Wow! thats amazing,  but I think that this happened because of the embassy trying to move the case even further back right @Amy Carol Wolff ???

I wouldnt like pissing up the consulate and we already got the airplane tickets so I think we will wait, better safe than sorry

This happened because they had administrative issues in general - nothing relating to our case.  We had our plane tickets too, but honestly, it's worth the extra cash to make the change. Now we're just waiting to have the actual visa in hand! Good luck to you!

    Hello,

My fiancé and I have recently had our I-129F approved by USCIS and are awaiting the point when our case will be forwarded to the Montreal consulate and we can schedule the interview for the K-1 visa. In anticipation of this we have begun to gather the required documents.

My question pertains to form I-134 affidavit of support. I understand that if we require a co-sponsor to meet the income requirement of 125% of the poverty level that the co-sponsor will need to fill out a separate I-134 for themselves in addition to mine (the petitioner). If the co-sponsor’s income is sufficient to meet the 125% requirement, what supplementary documents are needed as evidence of this? Are pay stubs alone enough, or will it be required that they provide other evidence a well, such as tax documents, letter from employer etc.?

Also, if the co-sponsor if a legal permanent resident, what documents will be required to prove this fact? Is it enough to have copy of their permanent resident card and passport or will more be required?

Rule of thumb - more evidence never hurts. Get the letter, have your most recent tax year, bank statements, balances. Go all the way for this. I saw 3 people turned down today because of lack of financial proof.

Hello, I just got an email stating my appointment for ASC and consulate was cancelled. I logged in to check and I was unable to make a new appointment. Any ideas of what is going on? My appointment was for ciudad juarez.

Hi there! Wanted to check in and see how you're doing? Any resolution? With our Senator's help we were able to move our appointment to this week!

  4. Hi friends. A bit overwhelmed at the moment. Our appointment was canceled and rescheduled due to "Consular administrative procedures" that they are undergoing. They're no longer doing interviews on our date. I spent a long time on the phone today and the only solution they had was November 3rd. So...onward.

one question - since we now don't have our October date and my mother's birthday is this month, we'd like for him to come visit to celebrate. We are thinking that he'd just stay until we need to travel on Oct 30 for the appointment. He has a B1/B2 visa. Any recommendations?

Bummer :( But at least it's something, huh..

May I ask, was it a physical letter only?  Are you able to see the update on the website?

My dates are very similar to yours (3/13-3/16) and having no news at all is getting hard (I really feel for those who've waited even longer).

So today all I got was the notification they are sending it. I tried calling the USCIS customer service line and although they were super friendly, they aren't authorized to give specifics over the phone. I should get the actual physical letter next week. I'm sorry about the no news yet. It's seriously the worst wait!! :(

  6. Currently waiting our NOA2 and wanted to get some clarity because I've heard several answers.

Once we receive the approval, are we able to go ahead and fill out the DS160 and request the appointment? Do we wait a couple weeks? Does my fiance receive anything in the mail in Mexico beforehand? It would just be super helpful to have a better sense of expectations.

    Appreciate it!
