Hello people. I was wondering why I was getting any emails. Lol. It has been 16 days since they received the RFE info, how long does it normally take after they get the info back?
When I got my RFE, they no longer emailed. It took just over 2 weeks. Be on the lookout for the mail!

Wow! thats amazing, but I think that this happened because of the embassy trying to move the case even further back right @Amy Carol Wolff ???
I wouldnt like pissing up the consulate and we already got the airplane tickets so I think we will wait, better safe than sorry
This happened because they had administrative issues in general - nothing relating to our case. We had our plane tickets too, but honestly, it's worth the extra cash to make the change. Now we're just waiting to have the actual visa in hand! Good luck to you!

Congratulations! I'm happy for you! This all worked out for the best! So POE is very soon!
Yep! Hope to have the visa in hand in the next few days - Tuesday maybe! Then we'll cross at El Paso and head directly home! <3

You guys! We got approved today! YAY! It was a crazy last week - our Oct 9 appointment was cancelled and moved to Nov 3 because the embassy needed a "administrative day". This would have been a nightmare because our wedding date is Oct 21 - already have people flying from all around the world. Thankfully, I had the Senator involved since I got our RFE. His office called and before we knew it, we were on our way to Ciudad Juarez this past monday! I can't tell you how amazing this group has been <3. Thanks for the support.

Hello,
My fiancé and I have recently had our I-129F approved by USCIS and are awaiting the point when our case will be forwarded to the Montreal consulate and we can schedule the interview for the K-1 visa. In anticipation of this we have begun to gather the required documents.
My question pertains to form I-134 affidavit of support. I understand that if we require a co-sponsor to meet the income requirement of 125% of the poverty level that the co-sponsor will need to fill out a separate I-134 for themselves in addition to mine (the petitioner). If the co-sponsor’s income is sufficient to meet the 125% requirement, what supplementary documents are needed as evidence of this? Are pay stubs alone enough, or will it be required that they provide other evidence a well, such as tax documents, letter from employer etc.?
Also, if the co-sponsor if a legal permanent resident, what documents will be required to prove this fact? Is it enough to have copy of their permanent resident card and passport or will more be required?
Rule of thumb - more evidence never hurts. Get the letter, have your most recent tax year, bank statements, balances. Go all the way for this. I saw 3 people turned down today because of lack of financial proof.

Hello, I just got an email stating my appointment for ASC and consulate was cancelled. I logged in to check and I was unable to make a new appointment. Any ideas of what is going on? My appointment was for ciudad juarez.
Hi there! Wanted to check in and see how you're doing? Any resolution? With our Senator's help we were able to move our appointment to this week!
-
Hey all. Had the most frustrating thing happen today. Our Oct 9 appointment in juarez was cancelled because the Embassy is undergoing "administrative procedures". They rescheduled us for Nov 3. You guys think it's ok for him to visit now that we have a longer wait? Don't want to go that long without seeing him! He has a B1/b2 visa.
-
-
Has anyone traveled to visit once interview is scheduled? We want to surprise my mom for her birthday this month. Our interview is Nov 3. He would probably stay for 3 weeks and then we'd fly back together for interview stuff. Thoughts?
-
Hi friends. A bit overwhelmed at the moment. Our appointment was canceled and rescheduled due to "Consular administrative procedures" that they are undergoing. They're no longer doing interviews on our date. I spent a long time on the phone today and the only solution they had was November 3rd. So...onward.
one question - since we now don't have our October date and my mother's birthday is this month, we'd like for him to come visit to celebrate. We are thinking that he'd just stay until we need to travel on Oct 30 for the appointment. He has a B1/B2 visa. Any recommendations?

I did, soon as NVC gave our number
Sorry for the delay
Did you run into any issues with your confirmation date being different than your appointment letter date?
-
Hi!
i want to confirm something. I received the NVC letter. the one that said my case is now at the embassy. I went ahead and filled out the DS-160 and made the appointment. I'm still waiting for communication from the embassy right? Will the embassy send both me and my fiancé a copy of the packet? Asking because the mail System in Mexico stinks.
-
Hey friends - quick advice! We have our case number and invoice number from the NVC. We are completing the DS 160 so we can schedule our appointment. One of the final pieces is that we certify we've received a hard copy of the IMBRA pamphlet...we've not get received our packet from the embassy, but he reviewed the IMBRA pamphlet online. Should we go ahead and submit the form?
-
hi!
I wanted to know if I can complete the DS-160 before actually receiving the documents from the embassy? I have all of the info from the NVC (numbers etc).
Thanks!

Need a little encouragement. The accepted our RFE response on 7/20. I've not heard anything yet. Any one else in my boat? Sometimes the waiting is overwhelming.

I'll keep you posted. Should get the info next week. Crazy because I'm actually in Mexico in the town my fiancé is from so having to coordinate from abroad is super fun.
Well! I just missed one question on the application. Thankful it's a simple fix and mad at myself for missing question 5. Returning it today!

We have the same dates - 121 days since 'sent' date and their best answer is an RFE
Be sure to keep us in the loop as the reason for the rfe

Bummer
But at least it's something, huh..
May I ask, was it a physical letter only? Are you able to see the update on the website?
My dates are very similar to yours (3/13-3/16) and having no news at all is getting hard (I really feel for those who've waited even longer).
So today all I got was the notification they are sending it. I tried calling the USCIS customer service line and although they were super friendly, they aren't authorized to give specifics over the phone. I should get the actual physical letter next week. I'm sorry about the no news yet. It's seriously the worst wait!!
-
Got the notice they're sending the RFE. Bummed but hopeful it's just a simple logistic request. Any other experience?

Currently waiting our NOA2 and wanted to get some clarity because I've heard several answers.
Once we receive the approval, are we able to go ahead and fill out the DS160 and request the appointment? Do we wait a couple weeks? Does my fiance receive anything in the mail in Mexico beforehand? It would just be super helpful to have a better sense of expectations.
Appreciate it!

Filed ours on June 23! Just got the NOA today. Any ideas on wait time? Our lawyer says times are much longer right now because of back up!
