I'm Checking my bank account every hour to be honest with you. I did call USCIS 2 days ago and the customer care rep said that I have to wait 15 to 30 days before they can get to my file. The application package was delivered on June 26th, so today is the 15th day. Still no update on it. I also see every filer here has received the NOA within 2-3 days of application delivery so I don't get it why it would take so long to just receive the application

I have the same expiry date. I sent mine July 3rd. Got the text yesterday saying they received it and the payment from my credit card went through. Might be worth following up. The likelihood is that they will reject it and send it back to you.

K1's aren't in a category affected by the change.

    https://www.uscis.gov/news/news-releases/uscis-to-expand-in-person-interview-requirements-for-certain-permanent-residency-applicants

"Effective Oct. 1, USCIS will begin to phase-in interviews for the following:
     • Adjustment of status applications based on employment (Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status).
     • Refugee/asylee relative petitions (Form I-730, Refugee/Asylee Relative Petition) for beneficiaries who are in the United States and are petitioning to join a principal asylee/refugee applicant."

As mentioned there has already been a very recent interview by a CO at the foreign consulate for K1's - which is in line with an immigrant visa interview and not a non-immigrant visa interview as far as the scope and requirements. That is still the case, and will allow K1's (so far) to still be considered for interview waivers as previously.

Congrats on your approval OP! :D

Oh sweet. The articles I previously read were vague and didn't mention the k1. Good to know!

Congrats on your recent GC approval :)

You can walk into your nearest Social Security Administration Office with your passport, I-94, GC and a pen to fill the application there. Once you finish the process at the office(takes about 10 minutes) you will receive your SS card in mail within 2 weeks... all the best :)

Sweet. Thank you! Can you get the number instantly or is it a definite wait?

  4. So yesterday I had my interview, the officer couldn't approve us on the spot because of an issue with my medical but she said she was going to look into.

However, about 20 minutes later I got the case status updates: the i485 went to card in production and i130 went to interview complete my case must be reviewed.

Does this mean I am approved or is there still a chance of rfe?

    thanks :)
