deploy that they can push to expedite mine. But as far as my Congress rep told me she's gonna try to do something. Were at 165 days and I'm just getting impatient cause all the the cases around mine are getting progress.
-
@Loverisaa have you made plans yet? It's hard to do anything lol Im hoping to get a interview date in December since that's my military leave dates
but it's taking long for me

Hope this is helpful
Hi there, congratulations to you and your fiance and thanks for your helpful information. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind:
Is it true you can wait a couple of days there in Juarez and manually pick up the visa from the consulate?
Was your fiance given a choice to get shots now or in United States?
Was October the earliest you can schedule your appointment?
