Well, there wasn't any bubble at all to begin with 😄 I was simply curious as to what it meant. At first, I thought it meant that was how long it'll take to get the NOA, but obviously I received that much sooner, so was wondering what that meant. Will simply ignore it if there's really not much relevance to it. Thanks for your response!

HELLO!! I'm back to the forum!!! Just applied for my husband's N400 in July. I'm a bit confused on how long this is going to take.. Seems quite different than the visa process since now it's depended on our field office?
Estimated case completion time March 2021 (8 months)
Submitted on July 09, 2020

JB209 got a reaction from PaoloItaly in Removing "valid only with DHS authorization"from SS
Take green card and passport as sometimes they ask for two IDs. Shouldnt cost anything. Use the receipt they provide for your job/hiring and you will get a new SSC in the mail

JB209 got a reaction from USA17 in Processing Times (I-751) for MSC (National Benefits Center)
Got approved yesterday. The whole process took 30 minutes walking in to out the door of the building. There was no one else doing interviews at the time but us. The interview itself inside the lady's office took 10 minutes. The USCIS officer took us both at the same time and had our file with every paper we've submitted for this process.
She asked, how did you two meet? When did you start dating? Who proposed? How was the proposal? do you have kids?
At the same time she was filling out a form and checking some information like: full name, SSN, address.
At the end she said we were approved and that we should get the new card in a week or so.

You should always apply for citizenship once your window opens regardless of the current status of your ROC

You should get a letter in the mail soon with the interview date. I got the interview letter about 5 days after status changed to "we scheduled an interview".

JB209 got a reaction from suhridkhan in How long does it take to get Green Card after arriving in USA with a CR1 visa
I got it about 6 weeks after arrival in late August 2017. I started working with just the I-551 stamp.
Two lessons from my personal experience:
1. I did not get the SSN in the mail with the green card therefore I had to go to Social Security office to request one. My employer required the receipt of request from the Social Security Office.
2. Do not mention during the application/interview process as it may make it convoluted that you only have the I-551 stamp. Rather once hired and filling out paperwork with HR, explain them and work with them while filling up the I-9 form

JB209 reacted to stacyt in K1 Visa - immigration attorney or not?
In short, I would put it this way.
Lawyer
pros:
save time on research, package assembly and filling your forms have evidence reviewed and evaluated prior to submission eliminate chances to make errors when filling the form have questions/concerns answered by a pro have an additional person to stay on track of status updates and USCIS letters cons:
chances to get an underqualified or incompetent lawyer which will affect your case additional cost potential delays at the initial stage due to an additional layer of bureaucracy
No lawyer
pros:
you're in control of filling the forms and including evidence no delays at the initial stage, you control the timeline no additional cost cons:
a possibility of misunderstanding the forms or instructions and therefore making mistakes in your package the time-consuming process of research and proofreading your forms a possibility of following bad advice from an online forum or blog That's how I see it.

JB209 got a reaction from stacyt in K1 Visa - immigration attorney or not?
Firs time ever I see someone here saying they used a lawyer and were happy with the results, which is nice to hear since every time someone asks about lawyer in VJ they get the craziest responses ever. We used a lawyer too for a CR1, and wouldn't change that for the world.
