AOS for spouse and unmarride child (4 yrs) from a visitor visa
AOS received on May 9
NOA date May 17
Bio. Fees received on May 15
Bio. Appt. June 8 - Walkin May 30
NO CHANGE & NO UPDATE since May 30
Guys any updates in your applications process & do you have any idea what is beeing cooked in my case or similar cases?
USCIS is under staffed. Cases takes time. No one knows what could happen next for any case. If you filed everything 100% correct. You will probably have your interview scheduled update anytime between 1-3 months after the biometrics. There's no specific timeline

I faxed my documents for my EAD expedite request two days ago, does anyone know how I can check if they have received it? Do I call the USCIS number again? I haven't heard anything from them yet.
They usually take up to 7 days from arrival day to process the docs.
so don't worry.

Hello everyone all be sending my AOS this June I guess that makes me a June filer. My question is which the right address to send all the AOS documents? Or every states has a different address And do u include wedding photos as part of evidence? Joint bank outs? Thank you.
I honestly think you should read the instruction very well before sending. You should find the address if you click on where to file in the main page.
And if you look in the instruction, you will find the example of the evidence. You can send photos, but don't send photo albums.
Once again read the instruction very well, and only send what they want you to send. Additional info could be provided by you in the interview

The problem is my attorney. They are handling my papers from day 1 and know all the loops. I cannot do anything or call Uscis without their knowledge. I know that I have to wait as my papers are filed in Texas. It has a longer waiting period. Will want everyones prayers at this time. Thanks
If you hired an attorney, you shouldn't be asking questions here really.
if you don't trust your attorney, then you have a bigger problem.
I don't know your case, but if it's just AOS from legal statue, you're fine. You should be able to call USCIS and ask them questions about your recipient. Just don't do that before 1 month from Arrival

No reason to be worried, biometric letter is issued anytime between 10 days - 30 days after you receive your NOA

Hello everyone.
My USC spouse and I are about to submit our Concurrent Filling package (I-130, I-485, I-864, I-765 & I-131) within the next couple of days. However my I-693 form won't be completed until June 2. The Civil Surgeon where I have done my medical exam is only available on that day. My I-94 expires the next day, June 3.
HELP! Should we submit the whole package without the I-693 (wait for RFE to submit) or wait until June 2 to submit the COMPLETE package? You should have went to another doctor in the first place. Anyway,
If you submit everything 100% correct without the med form, they will send u a ref, but also consider that USCIS may not send you acceptance notification for 2-6 weeks, so if you finished your medical form before that, you won't be able to send it without the case #
As well, a Ref delay the case for at least 5 days, and at least 5 more days from the date they receive your response.
I would just recommend you to wait,
but you can submit I-130 then I-485 when you finish your exam, or just submit everything without the medical form and hope for the best

Yep, 90% of the time as long as you're willing to wait behind everyone else that's prioritized because their appointment was that time and day, they'll get you in no problem usually — 9% of the time people get rejected because they're too busy for walk-ins that day, and 1% of the time you'll get that one guy who says you must come when scheduled. I also showed up early, although only two days early for mine and I didn't have any issues as long as I was bumped to be one of the last people they help for the day.
I'd also recommend to go after noon like after lunch hour for any gov related walk in (SSN, biometrics, DMV,...etc)
afrer lunch is usually the best time to drop in because people go for morning dates

So I found a lot of people wondering about the ASC office at Charlotte NC. I decided to try and do a walk in since my appointment date for the biometrics wasn't convenient. I did a walk in a week earlier and they let me do it.
The office was pretty empty, like only 2 people came since I entered. And the staff is pretty nice.
i did my walk in on Monday by 1 PM

I just checked the calendar based on what ahas44 just said, hoping for the 6th here
Actually I received my biometrics letter 16 days after my package was delivered and 7 days after my NOA letters.

Hello All,
AOS/AP/EAD package received in Chicago on 5/3...
Just this evening, 5/9, I received text message/e-mail with case numbers. Check hasn't been cashed even.
My first submission was rejected because of wrong amount on the check as I had forgotten to include the biometrics fee.
Anyway, happy it's moving forward.
sam here!!
Received 5/02, and received the texts and Emails last night. We pretty much have same timeline
-
so I just received 4 Email/Texts receipt notice from the USCIS
The weird thing is they didn't cash the check yet

both my lease and my wife's ends the last day of July, since we just got married, and it's really hard to sublease here. We are not living together, but we spend 3-4 nights a week together since I am still a student, graduating this may.
We literally live two blocks away (0.4 miles apart), so I am wondering if that will be a problem for the I-130? Do I need to write explanation why we don't live together? I just don't want to lie about anything in the I-130, so I dont wanna say we living together.

My Wife's income is slightly below the Poverty line, so we are using here assets. My wife got a joint bank account with her parents. She been on the account for 2 years [ we have the bank statement with her name on it from 2015]. The account always been in a good condition, and the balance in the account been increasing every month. [It got more than what we need for the past 12 months].
we went to the bank and they gave us a paper that proves my wife doesn't need a co-signer to take money or deposit money, another one state that she been an account holder for 2 years, and we have the last 15 statements, so I am wondering if that will be enough for the USCIS?
We just don't want to ask anyone to be a co-signer for me, and I really really hope that the documents we have will be enough. Logically, it should be enough but you never know what to expect.

Not at all. Marriage certificates don't usually (as far as I'm aware) have the exact location you were born, they merely show what your birth country is. It's not a problem and is completely normal. They wouldn't expect anything different.
Thanks man!
I kinda freaked out since we got the marriage certificate today. I honestly didn't even remember the exact county of birth when we applied for it so I just put the state.
-
My Birth certificate indicates the city I was born at, unlike the marriage certificate, which asks for the county.
Long story short, my place of birth in my birth certificate doesn't match the marriage certificate, so I am wondering if that will be a problem before I send my AOS papers? Everything (Name, Age, Parents, Country) all matches, except the city of birth tho.
Thanks,

My problem is I'm on F1 Visa and I work part time, but the majority of my income goes toward my tuitions, so I don't have much savings for now.
We could be a little lucky as my wife had the joint ownership of the account for over 2.5 years now and the amount in the account been increasing every month.
thanks for your help guys..
