If we were depending on my limited savings and my spouse's income which is way below our actual expenses

Isnt it a severe financial loss to the individual ?

And I today only reseived an email saying "We received your request to expedite the decision on your application. Your case is currently under review. You will receive a decision or notice of further action shortly" wahat you think about that ?

    107 days since PD

Well from what I heard a job offer and emergency situation like death, losing job, or pregnancy are the main factors for approval. You could try that but still if you are above poverty line and your wife and yourself share finances based on your application, I doubt they would take it seriously.

it means they will Contact you for either evidence or a decision on your case. Usually 7-10 days for mail to deliver

    Greetings

After 106 days  and 2 SR  I today have called USCIS enquiring about my EAD  on my second call I was lucky to have the representer to listen and placed an expedited SR based on a severe financial loss to an indvidual  that there is one person working and we r  burning our savings ...

My question is what documents I can provide to show my financial loss..

    P.S

Congratulatiobs to all EAD/AP and Interviewnotice recepients..hood luck to us all

Job offer, pregnant wife, and/or wife losing a job and cut the source of income.

Unless you had a job offer, or emergency situation, you shouldn't have requested to expedite because you won't be able to send supporting docs.

Anyone know how long the USCIS officer takes to respond to a service request after getting this message? I was supposed to get a response today.

On August 21, 2017, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number SRxxxxxxxxxMSC, was assigned to an officer for response.

No one knows really. in my case, It took 3 hours to be completed.

I didn't hear anything until 9 days later when they approved my EAD.

I just checked my mailbox and I found my combo card! Should I wait 10 days before applying for ssn?

No need, just go tomorrow morning or whenever you are available.

Take passport, EAD, your Visa, and  your Case receipt.

PS. It's probably going to be a long wait, and so far they ain't gonna let you use your phone inside the SSN office, so don't take any bottle, lighter, or whatsoever,

It's secure place, like an airport.

    When was it completed?

Mine was completed on friday 08/11 and I just got the response in the mail yesterday, so you'll probably wait for a few days before it gets to you. They usually don't send anything to your e-mail.

Mine was completed 08/11 but I haven't received a response yet. I put mine 08/03, and I am still waiting for response. I got bored earlier so I raised a third one, so they can just suck it.

Also, sorry to get political, but the more the political and social climate intensifies in this country, the more desperate I am to get this process done. I really don't need to be ripped away from my career and my family, and dumped on a plane due to some new surprise law. Sometimes I wonder if it's even worth it. Why do I want to be here so bad anyway? This place is nuts.

You should have seen it after Sep 11, It was way worse back then. It is just the bureaucratic racial structure of the system. They fear globalization. They think it will vanish the American culture, which is something that never existed in first place. So, they try to make immigration (GC, Citizenship) as complicated as possible. But don't worry, being a british comes in handy in those situations. You have higher leverage and security. Hope your case see the light soonx

So, remember I put in an SR regarding my response to the RFE? It was just assigned to an officer for response. Hopefully I hear back soon. I do believe that my case has been moved over to my local field office though. So, that's good news. Hopefully I've have an interview date soon.

Do you happen to remember how long did it take to get the USCIS response by mail after your SR?

The waiting game for me is finally over, I got scheduled for interview and I went yesterday to the Charlotte office, they're very professional set of officers. No pressures at all, all questions easy. I Have a suggestion for all applicants, call the uscis office as often as possible to make your enquiries, it doesn't harm you or them, 😂. My Green card is approved and thus overruled the work permit I  applied for. I appreciate God and VJ for this success.

I filed all applications myself no attorney.

If you need any help with your interview or submissions I can help.

    Best wishes folks

    Hey,

I am in the Charlotte office too,

Can you tell me more about the interview? Also, did u expedite or SR on anything?

    Hello All,

I filed my AOS application on May 24th - still no update on EAD. We are expecting our baby in September. Is there a way I can request USCIS to expedite my work permit?

    Thank you.

Your baby is your job offer, literally!!

Just call USCIS, and request to expedite. Choose Emergency and financial loss, reason? having a baby (You can say things like your wife will not work for a while, and the baby expenses, ...etc).

I honestly dont think u even need to contact ur congressman, having a baby is a good reason for them to make it quick

It means someone over at USCIS looked at your request. You'll prob receive something in your email or mail.

FYI during my expedite process, my status updated to "we sent a response" and "it was completed" like 6 times. This is why I think this combination of updates is a touch and nothing else. However, since this is your first touch, you should expect correspondence.

It is funny because I put a SR on the 2nd of August and it was pending until I put a second SR earlier today. Literally, 2 hours after I put the second SR, I received the email with this update. I have no idea how the USCIS progress anything at this point

  12. I have a question folks:
