Ashley Scott got a reaction from Jon & Malen in December 2016 Filers (merged)
Fingers crossed for a lot of movement this week at the good ol' USCIS. Let's hope they all had a restful weekend so that they can have a productive Monday!

I do believe that @llaz has the same date as you and is still waiting as well. I hate to see anyone having to wait that long. Fingers crossed that they finish the November petitions soon!

Ah, I'm the opposite...less is more. I only provided them with what they asked for (no front loading because it's not needed for my embassy). I sent the required documents + 2 photos, 1 boarding pass set, 1 passport page of stamps, 2 JR Pass sets, and 1 Angkor Pass set.

Day 100 here. We are a 12/23 received date so hoping to hear something soon (hoping we ALL hear something soon ). We really want to have my fiancé here for my family beach trip the first week of July so we need USCIS to get with it. I cant even imagine how the November and early December filers that haven't heard back are feeling right now. Fingers crossed that they all get their approvals soon!!

Keep your head up. We sent our packet on the same day as you and have the same NOA1 date as you. The wait is hard but we are still well within the timeframe for the NOA2. The wait is not easy. My fiancé and I have been apart since January 3 and won't be together again until his visa is in hand so I definitely want it to get here as soon as possible. In the meantime, there are hundreds of applications that were sent before ours that have not received responses yet so I know it could still be a bit before we hear something.
We all have to stay positive though. The good news is that USCIS is working cases every day and every day people are getting the responses they have been waiting for. And soon our day will come too. It is a mentally draining process but remember that everyone here has been through or is going through the same thing so try to use that as support. The wait will be more than worth it! I hope that you are able to fine some peace during the last bit of the process. It wont be too much longer until you are with your love for good!

Ashley Scott got a reaction from GazLisa in January 2017 I-129F Filers
My fiancé is from England and requested his a while back. They gave him a print off that was more like a chart. It listed the vaccinations on the left and then the dates in the boxes to the right. He just got a few more vaccinations to complete the required ones last week and has to request an updated one. I will ask him if he requested anything special but I am pretty sure he just asked them for a copy of him immunization record.

Thank you for the advice. I am actually the USC. Just trying to be as prepared as possible so we don't face many hiccups along the way. Money isn't an issue (well, as in we are prepared to pay all of the fees and costs incurred with the process...), just want to be able to pass on to my fiancé what we should expect to pay in England and when. And so I can add it to my budgets and lists because I am OCD about stuff like that. Haha.
We have started researching everything for when he gets here. We plan to go apply for his SS number shortly after he arrives and then for our marriage certificate at that time too.
Good advice on the phone. that's one we are still looking in to. Most likely he will be added to my current plan and will be getting a new phone. Not that he will complain about that... he's had his eye on an upgrade. Haha. I do not believe that my current carrier (Verizon) will work with his current phone.
We have about 95% of the documents ready. He is getting some immunizations on Friday and then we will have an updated immunization record. We got his police certificate in the post today. And I have all of my documents ready to send to him for the interview. Just waiting on the NOA2 now. Which will hopefully come any day now. Here's to hopeful thinking!!
Thank you again for the advice and the answers!

Don't stress it. There are a few things I am thinking we may get an RFE for but if we do... I at least know they are working our case and it will be an easy fix! and it's pretty quick from RFE to approve so that's always a positive!

Oh... congrats! Now your wait begins. Be patient it is a very lengthy journey! 2 - 6+ months it will feel like FOREVER though!
Good Luck!

Haha, I understand that completely. I will say though, the NOA1 hardcopy doesn't give much more information other than the NOA1 date. It will be good to have it in hand for the interview and whatnot later down the road but the fact that you have your case number and can track it on the website and apps is most important (when it comes to the waiting, lol). We sent our packet on December 21 and we got our letter in the mail on January 8th. So it took a few weeks for us. It will come. And then you can take a deep breath and start thinking about the next steps

From what I have gathered/learned from this site, all K1 visa applications are processed by the California center now. I follow the November 2016 filers thread and the December 2016 filers thread and there are some really good updates and good information in those threads regarding the processing time. Currently they are working mid December cases but seem to be moving pretty fluidly at this point. Our case was received on December 23 with an NOA1 date of Jan 5. We are still waiting for our NOA2 but are hopeful that we will receive it in the next few weeks. The waiting is really hard but we know once we get the NOA2 things will move more quickly and we will finally be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Welcome and congrats on starting your journey! If you haven't already, update your timeline on VJ so it can be calculated into estimated dates. You've got your petition in and now the wait begins. lol. Good news is it seems they are working cases a bit faster now than they were the last few months. Hopefully your wait for your NOA2 won't be too terribly long. Good luck to you guys on your journey!

Still holding out hope that it speeds up a bit! We are a January 5 NOA1 date. Hoping to get our NOA2 by April. Just (impatiently) waiting for a miraculous jump in approvals! haha

Good morning everyone. I have a random question... Hopefully one someone here can answer. ha. Which date do we go on when if comes to counting how long our case is being processed? Our NOA1 date is Jan 5 so that puts us at 47 days since then but when I get on the app to track our case it says 62 days active (our receive date was Dec 23). Not sure which one of these I should be using when it comes to our "wait time". lol.
Thanks in advance!
