Hi everyone!
My wife (USC) and I (Dutch citizen) have been dating for nearly 9 years, of which 8 long distance. We got married in September last year - and submitted the CR-1 application in September as well.
I just got Documentarily Qualified at NVC, meaning we are waiting for an interview invite at the Consulate. It's been a long and exhausting wait, but we are nearly there!
I am hoping to move in March 2023.
If there are any questions regarding the process, feel free asking those to me by tagging me here.
Goodluck! Succes!

@DutchGuy Guess this means congrats on your review?
Woke up this morning to great news!
Got DQ confirmation in my email at 05:40 local time (23:00 NVC timezone).
Submission date September 22nd for RFE.
Now we wait for the consulate appointment. Grateful that The Netherlands does not have a huge backlog. 🙏- TeeKay11, Chanel H., Ctavarez90 and 2 others

Submitted our RFE on September 22nd (Orginal W-2 forms instead of Transcript).
Hoping to get a verdict in the next few days.Unfortunately no update today.
As it just hit 17:00 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire (location of NVC), I recon there won't be any updates on my case today.
23:00 here, so to bed we go.
We keep waiting and hope for a better day tomorrow. 🙂 -

Weird, thought you don't need to upload W2 if you have transcript, only if you choose to use tax return
1 hour ago, Jordanian Bride said:Less than a year ago when the NVC phone line was still up, a member of the forum asked them why they are requesting a W2 when she’s provided them a full tax transcript, and they said they’re required now.
So I suggest everyone who has W2/1099s to upload them or to write up a letter explaining they don’t have them otherwise.
I am not entirely sure what the difference is, but do recall my wife first being confused and then pissed as hell since she claimed they practically say the same thing?
Anyways. Here is to hoping we get news today or tomorrow! -

If you are getting the Error "The selected Case Number and Invoice Identification Number combination you entered does not match our records".
This is directed to those who recently got their welcome letter within the last week and still get the case# and IIN don't match to what they have,. They are working on it,. No need to send Public Inquiries.
Still not working, but grateful for your sharing this message. I was already worried that it was just for my case.
I'll keep trying the coming days.
EDIT: Now is working! -

Everyone keeps trying to convince me to send in a K3 because we are at 10 months of waiting. My husband said there’s no point just for us to wait it out. I’m just ready for my approval. And I haven’t seen any august filers at California Service Center get any approvals this month yet 😩
It's a very frustrating process indeed. If my wife decided to move to The Netherlands, Europe, it would legally not be allowed to take longer than 60-days.
My tip? Try not to look every day (way easier said than done), but more importantly, since you are nearing your NOA2 date, start gathering NVC required documents such as a birth certificate, police certficates/clearance and more. This will speed up the process when you get to the NVC stage since you will not have to be waiting for all those certficates.
Sidenote: Most of those certificates can not be older than 6-months, so do keep that in mind.
Goodluck! 🙌 -

Okay. Yea I check every day. Try not to but I just can’t help myself. Did you submit a k3 or no?
No K3. My theory is, the more of us that do it, the more it slows down the overall process. Those are extra cases that are opened, need to be reviewed and need to be closed.

I’m trying my best to hang in there. I’m at 10 months (311 days since NOA1) at CSC. So hoping to hear something by the end of next month at the latest. Do you have the case tracker app? Is that how you were notified of the second AR?
I have been pretty good about not checking daily, but just did my like weekly status check.
Additionally, this morning at 05:00am Chicago time, my wife was notified by email that there was an action taken regarding our case, so I knew it before she did. When looking it up it still says AR, but under the documents tab we find the approval.
I have not used any trackers. -

You applied same day as me at TSC, so my fingers are crossed mine will flip soon too.
Found the approval document under the documents tab!
I didn't expect a decision till next month, so I feel like this has come a little early.
Hang in there though, I am sure your approval is around the corner! -

Interesting - I've not heard of people being notified twice, maybe I misunderstood something. I thought, most of the time the case moves to AR once, and then its a guessing game.
Did you get this second notification by email, checking the USCIS online case tracker, or something else?
I hope it does go through for you!
It's quite common actually!
Have a look at this thread for example.
I just checked and saw that the AR's date updated from February 22nd 2022 to July 7th 2022. No notifications by email, just checked the USCIS case status website.
I'll update you and the rest of this forum tomorrow, if a decision does get made. -

How do you mean?
The first "We are actively reviewing your application" was in February.
The second notification that they are actively reviewing my application came in today, which usually happens a day before the decision is made. -

I already did 4 times.
And no response/any moves?
Sounds like you should file a Lawsuit. Not sure if I am allowed to recommend anyone but Jim Hacking (Hacking Immigration) always mentions lawsuits in his youtube videos. Sounds like that's the way forward in your case.

Congratulations mate, still waiting here, first AR Feb 20, 2022 as well. Texas Service Center, hope mine is coming too🙏🏽
I don't want to ruin your hopes, since every case is different, but I am a Texas - September filer myself. Got my AR 22 Feb.
It seems that for some odd reasons all September filers in Texas got an AR in February. However, when monitoring the approvals of TXC in a Facebook group a majority of the approvals are those who filed in March 2021. It seems like the sweet spot is exactly 11 months after filing, so I would advise to keep August 2022 for approval in your mind. I hope yourself and I are outliers though and get approved way before that.
Goodluck and fingers crossed! -
As of February 22, 2022, we are actively reviewing your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number IOE######.
PD date: September 18 2021
Service Center: TEXAS
K3 filed: NO
Exciting times. Hoping for a speedy process. -

I don’t get it. Everyone is getting approvals… im a july filer and still nothing. I just sent a k3 request
What is your Service Center?
A lot of the approvals amongst September filers come from the Nebraska Service Center. I can tell you with great assurance that the majority of September files (and probably July filers) are still waiting. -

Filed the I-130 through the USCIS portal online on the 26th and got the NOA1 the same day. Doing the process from the Netherlands, and the still sent me a letter. The wait is on.
You got the Nebraska service center, so shouldn't be too long.
Dutch filer here as well, I am at Texas SC. Filed in September - still waiting for any update -

It's just the data from VJ timelines so might not mean much. But another way to look at it is that you've beyond the point of expediated cases (which I assume you're not), and just about to get into a time where you'll realistically hear back. Hopefully you're only 2-6 months away .
That's very true! Told myself that I don't expect any movement before August.
Been together with my partner for 8 years, 7 of which long distance. Kinda struggling with the wait, the final miles are always the hardest. -

Hi all,
We've not been on this forum in much since submitting of I-130, but today I've gone down a rabbit hole today looking for guidance on when we'll hear back about our I130 (NOA1 8-Apr-21). It looks as though when being assigned a service center, Texas is a fairly short straw to pull. We've tried not to think too much about it as we're still within the 10.5 - 14 month expected wait time stated on the USCIS website.
Browsing this site I was shocked to find the Processing Times tab estimates that they're currently processing I-130s with an NOA1 date of 16-Jun-21 (8 months) which is way under the estimate on the USCIS website. I decided to go digging through the timeline search to see if this was really true.
I've attached a diagram of the wait times from NOA1 to NOA2 for the past 75 NOA2s at TSC. What's really interesting is that after an early flutter of quick processes (expedited?) there is a real lull - barely anyone was processed between 160 and 200 days. Then from 240 days there is a steady increase until a giant crescendo of people being processed between 320 and 340 days*. After 360 days, or roughly one year, almost everyone had been processed, with just occasional outliers going into a second year of waiting (2 of whom went off this chart). I assumed - maybe wrongly - that these cases were delayed with RFEs or ran into other problems.
*9 of the 15 cases in the modal group were between 333 and 339 days (inclusive), and 8 of those were in the 25 most recent approved cases.
If we ignore the (assumed) expedited cases at the beginning and (assumed) challenging cases at the end, there is a fairly short window we expect to hear back about the I-130, as well as a hard stop after 360 days where we'd certainly expect to hear back by (touch wood).
For us, the difficulty isn't just the waiting, but it's not knowing how long the wait will last. After looking through recent cases we feel much more comfortable so thought I'd share for anyone in a similar position.
Being TCS and at 145 days since receiving NOA1 puts me right at the start of that dip.
Next few months going to be rough haha. -

Update: Today we got a notification that our application is being "Actively Reviewed" (Potomac Service Center). Has anyone else gotten this recently? Is everyone else that got the AR status still waiting?
I've researched it a bit and some people report that it takes days, and other sources say it should take a maximum of 60 days.
What are the next steps after AR?
Congrats!
Since you applied in September, it shouldn't take too long I recon.
I would get your police clearance and birth certificate sorted. Those are valid for 6 months and I don't see you having to wait much longer than six months for NVC stage.

I paid the fee on the 15th of February and still have 'fee received'.
This system is frustrating.
