So we are finally scheduled for an interview!!!! I am a little confused about the Form I-693 and vaccination supplement. My husband completed the medical exam prior to receiving K1 (completed medical exam 2/2017) and then upon entry completed missing vaccinations (vaccination supplement), which we sent in with AOS application on 8/16/17. Our interview is scheduled for 8/28/18. Does he need a new medical and I-693?

You filed in August 2017, right? The medical is valid 1 year from application date. So you should still be good because your interview is within that 1 year mark.

My wife had her medical April 2017. Our interview was July 2018 and we did not have any problems. My wife did not even do the supplemental vaccinations. She just did the minimum required vaccines.

Make sure to bring the medical envelop he got from Feb 2017 just in case they ask for it. Our officer did not ask for it even though I have it. The officer stated she already has copy of it.

Good luck with the interview. Let us know the good news when you find out.

Yaaay congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (L) I just looked at your timeline. 1.5 years from K1 to green card! That's a long freaking time but now you're done and don't have to deal with USCIS for a bit. Your officer sounds super nice. I hope we all get IO's like her.

Thanks. Yes it was a long journey but well worth it. Yay no more thinking USCIS for atleast 21 months!

Good luck to you. Hope you hear some good news soon. 🙏🙏.

Hey guys.. I've been patiently waiting for my interview to be scheduled since Mid oct of 2017.

My case status has been "ready to schedule for an interview" for the longest time (since oct 2017 like I said)

    and then it changed to:

At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283 for additional information.

In Late April or early May... And ever since then the status hasn't changed, so it's been almost two months.

I just want know if there's anyone who experienced this and got your interview scheduled? how long did it take?.. want to know how soon my interview would happen finally...:( If it gets too late, I need to do the medical thing again because of the 1 year expiration thing :/ Thanks Guys!

Mine was saying ready to be scheduled since October 2017 as well. Then it changed to interview scheduled on June 9 then got the interview letter today.

My wife’s medical has expired already (completed april 2017) but I think it is still valid because I think the 1 year expiration clock starts on your date of AOS application which is August 2017. So we will not redo it because I don’t want to spend extra money if we dont have to.

I believe all our interview dates are all coming soon as we approach the 1 year mark. Just hang in there. Good luck to all of us.

Hey guys! My interview went SOOOO smooth yesterday morning. The lady was so nice. I was WAY over prepared for it, and she didn't need many more documents. 10 minutes later, I got a notification saying MY CARD IS IN PRODUCTION!! WOOOOHOOO I am ALL DONE! (For 2 years) Hopefully there will be a reunion forum in 2 years for all of us reapplying! haha Good luck!

Congrats. You went to Newark, right? What documents did they collect from you that were not previously sent?

I got the interview letter today for July 19 and some of the things listed to bring to the interview I already sent before. Should I bring them again? Like affidavit of support, birth certificate. How did you deal with the medical? My wife’s medical was done in April 2017 and we have the sealed envelop at home. I am thinking I will just bring this sealed envelop to the interview.

Any tips? Any hard questions? Thanks for the help and congratulations again.

To my dear friends...I do have some news (good or bad I don't know)

Told you that on Tuesday (Nov 21) I did get an e-mail from the local congressman's office that he has submitted an enquiry with USCIS for my EAD. So I guess the following things have started to happen...

    This morning on the app

the status of my first SR changed to "On November 25, 2017, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number SR1-----MSC, was completed."

the status of my expedite request changed to "On November 25, 2017, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number T1F---MSC, was assigned to an officer for response."

Also I have received an e-mail from DHS-USCIS-NBC

"Upon receipt of your request for expeditious processing, your case was reviewed and a determination was made that we need additional information to make a decision regarding your request. Please fax proof of a pending job offer to the following number........"

I've faxed the offer letter and now the wait begins.....Hoping to get reply on monday or tuesday

Good luck. Hopefully, you get your approval notice soon.

Hi All, I received an RFE and I'm trying to figure out how to correct it. I sent with my I-864 copies of my tax transcripts, copies of my W-2, an employment offer letter and copies of my pay-stubs where it shows my current salary. My annual salary is higher than the poverty line required, but last year I worked 6 months due to school and ended up with a low income. By the end of this year my income will be a little be under the poverty line based on my household size, and that is due to a change of salary that took place by the middle of the year. Maybe I should request another letter for immigration purposes to my employer where they shows my current annual salary which is above the poverty line for the household.

They are now requesting copies of my taxes with all supporting documents that I sent to the IRS, I filed my taxes electronically and I thought that it will be enough to send tax transcripts for the past 3 years.

Can I have anyone as the joint sponsor, even if they are not related to me, like a friend or do the join sponsor has to be a family member?

Also, could it be too late to remove dependents from the I-864, I included my husband's children who are not yet here, we were thinking of bringing them within 6 months and for that reason added them to the I-864, but if it is not too late and I could remove them from the I-864, we could try to bring them at a later time. That way I will not need a join sponsor.

    What do you guys suggest?

    Thanks!

Can you supply the tax documents they are asking you? I know you said you filed your taxes electronically but you can still print them and give them what they are asking.

I am not sure you can change your household size now and remove your step children. Why did you add them when they are not in the US yet?

You said your annual income at the end of the year will be a little below the poverty line so I suggest you look for a joint co sponsor. Anybody can do it as long as they sign the form and provide the necessary documents.

    Good luck to you.

I had the biometrics appointment yesterday - it went well. I waited for about 20 minutes, as there was a queue in the office, and the actual appointment was only about 10 minutes. I filled in a form before I went in, then had my photograph and fingerprints taken. Stress-free. :) I did take my marriage certificate to show with my passport, to prove change of surname, so it's worth taking that along with you, if your ID is still in your maiden name.

Thanks for this reminder about bringing in marriage certificate.
