Did you get a notification with "interview to be scheduled" in local office or letter that the case was transferred to NBC Lee's summit for the interview?
No I don’t think it was ever transferred and nothing was mentioned about where it would be scheduled, still patiently waiting for the letter to come...

Just curious: Does any have MSC as their service center? Or heard about it
There is very limited info on its processing times and cases even on the USCIS website.
It's not listed as a processing center for I-741 on the website.
Thanks!
MSC here, got a “interview to be scheduled” since 2 weeks ago, wonder what’s gonna happen...

Hello!!! Please help!!! My husbands' interview is Monday but the doctor who did his medical asked him for an additional letter from his doctor. He provided that today and they told him it will take 3 business days to review and clear him. That obviously isn't happening before Monday. Has anyone had this happen where they don't have the clearance from the medical before the interview. What happened at the interview. We are a nervous wreck. Any advice given will be greatly appreciated
Please make sure the medical centre has a receipt for your husband to proof that he has done the check up already. He can give that receipt to embassy and they will issue visa when they receive his report. This won't affect the interview don't worry!

Hi Everyone,
Looks like the JAN17 filers has gone a bit quiet ;-)
What's the update on everyone's status?
It has been 18 days since my entry here and everything is going smoothly... SSN arrived in the mail after 10 days, still waiting on the physical GC and Im studying for my Driver's license knowledge test (thanks California).
Life, on a daily basis, has become a lot quieter after a crazy year of working, preparing for the move and bidding Adieu to friends and family. After 20+ years of non-stop work, I never realized I would feel so tired now that I'm finally able to relax. No one should underestimate the potential burnout and emotional shock that immigrating represents.
Settling down needs time.
This weekend, we witnessed an incredible human wave going down Market street, the woman march one year after the president's first 365 days in office. This was truly empowering.
Being part of this spirit, this energy, becoming a resident of this immense country is an electrifying change! But most of all, remember the reason why you're here or will be here : love and being able to share your daily life with your better half, and this is priceless :-)
This is very inspiring thanks for sharing... I'm still in Asia and my husband is busy moving to a new apt so everything can be set when i come in 28 days, but we are both very exhausted coz i'm rounding up stuff here working til next week, stressed out about moving to a new country without a job (my company screwed me over by retrieving their offer in US region), we have a wedding to plan (we havent had our actual wedding party yet) so we argue quite a bit, it's hard for both of us coz he's upset that he's still waiting for me even after i got my visa.... But you're so right we did all this so we can be together and nothing else matters... We should appreciate everything we did for each other... it's easy to be distracted by other stuff and forget the reason behind it.
Have a very good life and good luck with the driving test!! (I'll have to do the same I'll be based in LA)

The online status still says 'Case Approved'. But My husband checked with USCIS on December 20th and they said they have sent.
Dec 20 plus 14 days, on top of christmas and new year, i believe they will receive it these few days!

what if six weeks have already passed since our NOA2 and NVC still says not received, though USCIS say they have sent it long back?
IS there anything we can do apart from waiting and calling them? I'm worried if this is unusual?
NOA2 date not equal to sent date. Check when your USCIS status is changed to "sent to DOS" and it usually counts 14 days from there.
Mine took 38 days from NOA2 to received, took another 22 days to create a case.

Quick question for anyone who may know. I called NVC yesterday an was told they still have no case # for me but I did receive 1 this morn as it was forward to a supervisor yesterday. How long until I receive a email with the next steps from them???
Did they give you a case # + invoice #? I had the invoice# when i called them then it took a while for them to create a case# but turns out the email came right after they created it before we tried to call.
If you already have both numbers you can just start logging in to the system. https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

Visa approved!!!
Frustrating, stressful and at times angering! At each step of the process I communicated with TSC, NVC and even the US Embassy in Manila.
My wife is sleeping peacefully tonight and will reach Washington DC within 2 weeks!
Fellow VJ members.. 344 days from PD to visa approved. No lawyer, no rfe. Just know the process is taking a couple months longer now. Keep your faith and remain proactive in this process. It will happen! Thank you God and best to all on this wild journey.... Happy 2018!
Oh wow!! congrats!!!!! Really happy for you guys!!!!
I got mine on Dec 29 but i scheduled to finish off work stuff and bank stuff this month and set off mid-Feb. So excited!!!

It shouldn't be, but you need to keep evidence of your relationship, the documents involved shouldn't be as crazy and I believe you only have to deal with USCIS.
There is biometrics again and a possible interview, I think those happen at local USCIS offices.
There's a guide for it
Sounds lovely Thanks for the headsup tho didnt even thought about it.

Please how do you check to see if visa is ready. we just had an interview, but unable to create an account with the information provided at the embassy. We are having a hard time registering or creating a login account on www.ustraveldocs.com/ng. country is Nigeria
Thanks
You should be able to create an account before the interview, meaning that your information at NVC stage would be enough to create it (that's what i did). Which part is it that does not allow you to create it?

Congrats!🍾🥂
How was the interview? If u dnt mind me asking.
Thanks! Interview went well i posted the detailed report on my timeline. Since my country is one of a few new paperless system i received no package just a piece of paper and the visa.
They also used my case as training purpose during the interview which made me extra nervous but the questions were pretty standard.
One thing to note is they automatically assign a translator to everyone but i deliberately spoke to the local officers who collected my documents in English so they wont assign me a translator because i noticed that they sometimes leave out information during translation. (and there is no privacy it's a big room everyone in the line get to witness your interview lol)

I wonder how many of us will run into each other here in 2 years for green card renewal.
I've seen people are having a really hard time with that right now, the wait is at least a year where it used to be 4-5 months.
So the ride isn't over yet.
Is it gonna be as painful and complicated? I'm not ready for another year of history study yet...

Happy New Year all!!! An update on interview approval, no papers was given to me after the officer said it's approved. A week later i picked up the package and received a piece of pink paper stating that a $220 green card fee will have to be paid before entry to US! So visa on hand Dec 29!!!
Wish everyone a smooth interview!
-
Happy new year all!! Husband was originally planning on picking me up on this trip, but i have to round up work and family stuff but hey, VISA ON HAND!!!!!!

Look into details, start gathering info for BOTH NVC and interview so that you will be ready when the time comes.

Sorry for the delay...you must have gotten everything by now. The only paper they gave him was a list of instructions for picking up the visa. They didn't even give him the visa invoice!! According to my husband, no one that was interviewing with him that day received the invoice. We had to obtain the necessary info from the visa stamp.
Ah!! gotcha! I will collect passport today maybe there's extra information attached to it (looks like i worried too much) Thanks!!!

The interview was very quick. They asked him how we met, what kind of work I do, what kind of work he did in London, and where we had our wedding. Then, they asked to see wedding pictures. Then, they told him he was approved!
Hello there! I got approved this morning too! Did they give your husband any sort of paper? I received nothing it just doesnt feel solid lol

USCIS received case in Dec 2019
Biometric taken in Jan 2020
Notification of interview to be scheduled March 2021
Interview date Sep 2021
Even tho it takes forever for the interview to happen the timeline has been 18months before Covid, not so bad in my opinion..
