Yes, that's correct. I've been in contact Sen. Gillibrand already and USCIS replied that my case is "under review by/assigned to an officer"

okay. You have to be very aggressive in inquiring about your case.  Every  45-60 days ask you senator to follow up on it. I used to alternate between my Senator and Representative. For instance i  contact my senator this month,  wait 30-45 days if no answer. I go see my Representative ask them to follow up on it. Wait 45-60 days if no answer , go back to the senator ask them to inquire abt the case.

Did you send them a privacy release form after filling out the comment section?.. If not You need to fill out that Privacy release form on your senators website. Print , Fill it out, scan and email it to their office OR you can print out the form and personally drop it off at their offices OR you can fax it to them. Based on your profile you are in Virginia you have 2 senators. I looked them up for you.

https://www.warner.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/helpwithfederalagencies   ( at the bottom there is a link to download and print the Privacy release form)

https://www.kaine.senate.gov/services/help  ( Make sure you fill the privacy release form after completing this section).

IMPORTANT TIP: 1. Don't send anything this weekend because the offices  are closed. Wait till Monday and to send your forms or else they will just be buried.

                                    2. After submiting your inquiry call the office and ask them if they received it.

                                    3. If you don't hear anything in 2 weeks, call the senators office and follow up.

                                    4. You can contact another senator if you feel like the one you contacted initially isn't doing a good job or is too slow in getting you a response.

Remember: The key to getting things done is persistence.

I hope this immigration get back to me ..cuz I’m just confused right now

Contact your Senator for a follow up.   My senators were always fast in getting me a response. 1-2 weeks at most.

When I checked this link , just give me info Explainion about what is purpose for i 9 form .

Definitely yes as you mentioned I have to provide them My A Number On the form .

Just  Very werried if Employer want to see physical GC or Make copy of it .

Should I allow to employer to See my GC or Make copy of it ? Is safe or legal ?

I stand corrected. if you give them your state ID and Social security card ( which does not have  a restriction stamp on it) they can not demand to see your GC. If you give them your GC alone,  they can not ask for your state ID and/or  social. So yes, if you don't want to show your employer your GC you don't have to.  I was just reading up on this today. Here is a much better read; https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/acceptable-documents/list-documents/form-i-9-acceptable-documents

Each state has two U.S. Senators.

Congressmen handle smaller geographical regions within each state.

Sometimes, you can get quicker action working through your Congressman's office.

Ok but Just to share this with others my experience with representatives has been a little different. My senators have always been quicker than my representative.  For instance, i still haven't heard from my representative for the last inquiry i made ( he wanted me to wait 30 days) but my senator was able to get me a response within 3 days .  3 days was faster than the  7 days i was accustomed to , even i was taken aback by how fast it was. I am actually thinking about contacting my representative after the 30 days just to get a kick out of it.

Yes it is legal and they have make copies of documents you provide for their records.

    Hi guys ,

    quick question please .

I'm green card holder I have new job offer now .

I had interview with manager and asking me to do paperwork very soon .

Also manager asked me to bring driving license , SSN card , GC just in case .

Just I have had read online it says

Employers must never reverifyU.S. citizens. In most cases, lawful permanent residents do not need to be reverified .

I don't know what is correct answer .

1- Do employers have to reverify permanent resident cards? What about if they want to see it .

2- Should I provide them with My A Number on i9 form ?

    Thanks

Yes, you provide your A number on the form. They will make a copy of your documents too. I believe you can just provide you GC and SSN.  For more info;  https://www.uscis.gov/i-9  click on on one of the documents and go to the  last page. It has a list of acceptable documents

Re new medical reminder  February 2019

still no updates (didn't do medical as yet waitng for interview requests)

    File in NYC (Queens)

Get your Senator involved. Tell him to inquire about your i-485 status. I have had plenty of luck with senators moving things along. Good luck.

Am new here and am going straight to the point .
ive been married to a USC wife and still married since May 2018 . I filed my AOS with her and I was called for interview. It was a long interview and I was asked about my divorce from back home (my country ) . The immigration interviewer asked me why I put married when renewing my Dropbox visa when I was already divorced from my first wife. I explained it was my visa agent who renewed my visa and didn’t know I was divorced then . Then the interview got heated and the lady asked my wife infront of me If she would like to continue with the marriage or cancel the marriage and application. My wife stood her ground and said she loves me and was standing by me and that she knew about my first marriage and kids from back home .

Two months after the interview, I received an RFE asking me to prove my marriage was really null and void from back home . I sent in the final divorce documents and court papers showing my marriage was really done . And USCIS received it and about 8 months later I received another RFE asking me for the same thing but that they needed a more better evidence showing my marriage was really legally done from back home . i sent it in and it took over 9 months and I received another letter from USCIS saying my applications were cancelled and I was given 30 days to leave the country , January 13th 2020 makes it 30 days actually.

These put a big strain on my marriage here since after the interview. My wife made me leave the house and pay rent too while outside and threatened to divorce and call immigration on me . It’s a long long story of ill treatment after the interview from my wife .

I was asked to refile my AOS and prove my divorce from back home by two attorneys. But, my marriage here is very shaky and on the verge of divorce. What’s the probability that she won’t leave when I refile the AOS

Am resorting to Vawa because I was so traumatized after that interview by wife here. Since I’ve been asked to leave the country, Will this affect my vawa if I file for one .

If she is mistreating  you then yo qualify for Vawa. Just curious why USCIS wouldn't accept your divorce papers from your country. As far as additional  evidence i would get some affidavits from friends and family back home stating your marriage is over. Also Float the idea of filing VAWA with your attorney instead of refilling AOS and see what he/she says. Jan 13th is gonna creep up on you pretty quick, so i would act  asap.

Did you submit the motion to VSC? I am asking this for you  because I saw people here that their attorneys didn't submit to VSC and the motions were denied because a motion to reopen or reconsider regarding a VAWA case must go to VSC.

My attorney sent it to the Local Field office where the denial letter came from and where my case file had been transferred to . I did bring this up about sending it VSC he said not to worry it will be okay. Fortunately my case was reopened and approved without any problems.
