Typical USCIS, cashed our check as soon as they received it on Nov 1, then 3 weeks later they denied the application for lack of payment. Then they added more time to the allowable review window.

264 days and still nothing 😐

We are 206 days (receipt date Nov 1). We would have been eligible to make an inquiry Tuesday after Memorial Day but, alas, USCIS just moved the goal post another 45 days. So now we cannot make and enquiry until we have waited 251 days.

My K2 daughter will turn 21 mid December 2019. Anyone know any thing about "aging out" for AOS? Hopefully this is not a concern but the estimated timelines are sooooo far out now.
Day 201 here.

Are anyone's cases through the National Benefits Center? Day 187 for us. Attempted "outside normal processing time" and discovered ours is at NBC which is 5-7 months processing time

Hope you don't mind me replying! Some people do get lucky to get an interview and their GC before EAD. However, most people do tend to get their EAD/AP prior to GC - just really depends on processing time of your local field office for GC interviews. I just recently got approved for EAD/AP and with Las Vegas it'll be a looooong time before I even get an interview. Not sure if that answers your questions.
Yes, that helps - thanks. So when members on this thread speak of their wait times they are usually speaking of the EAD? The AOS is years out from what the USCIS estimated times show

They are not processed simultaneously. AOS time depends on your local field office.
Does EAD normally preceded the AOS?

Hi all, new to this thread. We are K1/K2, married Sept 22 2018. Our applications for AOS & Employment Receipt date was November 1, 2018. Fingerprinted was done shortly after application receipt. Are AOS & Employment processed simultaneously? "Ready to Schedule Interview" is April 1, 2019 - nothing posted since. 167 days now. Any advice/thoughts?

We finished all 3 exams today....blood and urine in the morning....xray in afternoon.
We were scheduled for Medical exam Friday night at 19:30, but doc emailed this afternoon and pushed appointment to Monday afternoon because xray will not be ready....we have the embassy interview on Tuesday morning.
Traveling to appointments in Rio.....
Our morning travel between 10am and Noon.....the city is slow with many cars and lights....allow extra time.....consulate to doctor in Leblon about 45 min.
We also traveled same route at 2pm with no traffic and about 15min travel time.
We have a contact for a personal driver recommended to us that has been wonderful with very reasonable rates and drove us and waited at each appointment...I will post contact info once we are complete with his services on Tuesday....(I don't want him to be overwhelmed with service calls which could effect our schedule.....lol)
Taxis are expensive....you really need a trustworthy Uber/private driver.
So far, Rio has been a good experience....really all due to being personally driven to all these exams....
Otherwise, Rio is large, crowded and confusing to negotiate the roadways and congestion.
See you Tuesday early!

And your updated letter of intention to marry (not sure if that's how we call), the same you did for NOA1, signed by you. Either way I'll follow any answer you get because my fiance need to send me these docs signed and I want to be sure it's only these 2 😁
Good luck!
Good point, we have that too. We are presenting further evidence of "continuing relationship" - pictures, boarding passes, etc. of times we have seen one another since filing the I-129(f). I don't think that is required but probably a good idea for those that have connecting during this looooooong period.

Do I understand correctly, one copy of my I-134 "Affidavit of Support" will be provided by her at her interview? IOW, I'm not required to have already submitted it online?
Making sure before I get on the plane to Brazil!
So excited for all of us

haha - so did ours!
I assume you have not received "The Letter". I'm about to book my flight, hotel. Do you think we even need it? Medical scheduled for next week, interview is scheduled.

Wooo-Hoo! Praise God, out status jumped to from "In Transit" to "Ready" early this morning. Rio, here we come

I'm sure we will meet - the time slots are close together.
I believe we will be staying in Rio, a day or two before the weekend and over the weekend.
Assuming the doctor will be stacking us all to process in the few days before the 6th.
We sent doc an email....waiting to hear on the appointment..
I will arrive in Rio Sat. the 3rd from Dallas. She will be doing medical the week prior to that I assume. Our appt. slot is 7:40AM.
Lets hope our status changes to "Ready". We noticed the online appointment app lists the DS-160 status as "In Transit". Woo-hoo! Getting close.

Yes.....choose this.
She will pay and select interview date
Success. 6 March
Thanks to our fellow Brazilians!! Perhaps we will meet

We now have the same March 6 interview date.
I figured out the problem.
After registration - she added herself into the "visa group" but did not select the option "register a K-VISA interview."
Once deleting and adding again as a K-Interview - the payment and appointment became available.
If I recall - only 3 days in march are offered. 6, 27 and I think 28
thanks for the help and for posting - because had he not been successful, I guess we would still be waiting for an embassy letter or embassy READY.
Now Brasil knows what to do...Rs
We are the same "In Transit" date as you and have not received our "letter" either. I'm trying to hold her hand (she is the Brazilian beneficiary) to schedule our appointment. I believe she will check this box?
Do you pay online?

Nope : /
I went to my congressmen's office in person. I spoke a woman who had extensive experience with immigration issues. I had already filled out a report online. We talked for 30 minutes. She said she would make contact for me herself. 4 days later, on Sunday no less, I got an email with our NOA2. I think it may have help that I didn't do this online.
I used to live in SLC, engaged to a Brazilian

I'm not actually sure. We weren't able to check the case tracker every day after we received the e-mail that NVC was forwarding our case to Rio on 1/17. However, on the case tracker it says the last update was on 1/18, so if that's when they changed it to "Ready" it would have only been one day after receiving the e-mail.
They are telling me that we can do nothing until we receive a letter from NVC outlining the next steps to take. Did you receive such a letter? We feel like we should pay the visa fee or something. Already submitted the DS-160. Appreciate your feed back!

Hi everyone! For those of you that are going through or have gone through the process in Brazil at the RDJ embassy, how long did it take you to receive the e-mail from the embassy after it left NVC? Our status on the CEAC tracker has been "Ready" for over two weeks and still no word.
How long did it take to get to "Ready"? We are "at NVC"

Hey Brasil2 - We are Dallas/Brasil also!
November 2018 AOS Filers, Part 2
in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted
-We applied Nov 1, 2018, fingerprinted Nov 8, 2018, noted as "Ready to be Scheduled for Interview" on April 1, 2019, no updates since.
-We finally have the work permits.
-Based on where we live we expect the interview will be at the Dallas, TX office.
Questions:
1- When is the I-485 moved from National to local office?
2- What seems to be the real-world time interval after "ready to schedule interview" and actual interview?
Thoughts are appreciated, thanks!
