Our Noa1 was received 24 April and I see the approval for Noa2 was sent out on Sept 5 but we have not seen a hard copy yet so didn't check it until just now. WOOHOOO!!!

Congratulations to @Kristina&Ty !     They have interview done today , visa approved ! 

If you have been flagged for the sputum test (I was too, came back negative) go ahead and proceed with it as you have already paid for it. If negative that's good. If this was the cause of the misunderstanding and break down of the relationship, it might still be saved. Most of those who undergo the sputum test turn out to be negative. 
 
If the result is positive, then proceed with the treatment. If you are sick you will need treatment. Your priority at this point is your health and well being. If your fiance cannot even stick with you through this trying period (and tb is nothing compared to say cancer), then consider it bullet dodged. There's a reason marital vows include through sickness and in health.

Hey guys iam the petitioner ive been following along patiently waiting for my Noa2 
I was on video chat with my mom and got the app status case changed . Like holy ####### OMG OMG OMG i was exspecting a long delay because you know thats the story of my life. But at 143 days case active i was approved my NOA2 , i sent my application in april 21st . Iam in Massachusetts and myFiance resides in Jamaica. I havent seen him since nov2016 ive been saving money so we can have a good start from he comes here. Its been almost a year since ive seen him!!! Ill be attending his interview with him just because of the long gap inbetween time frames but i put together a solid packet. I didnt get a RFE i decides to do the application on my own because i realized no lawyer is going to put as much effort into this as i would.  And my highest level of education completed was 8th grade. As long as you do your research you can save the money. This is a proud accomplished moment and i can not wait to see my fiance again!!! Omg its been a long road of ups and downs. Moments of thinking maybe its just never going to come,  ive had mutiple people drop out on being our co sponsor . Were still waiting on his aunt to finish the cosponsor paperwork. My anxiety tells me to worry and that what if she our last hope drops out on us too. But the faith in me is like this HAS to work out. God knows hes the man for me

So we just received our NOA2 in the post. We were actually approved on the 7th, hardcopy sent out on the 8th, case tracker updated 11th as well as hardcopy received. 
 
Pretty impressed that it got to NC so quickly from California. Can anyone explain what the alien number on the hardcopy is used for please? 
 
Also my son (k2) petition isn't mentioned on the NOA2, is that normal?

Ok, so I'm in the train back home from my medical. Nothing much to tell really. It took me a bit over two hours, but that was mostly waiting and some walking because you have to go to a clinic that is 1.7kms away for the x rays.
 
It seems to me the medical is a bit of a joke, sorry. The doctor made me questions to fill the standard form that were mostly just to say no: drugs, tobacco, alcohol, mental diseases, suicidal tendencies...
Then he barely checked my breathing and throat and stomach... And blood pressure that was a bit high. I didn't even have to take off any clothes, except for the shoes for measuring height and weight.
 
The nurse just drew my blood and copied my vaccines into the official form. I was fine on everything, but they charged me an extra of 35€ to prove I had varicella when I was a kid. So if you can manage to have your doctor making a report saying you already had varicella, then do that, because a scar didn't suffice on my case.
Then x rays and that's it. Well, it's done.

Hello. It's my own question that I come up but I would love to share it.
 
1. Has the case been touched already? 
2. If yes, is there an officer assigned to it? 
3. Is the background check done? For both petitioner and beneficiary 
4. Is the name check done? 
5.When can we expect an update from our case? 
 
Those are the questions that we submitted to them. And we got an answer that an officer was assigned and we should get a response on the mail soon. (Didn't state if it's approval or RFE) They respond Aug 29.

Hello. Don't give up!! You can do it. 
You know what we did? We kept on calling them even if we get the same answer every time. Almost every week we call. So what we did on one of our calls we had series of questions to Tier 2 like 'is the background check done' 'is the officer assigned to our documents' we come up with like 5 questions that's when he gaves us a service request number since then we got a response from email about those questions and we found out that an officer is assigned then we said ok we'll wait after 1 week we didn't hear anything I ask him to call again so they said oh you're done with BG check you should get a response soon that was aug 31 I thnk (2 days after our anniversary) Sep 2 we got approved as per the notice letter but our app got updated on sep 5th. 
 
PS: Not all Tier2 gives service request try to come up with questions. Once you have the service request you can create an email then add those questions. They don't respond within 24 hrs but they will respond for sure. This process is a long one but it will be worth it. One day you wll just laugh at those moments you had when you were waiting. I hope this week coming you will get something. I will be  very happy for you!

There is actually more to the announcement.
They are replacing the Tuberculosis Skin test with IGRA which is a new and more reliable type of blood test used to detect Tb.
This is great news as some people get held up for weeks if not months due to possible TB which many times it turns out they do not have as the skin test was not
that reliable. So this extra fee will save some folks even further wait.

Well this is a surprise....
 
Opened my mailbox today and there was my approval letter from USCIS !! Only 2 days after I got notified of status change via text and their online status tracker. Cool. 
 
And what's even more surprising is I had just last week notified them of a change of address, and this mail showed up at my new address. 
 
My faith in government has been restored

I've checked the website today and our case was approved yesterday! no mail yet. I'm so happy! took 146 days.

Well, I got the RFE Package sent back into CSC this morning. Overnight USPS and Guaranteed delivery by 15:00, so here we go to the black hole again  let the waiting begin all over again, but I am hopeful that we will have the golden ticket soon. Anyone know what time pick up is at the post office? lol
