Joana/Daniel got a reaction from lara u. in January 2017 I-129F Filers
Thanks Ms. Lara. Today is my 4th day under non immigrant AP. And honestly, I'm getting more anxious and stress everytime I check the status and no update. I just hope I'll not get stuck in AP as other experienced. I called the embassy today but as usual the agent cannot tell further information about my status he only said that my case is under review by consular. Praying hard that visa will issued soon.

It's normal! The status really changes to non immigrant and can stay in AP for a few days.

When it has changed to AP - non-immigrant, they are usually in the midst of issuing your visa before changing it to issued.

This is all very typical and nothing to worry about. Every case goes through AP...some longer than others, but it's always there. It's only been 2 business days since the interview. They don't work on weekends or holidays (US or PI).
It took about 3 business days for our case to go from interview -> AP -> Issued. Then a few more days for visa delivery. YMMV
Never book a flight before the visa is in hand.

Joana/Daniel reacted to Hank_ in Does anyone enter their DS-160 confirmation# to interview appointment?
UID is what most have.
You shouldn't have at issue at the interview with your name.
Did you enter your middle name with your first name as given name?

Joana/Daniel reacted to Hank_ in Does anyone enter their DS-160 confirmation# to interview appointment?
Yes I have read that also, yet I know most don't complete the DS-160 until later.
Don't worry about entering the number to schedule the interview if you can find a space to do so, as long as you are allowed to get your interview scheduled all is good.
Complete the DS-160, print out copies of the confirmation page as you will need copies for St. Luke's the 2nd day of the medical and then a copy is needed for the interview.

Joana/Daniel reacted to Hank_ in Should I base in CEAC status before I proceed paying Visa and schedule Interview
Most times the case file reaches the embassy in about 2 weeks after you receive your MNL#.
If you gave yourself 3-4 from the time you received your MNL# you would have time to spare is my thinking.
Nothing in the process takes all that long anymore, you can do the medical a day or two before the interview even.
Until you receive your MNL# you can make sure everything is correct with your birth certificate, etc.

Here is a link to the process. http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/index.php/2-visa-process/3-usem-k-1-visa
Until you have your MNL# nothing will be happening.
As for appointment openings, they vary day to day, just because an early date isn't showing today doesn't mean they are all gone.

Joana/Daniel got a reaction from LizJ in Should I base in CEAC status before I proceed paying Visa and schedule Interview
Hello,
Good advice. I'll take note of that. Yeah, maybe I shouldn't wait for the status of CEAC for me to schedule the interview. Since I can adjust the interview online depending on the available dates.
Thank you so much and Godbless!

You have to pay the visa first before you can schedule an interview. Once you obtain your case number you can pay visa right away and schedule a medical and interview. Give atleast a month from receiving the case number to interview so that you will have the embassy letter with you on time of your interview. You'll be done by August to do all that. Good luck 😊

Joana/Daniel reacted to A'n'L in After NOA 2 Preparation and Clarification
1) No, he should send you a copy. He needs to hang on to the original for your future AOS application.
2) Petitioner will receive the hardcopy. The beneficiary doesn't need the paper, just the case number.
3-5) Country specific
6) Depends on your expectations.
7) Possibly/probably

Joana/Daniel reacted to zamishi in After NOA 2 Preparation and Clarification
hello there, I have the same question as you do, but I will answer some question of yours that I could. I am the Petitioner and I am based here in California and my fiance, he is in the Philippines...Will the petitioner receive a hard copy of NVC with case #? YES, I did receive a letter from NVC here In California saying that my fiance petition is approved and it has the Case # and his name and my name and it says there that they will contact my fiancee when they are ready to process his petition. My question is how are they going to deliver it to him Manila, same like your question, is it through email? text? or Mail to the house address. YOU ARE RIGHT, some forum says that no need to wait and just schedule an interview, and some do say also that it never gets received. Supposedly it takes 6 months to the least for the whole process to be completed. I filed mine on January 10, 2017. Hopefully more people will answer this post so we can know more.

Joana/Daniel got a reaction from K&M's Journey in Birth Certificate Name Change
Yes, it matched po. I got passport the time that my mom already fixed my birth certificate. However, at first glance you may not notice the name correction at the side of BC because that's where they put the corrected name. Thank you so much I really appreciate your help! I am just too excited to get the approval of NOA2. Anticipating this week or next week. So as early as now, I am doing some research. Thank you ♥

Joana/Daniel reacted to notantifun in Requirements to obtain while waiting for NOA2 approval
The US Embassy in Manila seems to have a new requirement for Philippine beneficiaries. They now require CENOMARs to be couriered directly to their office. There was thread on here a few weeks ago, for the life of me I couldn't find it where a beneficiary who just had her interview say that, adding it's best to order your CENOMAR once you've already received you case number (after NOA2).

I should have given you this website before. Sorry, I just remembered it.

Also, I found this website extremely helpful for a step by step guide.
